I have never been so happy to hear a toilet flush!

MF, he ran a 60' snake and I was on pins and needles. What ever the blockage was bent his auger. He broke through it, but did not retrieve it.

I bought the house in December, so I don't know the history.

This problem was far beyond a plunger. The plumber is here now. He's sweating.

Best of luck with your plumbing issue....and the visual of a sweating plumber is...a visual I wish I didn't have smiling smiley

@walesmaven, I have pretty bad respiratory issues too and so do a couple of my kids...this time of year is always hard! Hope you feel better

Today, I watched a house full of kids. Then I got some homeschool time in with my own this afternoon. Went to get our allergy shots and then ran all over town for the various dance practices, etc. I did make chicken noodle soup for dinner, so it was nice to come home to a simmering pot of soup on such a cold day.

Husband and I went to the gym...and I fell asleep on the (6-7 minute) drive there. Once we parked, I said, "I don't wanna go to the gym. I wanna get a donut and a coffee...." So we did! Haha...not only did we NOT go to the gym, but we sabotaged our week's work smiling smiley It was a good "mini date," though....
Thanks Jill. I am fine as long as I do not exert myself (like walking !) outside when the air is either this cold or super-heated. As long as I am inside and breathing warm (not hot), filtered air, or outside without extreme temps, I am fine. Fortunately, this has been, and remains, a steady-state condition, not a slippery slope !

I walked my neighborhood this morning. I did it first thing so I wouldn't change my mind and go to Dunkin Donuts.

They couldn't fix my car yesterday, part not in so back today...had to cancel my Crate and Barrel in the city.
Today (hopefully) will wait for car by window shopping (not buying).

Getting off work a little early today... (It's finals week and I don't have afternoon finals to proctor.)... Picking my parents up at the train station so that they can meet their great granddaughter.... (Plus I get to see my granddaughter again!)

Working up February's budget before finishing yesterday's reports and then heading out into a downpour for today's shops.

Waiting for the awning company to send out their crew to put up a brand new awning on our back deck. This replaces the one that collapsed under the weight of snow/ice in mid-December. The insurance company was more than fair in its settlement with us. So now, hopefully, we will have a new one up by suppertime!
Stay safe!

Today is supposed to be DMV and a nearby phone shop. Instead, I am taking the day off and doing random stuff around the house.

Yesterday it took all day to fix my car, I was exhausted,so today brings light stuff, resting and cooking. Weather beautiful, no storms until next week, sitting on patio reading, getting stuff together for giveaway, etc. No work till tomorrow.

My husband was in the hospital recently and he in wheelchair bound. Because of effects of that, he can not drive. He has been approved for the Para-transit program that sends the special bus to pick him us so he can travel in his wheelchair. It[s a great program if you need it, but the process takes forever. You have to schedule 24 hours in advance and last week it took a total of 4 hours for a 30 minute doctors appointment that is 15 minutes away.
No shops today because he has another doctors appointment and I need to go with him.
Day 2 of Finals Week: I'm watching stressed teenagers sweat over their math tests. It's really boring.

I gave my hubby incalculable here points because he helped with one project. Without him, my back and I would have needed 5 - 10 days to finish the job. With him, the entire thing took less than twenty minutes. Think I need to design and patent a mechanized thingy that would make it possible for other people and their backs to complete large tasks safely and quickly. They could also have free time for other interests.

Good idea? yesyesyesyesyes!/yes/no/oh, hell no!/other

Today I'm waiting for furniture to be delivered. Both items were supposed to be delivered in December. The chest for my bedroom set was backordered. No worries. The dresser for the 2nd bedroom was delivered damaged...twice! Today is the third attempt. They offered me a $50 gift card. I told them to make it a refund because I was never shopping there again. They did!

Today going to SB to visit with friends, then mall, maybe tomorrow I'll either head out to downtown and the food fair or Ventura harbor...water or food, that's the decision. Weather amazing, climbing to 80 yet brisk with no rain in site, just wind. Preparing for another trip to Vegas in March, so the jobs won't be out yet, but, will check. No work till Wed....so far.

Finished a book and am ready to binge-watch a Star Trek series. Hubby likes Star Trek much more than i do, but each series tweaks the theme in some way or ways. If nothing else, it is useful to notice the differences between series. This is a bit like conjugating irregular verbs... hmm...

I am off to church and then I need to wash clothes before it turns super cold tomorrow
I got my plumbing issue fixed, then I open the electric bill. It's close to $300. I didn't change the air filter when I moved in! I did today. I don't think it had ever been changed. I hope that does the trick.
