What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

We have more snow, but this time it's just dust.

Happy Friday! Today is just the usual: work; nap; errands & tasks; work..

We love lentils and barley! We will cook something with them soon.

My printer is on the blink, so I'll go to the library and print out instructions for my Cartier shop next week. Doing a small job. May eat out on my own, maybe Stone Fire, post office and home to do report...I always do reports immediately after, never late, where's my certificate?

Live consciously....
I'm going to a pet parenting class today held at a local shelter.

My last day of "play", going to library to print out some new jobs I have for next week, but after that, SB to visit with weekend friends and maybe the mall for Macy's sale (don't need a thing), one never knows what's out there.
Got an early morning email from a new company (to me) saying "aren't you excited for your Bristol Farms job Tuesday"?, if you need to cancel, just reschedule, and good luck.....later, phone calls to see how my ex is doing, daughter taking over and now has power of Atty....so glad she's smart, will catch up on things. Getting used to my new normal of role reversal.....

Hubby & I are enjoying the weekend with our son, DIL and darling granddaughter, who FINALLY made it down for their Christmas visit!! We are so thrilled to see them! My DIL made a 2019 calendar for us through Shutterfly, using photos of all of us in the different months....it's wonderful and I LOVE IT!! She also knitted/crocheted 6 Christmas tree ornaments for us, which we will use starting next year. They are beautiful! She is very talented. She is also VERY PREGNANT!! About 7 1/2 months. BUT.........she can't take iron by mouth....she has severe GI reactions to it. So, when she saw the OB about 2 weeks ago, she found out her Hemoglobin is just above 9, which makes her quite a bit anemic!!!!!! So she has an appointment to meet with a hematologist this Tuesday to get set up for at least one IV Iron Infusion. Oh me!!! Something else to keep praying about!!! My beautiful DIL!!! She's taking it all in stride.
I was supposed to go to a book club meeting but my shop are late getting go so I will not be back in time to make it
My weekend is too filled with work to qualify for the message in my siggy. Oh, well. I can relax for a few days next week. There are books to read, things to rearrange, and items to donate. All is well.

I added one teeny shop for this weekend. At this rate, I will reach the $600 taxable point in... oh, about three years or so. Seriously, though. I am happier this year because I have very few assignments and almost enough free time for my personal interests.

Half a day of mystery shopping and half a day at my regular job. Add making supper and I'm done.
Yay! Remember the late start time of 2:30 am? Well, today has such a late start time that I slept until 2:30 am! Eventually, we will do the early job. As long as I get to my little mystery shop on time later, all is well. I can relax, have a cuppa, play of the forum, and read a chapter or two of a good book.

Today brings no rain and two groceries (in my town), one a mile from me and the other 2 miles, love when that happens. Will do one report at Panera Bread where I can enjoy all the coffee I need and a yumm bagel.

Taking care of myself so the 24-hour bug I developed yesterday stays that way. Last night I slept 12 hours straight, and today has been lots of sitting around fiddling on the computer and nap time.

Between episodes of Monk, there will be house tasks, a workout, and three errands.

Clean a bathroom, a grocery and dry cleaner trip and then a big clothing donation to the local women's shelter.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.

Hope you get well quickly, KathyG!!

For me, just relaxing at home. Son, DIL & granddaughter will leave later today to drive back home. It's been SO wonderful to have them here!!!
I went to the dotor this morning . Had a A1C done. a other test done. Find out I have infection
Just spent two hours in a coffee shop dining with a gift card from a favorite MSC and not really grading papers. Said MSC contacted me to let me know that today's target called in sick.... So, I get paid anyway and will be able to get paid to try again on at another time.....Perhaps I'll head home to continue working on the nursery we are putting in at my house for my granddaughter....

Returned from my upscale shop at Cartier's, looked at a $13,000 Diamond watch, then settled on a 7,000 watch,
poor me...LOL Home and my crock pot is done, so lunch will be what should be dinner, at the mall while doing job, I notice a store that recycles jeans....next trip will bring my small sizes in and get a coupon to purchase something, and they have cute clothes, so a bonus for me.....the most gorgeous mall, I could live there...... a very good day.

Hubby and I went to a public reading of Dr. ML King Jr's speeches at a downtown cathedral. Anyone could read, so we both took a turn. Before we got there we swung by a local restaurant that was giving free lunches to furloughed federal workers. I was prepared to pay for mine, but they gave us two free ones.

Today was dealing with plumbing problems.

Honny, is your tub still gurgling? I have a great plumber who is reasonable.

wales, it's gone beyond gurgling. The main drain is clogged beyond Instant Power (drain cleaner). Please PM me your plumber's contact info.

Trying to stay warm. All of my shops today require minimal time outdoors. This sort of cold is rough for folks like me with respiratory issues.

Taking the car in, needs some sort of pump...while it's being worked on, will visit Target (across the street), and perhaps Nordstrom rack (across the other street), lots of walking, which is o.k.
Went to get another estimate close to my regular and he tells he called and got two estimates (strappen your seat belts), 1st. was over $900.00, second was 389.00. My guy quoted me 249.00+40 for a related problem, new part. I told the 1st. guy about my recent estimate and he looked sheepish saying, well, I'll see what I can do, and I returned with, no, you just lost a customer and drove off while he was trying to re-negociate.

@HonnyBrown
It sounds silly, but have you taken a plunger to it? I’ve cleared more than a few clogged tubs and sinks with a plunger - the piping is not very different than that of a toilet. You do need to be sure that you don’t have plastic drainpipes, though - which are common in bathroom sinks (bit not common in tubs).

Hmmphing around a bit because it is snowing. Yes, it snows here. Yesterday, it was warm and I put together a cute crossover/early Spring outfit for today. However, I am back to the layers upon layers because it is snowing, the snow is deep, and sometimes I freeze, am cold, or just need another thin layer when I am sitting at my cubicle. I often wonder whether it is possible to insulate the cubicles for sound and temperature, or provide temperature control mechanisms for each cubicle, but that is just.. a little over the top... grinning smiley I should just be grateful because I have this and other jobs, and lots of layers to wear...

This problem was far beyond a plunger. The plumber is here now. He's sweating.
