Today I am going to a doctor apointment which is my case means a blood test. I also this evenning have a club meeting.
It's Monday. I worked in the wee hours at the early job and then came home and worked some more. Now, I want a nap! This will fortify me for more little projects and tasks. Will they ever go completely away forever????? Of course not. I just wish they would. grinning smiley

Starting another week with Hubby furloughed and at home. I told him my plans for the day last night (which did not include him), so I hope he comes up with something for himself to do.

Home to putter, cook and straighten up.

I stopped by the market to get a cabbage for soup. I got some marrow bones to make beef stock and some pork strips. I think I'll make a curry with those. I got the cabbage, but I didn't make the soup. Maybe tomorrow.

I had two shops to do before 7am. I check my email to make sure nothing changed, and found out my eBay account had been hacked. The hacker changed my email address and password. I called eBay to let them know. I asked for the email address that my account was changed to. I reported it to Comcast and they are doing an investigation.

On Honny ! What a mess. Perhaps you also need to change your access code for Paypal or any source that you use to buy on Ebay! Sending soothing vibes your way.

Thanks wales. Thankfully, no transactions were made. I don't have any cards saved. I did change my PayPal password.

I also reported the hacker to the Internet Crimes Division.

Please send snow melting vibes, folks! My car is still in a snow bank. It is hard to shovel when you are leaning on a cane, as I am temporarily doing. One housemate threw her back into spasm trying to help. They other is waiting to see her doc concerning a hip problem. So we are all doddering around. The neighborhood is fresh out of teens who might want to earn by shoveling snow. Lots of toddlers and pre-teens are sledding on the hill across the street.

Phew! Traded online time for task time. I finished a boatload of little projects, made a few pesky decisions, and took a nap in the sun-warmed part of the living room. All is much better in my world. Mind you, I now think that I might be part cat, based up on how pleasant it was to sleep in the filtered rays of the sun... But whatever.

Oh Wales, I'm sorry you are going through this. I've had the weather channel on all day (home sick) and all they are talking about is the new storm system that is going to hit this weekend. Stay safe and warm!

Well, all is well !

A new friend suddenly called and, as promised, was here in the afternoon and freed my car from the snow. I hope to be back in business tomorrow, after the ice that forms on the roads overnight is melted.

Combined my mall shops with mall walking, and got more than 10,000 steps in.

It is almost time to bundle up, hunker down, and do the early job. We are starting "late", at 2:30 a.m. After that, there are a few minutes between caffeine and household repair. Naturally, the repair job is not something that is covered by a mystery shop. (There are branded appliance repair shops available now. We have a different issue) But all is well. I am reading a book that makes it exquisite to have unique, sensitive, and insightful talents and skills. There are history, biography, biology, botany, business, geography, language study, and veterinary science within those pages. In all, I am enjoying a good and satisfying read. Aaaaahhhh......smiling smiley

Today is an easy shopping day-only one post office shop on the way home from the gym. I also have a quick mid-afternoon meeting at church to go over the details of a new monthly volunteer task.

After my breast cancer support group meeting and 2 easy shops, I'll be spending the rest of the day getting the house cleaned up a bit. My son and DIL and beautiful grandbaby are FINALLY, FINALLY coming down for their....CHRISTMAS visit!! Yup, haven't been able to make it till now. 4 weeks ago, my son got sick and was on antibiotics for several days. Then 3 weeks ago, my DIL, who is pregnant, was feeling ill, but not as bad as my son. But, since she's pregnant, they decided it best to stay home. Then 2 weeks ago, my 3 yr old granddaughter ran a fever for several days of up to 104!! When they took her in to get checked, the dr felt it was a viral thing, but said keep an eye on her. Well, the fever broke and she seemed fine. Then....LAST week, they were supposed to come down but two things happened....First, the threat of ice both where I live and where they live....so we were all hesitant about them making the 2 1/2 hr drive. However, that became a moot point when, last Friday, my grandbaby woke up with bumps on her feet and legs!! And then they would disappear and show up somewhere else...hour after hour. Itchy. No fever. Acting normally. I told my son I thought it was a post-fever rash from her fever the week before, but get her checked. So the dr said it looked like some sort of hive but not sure exactly what was causing it. He said give her children's liquid benadryl, which they've been giving her, and prescribed some liquid prednisone, which they opted not to give her. Anyhow, the interesting thing was that my son said when my granddaughter would cry, where the tears touched the skin, the bumps would come out!! So I told him that it sounded definitely like something internal still in her system, and I felt sure that it was a post-fever rash. Well, my DIL's mother has a friend who is a pediatrician, and she said that it sounded like a post-fever rash!! Anyhow, long way around the barn here, all that to say that THIS weekend, they are FINALLY coming down for their Christmas visit....WOO-HOO!! Glad we've got an artificial tree this year, it's still up!!! Waiting for them!!!

I finished the worst of all projects yesterday. Huzzah! With that out of the way, I can consider local assignments. Or not. Considering that I am out of rotation for everything, I can think about something else for awhile. In local news, I am looking over the official and newly published rules for one workplace. So far, so good. Last year, tptb mentioned that this year's trainings would change and be focused. The amount of rules and guidelines that we recently received were just right, imho, to cover a lot of territory without bogging down or overwhelming us. It was like... an opportunity to preview and study just the information for the first three portions of your very first gas station audit. Not so bad, right? You sense that that is easy or least do-able, and soon you will take on the next bit of information. Later, you can pick up some more. Eventually, you add the rest. And the next thing you know, you know everything there is to know about anything that possibly could happen during your very first gas station audit. You breathe deeply, smile at your world. You are free to do your excellent work. You are prepared and you are ready. You can do this! You don't need to visit us in a panic because you think you might need someone to perform the Heimlich maneuver on you to help you cough up the novella that passes for shop/reveal guidelines. What a concept!

So maybe I overthought that...

Rain all week with our college being on lock down due to a couple trees falling on it. Rain for us is a small disaster, but nothing like my East coast friends. Staying home, love to make new soups, today will try a barley/carrot (Dr. oz says barley is healthy), finishing my closet clean out and later have a tablet job with Sprint,
who I said I'd never do again after they did a hard credit check which turned out to be a mess, today will watch carefully.

It is so nice (weather wise) here in Northern Colorado that I am concerned about fires in the summer from lack of moisture this winter. A few days have been COLD, but no moisture. And not "cold enough" to scrape car windows in the mornings. I even took the kids to the park yesterday!

I'm sorry, Wales, for your weather. Hope you and your housemate have a better time of trying to dig out of the snow. See if there is a Build a Generation or Full Circle type of organization where you live. I've worked for both of those organizations locally, and they have teens who help around town. Also, around here, prisoners who are out on work release (and supervised) will do things like shovel for residents who are unable as part of their work release. You just have to get in touch with the probation office to ask them to put you on a list

Two of my kids are 17 and 13 year old boys. I homeschool, so on the days it snows a lot, they get outside with shovels and go door to door trying to make a few bucks for spending money. (My kids' allowances are minimal)
Oh, Irene! I have a box of barley! I am going to add that to my cabbage soup the next time I make it!

honny, put in lots of carrots and I blend it for thickness, very good, cooked in broth and it spreads so not more than a cup or less.
