What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Honny, so glad for you! Starting over isn't easy, but you'll do it! And congrats on your final grade, too!!

Yes!! WOO-HOO! Both breast cancer antigen tests came back within normal limits! It's not fool-proof--as you CAN get either false positives or false negatives with these. But at least by having them consistently every 6 months for the past 4 years, that's a pretty good indication that, at least as far as breast cancer goes, there's nothing going on in my body with that. So I'm grateful!
guysmom, congratulations! The results are accurate; I'm claiming that for you.

Today I'll be staying home as it is pouring out...I'm studying for these 6 jobs in Vegas and preparing myself as I leave Tuesday at 5:00 AM to do the Marriott's brunch type breakfast which is across from the airport.
Jobs for this trip are plentiful right now before the holidays......smiling smiley Wish there is a shopper that will be in Vegas
next Tuesday thru Thursday...PM me. I have a nice lunch/dinner to share.

Live consciously....
Irene, I lost my furniture, artwork, wardrobe, cookware, household items...everything that made my house a home...everything I worked for. How do I recover from that?

Went to Von's Friday sale (not a shop), I like them. Home to study a bit for my huge Vegas work trip...so many jobs, so little time, and believe me, I will eat well, got an amazing restaurant, a friend ate at the one near here and loved it. Glad I'm able to do it alone, need this work getaway.....home the rest of the day.

Guysmom - fantastic!!! So happy for you.

Honny - that is a huge loss. I hope you can find replacements that will make you happy and start making some beautiful memories in your new abode.

Raining here too. I decided to go with an older artificial tree that is still in good shape and save some money. This looks like a good day to work on it.

Honny, I hope for good things for you this coming year! You seem like a strong person, so I hope you will be able to rebuild from all you have lost. Don't give up!

I have gotten a good bit of Christmas shopping done today, especially for those whose gifts will need to be shipped. Also, got all my grocery shopping done and hubby & I have been prepping for a SNOW STORM coming our way this weekend! The part of SC where we live is in the northern part, so we could get anywhere from 4-10"!! And believe me, ANY snow in SC is a major event!! So 4-10" will keep everything shut down for nearly a week! We've got gas logs in case our power goes out, so that's OK. And if we get enough snow, we can always bury our refrigerated food in the snow for a few days!!
Today was moving. It was exhausting, but fruitful! I think I will be fully transitioned tomorrow. I need to pick up equipment from the cable company. Squeeze in two shops. There's something else that's mission critical, but I can't think of it. I've been going non-stop since 6am.

Today I ran up north with friends to a great couple of breweries for special release beer, and then we went to a great Pho restaurant. Great but tiring day (over 4 hours car time)

Orlando - lightly shopping NC
My daughter needed a "party dress" for the kids' ballet recital that is this coming week. I've been putting it off for a while. Finally went out to shop at a few stores (with 7 kids in tow...lol, but most are older-17, 16, 15, 13, 7, 5, 4) to find her a party dress. She's 16. It was so bittersweet to see her looking stunning in party dresses! She settled on one that is black with silver sequins above the knee with thick straps/sleeves. It flows well and is shiny, so will look great onstage.

After that, I took all those kids to McDonalds....geez. Almost $50. But the employees forgot one happy meal and so because I had to go up and ask for it, they gave me 2 cards for free meals....

Then I had to go grocery shopping. The "deals" at the store didn't come out on my receipt. Supposed to get 4lb of sugar for 99cents and Italian dressing...buy 5, get 'em for .99...grrr Too many kids with me to go to the customer service place to ask about it, so I just came home. Been cooking and stuff is in the oven now.
One garage shop on my way to Northern VA to meet a shopper buddy and a favorite scheduler of us both for lunch. Then checking into a hotel overnight shop in NVA. (without buddy or scheduler!)

Going over my work for Vegas tomorrow, packing, organizing for trip...have to get up at 5:00 AM tomorrow, on the road again, so much fun until the work starts. I usually win on the slots at the Vegas airport, so looking forward to my win and pocketing that money...smiling smiley

I took today off from work. Moving was more exhausting than I thought!

honny, if it makes you feel better, or gives you a laugh, this is my third life...not only started over, did it twice...
three's a charm, 2 more for you and yes, it gets easier.

We have tomorrow off. I'm going to be organizing my house before the furniture gets here on Saturday. I have a shop at a new restaurant.

Without going into detail, because of my ex-husband, I lost everything that I owned in 2016. I have to rebuild from scratch. Remember your first apartment? Rebuilding like that.

This can be so much fun. There will be oodles of sales, followed by ever-changing new things to see and think about and the next thing you know, it will be a new fashion season and there will be more sales and more new stuff... and endless new fashion season and never-ending stuff... and you will have an opportunity to find things that correspond to who you are now and what you are doing now that you did not do then. As I recall, you are now rockin' it in grad school.

I'm taking this term off to get settled. Things will be a lot smoother once my furniture gets here and I'm not living out of boxes.
