What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Such a fun snow day yesterday! It was nice to see my little one and everyone be delighted by the snow.

Today's snow fun will be attempting to clear the snow and ice off the driveway so Hubby doesn't fall, after his procedure yesterday.
I'd like to go to the dump but our roads were frightenly icy yesterday after that freezing rain. So lucky, I had Hubby's helpful suggestions to navigate the situation. (Eye roll emoji) LOL
Luckily, the highways most of the way home were good.
Well, the storm didn't live up to its predictions! My area only got about an inch of snow instead of the 4" that was predicted for my area. We did get about 0.1" ice, but that's melting off now. My hubby said if we got all prepared with our generator and stuff, that we probably wouldn't get what they predicted. He was right!

@shopper797; What a delight! Just wait until he or she will be doing the happy snow dance in hope of a snow day, LOL.

Snow was beautiful but what a big PITA. Happy I was able to choose not to go out today. Everyone else did but my Mom and I. We started making beautiful raffia and fabric stuffed hearts. Did an all day laundry marathon as well.
Madetoshop, if you don't mind me asking, how often are you permitted to WFH?

I had my annual performance review at work. It went well!
Pre K in am when I was expecting to be off. Tough morning. I could not do that job.

Various classes in pm. Members of local hockey team came to play floor hockey in Gym with the students.

Then attempted to go skating on a small lake. Nope, not when it's +5°C
No gliding at all and full of ruts. Fell and then put my foot through the ice. lol

Errands and couch potato after that.

I call it myself as well as others. I don't take advantage ever. It's not often as my sector requires team collaboration with lots of client contact. At times, when the managing partner needs to be involved, he will call it and we Zoom and MS teams with him all day long. He's at home and so are we, LOL

Wonderful regarding your performance review. Keep at it!

DH brought home an expected furry baby love a few days after Christmas. He is so cute but precocious. We do not leave him alone which is challenging and expensive.. He went for his 2nd round of shots this evening. Furry baby love Sr. Is an angel but gets annoyed at baby boy when he wants to play with him. TY for reading my sappy post LOL.

Subbed all over the school today. I'm just exhausted.
Glad tomorrow is drive Hubby to an appointment in the city.
Madetoshop, I wish I had your discipline. MS Teams?! I feel bad for you. Just kidding.

I only asked because I'm curious how other companies/industries/markets are mandating stricter in-office requirements with COVID sort of being out of the picture. (I don't mean anything political by this, at all!)

Our workplace had a lenient, but recently emphasized in-office requirement. I now personally prefer the hybrid approach, being caught in the middle of all sorts of dynamics.
I'm getting ready to go to a birthday party today, for my nephew. My whole family will be there, so expect a raucous lol...we are each/all? so different, somehow we coexist,....much better since we kicked out the riffraff lol.
Everybody's bringing something, so I am getting ready to fix a few things to bring.
Since my sister invited me to spend the night, I suspect there will some drinks later on lol....love not having to drive after a fiesta.
Tomorrow, I have 4 shops to do, then headed home to burrow in for the big arctic blast.
Stay warm everybody that needs to stay warm.
I'm burrowed in for the big Arctic blast. Maybe I will get some house work done. Will have to bundle up to do some shoveling. 5 more weeks before Hubby can help.
I'll open the door to see if Sir Hiss a Lot (Stray cat) will come in, but I can't prop it open and leave the area today. That's the only way he creeps in to eat.
There's no way to get past him and close the door once he's in.
He won't even stay in the cat house when we step outside. As soon as we touch the door handle he shoots out.

It seems he (she) knows how not to be trapped.

Poor thing, the moment we get to the door it's hissing at us. It backs away until we put food in the dish, then starts meowing piteously.
Won't approach the dish until we get back in the house.

Bitter cold here but haven't seen it today. Hopefully found its way into neighbour's barn.
4 day weekend. So no school. I subbed for 4 out of 5 days last week. The ladies in my neighborhood wanted to welcome me into their group so we all went to Pinstripes on Friday evening. We all made fun of our husbands and in-laws!
Sir Hiss a Lot did appear yesterday and today afternoon.
Won't come in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reading by the fire for most of the day. Storing up energy to sub 4 days this week. I am too old! 2 days in a week is enough for me. LOL
Staying warm. It is actually a bit warmer, but windier. I should have done my shoveling yesterday.
Certainly bright and sunny when it's this cold.
Do house work and get organized for working 4 days in a row. How did I let this happen?!

Did a few phone shops this morning. Then had to get out of the house after being cooped up for a few days due to this cold ! Went to Ross and now treating myself to lunch at Old Chicago - they have a nice lunch special for $10.99.

Worst day weather-wise. -23 C. Luckily, our district always has a day off after MLK Day. Other districts also are closed today because of inclement weather.
Staying inside and prepping for the week ahead.

Getting ready to enjoy another work day from home! (snow days) I have been able to get a lot done. With my daughter here having to do her work, it keeps us very busy! I am finally getting to relax at night with a good Lifetime movie and reading the posts here on the forum!
No Snow Day here, though some buses didn't run.
Roads are finally better after work today.
Two out of 4 days subbing done. I really don't want to work 4 days in a row any more!
Some snow removal when I got home. Not keeping up!
Now couch and small glass of wine after three days done. Grade one today and a different grade one tomorrow.
Roads were finally better this morning, but blowing snow sticking and icing up the roads for the way home.
I miss the days when winter just came and stayed. Roads were better.
I get to sleep in tomorrow. I don't have to be at work until 330am.

That is inhumane!
