What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Interesting about others' families. For me, not so much. One side of the family might have been momentarily significant centuries ago and in another land. But I do not care about this lineage, pedigree, and other stuff. All these years later, we are mutts. I like us! *wags tail and slobbers*

@prince 7:20. We got up super early today and the bus was on time. She had to carry two backpacks because they wouldn't take school supplies on Walk Your Schedule Day.
Had a root canal this morning....they got me six ways to Sunday....ugh.
Afterward, I decided I needed a lift, so I went to my favorite Cheers-type bar.
The owner is amazing and always there and so friendly.
The staff is great and the patrons are the best....
still woozy from all the meds, so I just had lunch and chatted. I really should write a short story about this place...all the characters are there.
So my two neighbors chewed my ear off when I arrived home today. The first day of school this past Tuesday. It's a first for them. I miss those days!
@prince. We have three tiers in the district. 7:20 to 2:10, 8:20 to 3:10, and 9:20 to 4:10. We have always been in the 8:10 slot but now for the first time, we fall in the first tier.
Planning on sleeping early tonight and rising early tomorrow to walk a nearby trail. Temperature is expected to drop to 60s. Hoping for the occasional breeze near the water.
"Oh, dear!" shop mutters most Marpleishly. Have a real-life conundrum (no, not a murder for Miss Marple!) and Miss Jane Marple's skills could lead to the solution. Hmm...

I have dreaded cleaning tomorrow. Window ledge corners, all of them have bits of caked up pollen. I see someone has spilled some container of iced coffee in the refrigerator. Food to be removed and shelves washed down outside. Hoping to get help with the shelves and I will be happy.

Pet spa? I remember seeing shops for the longest time on that.
Football day! One of my teams rocked it last week. This might be the week for my other team to have a fresh start and play well.

My bedroom TV (LG) kept losing the internet signal. After 2 hours of troubleshooting, I gave up and swapped it with a Samsung from another room. I did not have the right batteries in the house for the remote. My LG got the hint because it is working fine now.

I just finished picking green beans and tomatoes.

@Shop-et-al Which football teams?

One that is rebuilding and learning and one that just continues to improve.

I have never seen pet spa shops. I do receive shop emails for doggy day care.

Ah you're correct, it was for pet daycare. I was mistaken.
A little cleaning, a lot of a hybrid workout, and a smidgen of reading. Current book is best in tiny, savored bites.

Went for a long walk, such nice weather now. Ran errands during football game. Roads and stores were close to empty, sooo nice and peaceful!
Still busy with an inventory reset. Went to storage to pick up what inventory i had there, and discovered there is more than i realized. I couldnt bring it all back. I spent time going through 7 boxes, made a box for trash, a box for donate, 2 tote bins to list, and a box of possible flea market sales if my niece goes to sell in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, that will be donated stuff.

went apple picking, stopped by a local favorite pizza place for lunch, visited a farm open to the public with fresh produce, bought some lol....then went to visit their calf pens....sweet little baby cows.
On the way home, stopped by a local casino to play a hand of black jack and watch the Bills/Cardinals game on their huge, huge, huge screen.

I've been seeing some movie theaters televise the games.
Worked my butt off but t'was a beautiful day. Ran home. My dinner potatoes were already prepped and that made for a great head start. Went to CVS. Presidential debate was entertaining and got me angry several times.
Forgot the debate. Was immersed in The Bletchley Circle. This show was probably better...

I stay on a funky schedule so at 5am Wednesday, I am ending my Tuesday. Lol

I took my sister to her pulmonary rehab class. Afterward, she wanted to go into the Salvation Amry thrift store. My sister has not been inside a store since before last Christmas. My BIL got her a wheelchair that has pockets on the back to hold oxygen tanks. This was her first time using it. She wanted to oush herself. I about cried watching her. I wish I had taken a video. I was so amazed to see her have the energy after her 90 minute class to be able do push herself around the store for nearly an hour. She has improved since stsrting rehab in mid-July, and I pray she gets stronger.

After I got back to town I went by storage and got some more boxes to sort through. I came.hime to find mom was in the middle of making a pound cake. She has not made a cake in a year. She was going to do it last week for a special occasion, but did not make it. I assumed like a lot of things at her age that making a cake sounded good, but actually doing it was a different story.

I started sorting through some of the boxes, then took a break to eat dinner and watch the debate. I finished up the boxes afterward and am about to catch a nap. I can sleep til about 1pm today.
