What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

'They' say that a certain innocence of childhood has been disappearing for years. I say, how tragic. But fear not. As an oldie but goodie, I find life is usually fun, and I love pockets of decency that I find from time to time.

Heading out to clean the snow off my car - first sunshine in days! Coming back to pack and get ready for 2 day trip - a fun trip with my sister and little nieces who are on school vacation this week. One of them is my red haired doppelganger.
Oh those grade 6 kids can be a handful. And they can be so rude. The 2 schools I go to the most, one only goes up to grade 4 and one goes up to grade 5. I don't have my name on the list for the middle schools.
The small towns have schools that are K to 12. And the Hutterite Colonies have all ages. But only a couple in each age group.

So, I do end up in middle grades sometimes.
I've found I'd rather be in grade 12 Physics than the middle grades lol. I can't actually teach it, but those students want to take physics and they use their time well. I can help find things in the text when they're stuck and they help each other.

Yesterday, I mentioned decency. Today, I experienced so much of it that I cried! Then, I decided to start a decency thread.

I picked up a wine fridge via Freecycle over the summer. I finally moved it into its forever space. Now I have to fill it!

Back to June's Journey. Making peace with Happy Hodge Podge, the messy but happy space formally known as Orchard Island. My visits to other but fake islands (I am not in a group and do not have real game peeps) taught me that careful planning and meticulous installation yield a proper-on-the-surface estate. I added based solely upon flower value and am in chapter 14 despite paying no real money. But my islanders are happy. It is wise not to ask about every herb in the herbal harvests and about the isolated, small vineyards. All we know is that the mole sauce party is a kaleidoscope of ever changing colors and flavor profiles because someone obtained a huge grant to study locally produced ingredients. This ain't your abuela's mole...

Working all week from home and loving it. I am baking a chocolate chip cake from scratch and will scarf down my chicken, tomato, spinach, cheese sandwich and water momentarily. All caught up with laundry and housework. I cannot wait for Daylight Savings Time on March 10th!
I didn't take a sub job today so I took 3 Mattress Firm shops while I did Costco and Whole Foods. People are coming to look at our condo almost everyday so we plan our trips around that time. Made dinner and carrot pudding, my daughter's favorite.
Sick still today. Managed to keep busy around the house until a few minutes ago. Laying down now.
Hope you feel better, prince. Realized that my islanders' only decency might be in hiring people. The jobs are iffy. Hmm. Perhaps we could get some undercover agents to sort it... But seriously. Need to return to house tasks tomorrow and pull myself away from this game for awhile-- just when there is one day plus five hours to complete the last five of twenty seven scenes in the Elmas secrets challenge...

Let's play Name That Magazine. From the front cover: "It is 2024 and You Will Therefore Be Going Pantsless."

*eta*
Doesn't anyone remember printed magazines?! This is Cosmopolitan's way of teaching us how to 'trend responsibly in our sheer-ish tights. To me, this looks like someone forgot to put on pants over their pantyhose instead of willfully being pantsless. *sigh*

I bought some window blinds for my living room a few years ago. I finally intalled. They look nice!

WOW! How wonderful. We will be taking a 3 day side trip to LV while on the West Coast for a family celebration next month!

@prince I subbed straight 12 half days. Today, I rest. Husband coming home from Virginia after a business trip. He went on Valentine's Day and coming back tonight. He got an award from the CEO yesterday which means 4 nights in Vegas with family, all paid for.
Our condo is up for sale on Zillow. We have 3 people lined up for tomorrow afternoon and that is the time we will do our groceries.
Happy Friday everyone! I am prepping lemon butter baked cod, brown rice, asparagus and Brussels Sprouts for tonight's dinner. Planning for our getaway next month.
Finished house tasks and rough-sketched my vision for "my" island as it might be seven or eight expansions from now. There wasn't much left to sort at home, so I grouped like items more or less together and placed doodads according to the contours of the visible part of the island. This game has become an obsession!

I treated myself to Red Lobster (not a shop) today. Martini, lobster pasta and popcorn shrimp. I did laundry and half of my socks are missing. I blame the cat.

This Sunday, I am not doing anything but enjoying my family and eating. Thankful for the simple pleasures in life. Maybe TMI or something that will start controversy but I did purchase tickets to see Ru Paul's Drag Race. Party of 4. We are so excited. DH will not be attending, LOL. Furry baby love wanted to play today and scratched my arm up with his dew claws.
Wonderful day for lessons, music, and reading.

I have a focus group starting in an hour so I didn't take a sub job today. I will get $70 if I am one of the first 50 to login. Then, an additional $50 if selected for the second part and a sweepstakes entry for $50 for two participants. So, here's hoping.

Editing for updates: Got to part 1, so I get the 70 bucks. I was selected for Part 2 and then after 5 minutes when they were narrowing down, they dismissed mesad smiley Now, for the sweepstakes tommorow..we'll see!

Gotta' get a life... Lost in June's Journey... Wondering why now, after Stella seems guilty, we are getting more of the Amelia story... Was it only about gambling, or could there also be something about forgery... Yeah... Gotta' get a life...

Your patience will be rewarded. (If you have any.)

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
So the question of the days is, do HSP's need a unique lifestyle? For this one, the answer is a resounding yes.
