What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Wales, I can attest: wine is not the trick!

I am at home today, so I will tackle it in increments.

Honny, my kitchen is a disaster area and I have no cat to chill with while I ignore that for a few more hours. Do you suppose that just wine would do the trick?

Hubby has his first physical therapy session this afternoon. My plan was to swing by Chipotle while he was there, pick up dinner, and use my free chips and guac coupon. However, once again they are out of guac. How can you call yourself a Mexican restaurant and not have guacamole?!?

Trying to put together the final grocery list for Christmas, but know I will forget something. Water Zumba class at the Y. Tonight, celebrating the solstice with a candlelight dinner.

Hubby continues making awesome progress from his stroke. He only uses his walker at night now, to go to the bathroom. His speech and walking balance are about 98% resolved. Yesterday I figured it was time for him to see how he could do driving, so we took a short, 6 mile round-trip drive on the back roads, and he did fine. He did tell me, though, that his brain told him that distance was far enough. So when we got back, he got his lightweight, battery-powered leaf blower to blow leaves off the front and back porches. I asked him if his brain told him he could do that, and he said yes, hahaha! Then when he came in about 12 minutes later, he said his brain told him to stop, so he did! But he is doing so great!
Great news @guysmom.

I am wrapping Hubby's Fitbit while he is at hockey. He wore mine today to try it out. He's planning to go buy one after hockey. I hope he doesn't - lol

Then, the doctor.

Today I'm prepping the intro music and learning some songs for an upcoming gig.

After not playing any live music in 2023, it looks like 2024 will be much better!

I'll be on keyboards with Master Kennedy on January 18 for Reggae Night at the Hog Wallow Pub in the SLC area.

Ooohhhh! My hubby has done stuff like that...more than once! He'll say at Christmastime, "Oh, I think I need a new pair of jeans"........... and then he goes and get them himself! Or..."I'd like that book for Christmas"....and then goes and buys it!! I've told him please stop doing that!!! So I feel for ya!! I hope he doesn't buy the Fitbit so you can surprise him with it!
My daughter has been sick for a week. She just went to school today and her teacher emailed she still feels miserable. There is no fever but I guess it's the exhaustion. The awful ice cream that they give every other Thursday for a buck caused all this. She begged and begged until I had to give her the money every month and of course, she fell sick after eating it. Who eats ice cream in winter? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hubby eats ice cream in winter LOL

Luckily Hubby didn't buy a Fitbit. However, he is frustrated trying to use mine. Now he doesn't want one. (Head smack emoji) lol
Trader Joe's where we purchased Harry&David pears, 2 huge beautiful Christmas floral bouquets, 3 Poinsettia plants, tofu, pappardelle pasta, Brussels sprouts, etc. The store was crazy packed.
Recovering from a nasty intestinal virus that started Friday night. I've progressed to eating canned chicken and rice soup, and REALLY hope issue is resolved by tomorrow.

24/7 gorgeous Christmas and seasonal music..... 200 french horns...... a partridge in a pear tree. I mean, my little being is utterly overjoyed and overflowing in my musical happy place...

@Shop-et-al I wish everyone could keep that little being inside them no matter how tough life gets. Merry Christmas!
@Mum: I am innately a big silly. This might make me especially able to appreciate and enjoy rather than being engulfed by life's inevitable challenges. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all who observe and a good Monday to all.

Unfortunately, after one conventional meal the virus that I though was gone came back with a vengeance. If I don't lose a couple of pounds from pecking at my food life isn't fair.

Looked at weather report. Rescheduled all errands until later in the week. It will be warm then. Well, a shade under forty degrees feels warm to me now.

I was better enough that I had real food for dinner. That seems to have been a mistake :-(

What did I do today. OMG nothing. Less than nothing. And so much I should have been doing.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hopefully, I can stir out of my lethargy and get things ready for a short trip tomorrow.
Fifty thousand steps in two days was a good achievement for me. Today, a more moderate twelve or thirteen thousand steps will be good along with errands..

Got a run in with a friend this morning. Going to meet my two oldest daughters for a cocktail in a bit.
Standing Friday morning meeting and errands. In the afternoon I drove Hubby and his knee scooter to the mall so he could get out of the house. We made one lap of one level and he said he was ready to go home. Good thing the mall is less than a mile from our place!

Tonight Hubby will watch Mizzou (the University of Missouri) football team play in the Cotton Bowl. I will red and give the game half of my attention.

@prince: that was my little huzzah and celebration of being ambulatory again.
