What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I got a text this morning that cancelled my dinner-cooking plans at the church, so now I have the entire day free. After my scheduled Body Pump class at the gym Hubby and I walked the neighborhood around the Y, getting a good start on the daily steps. Now I have to figure out what the rest of the day holds. What a pleasant problem to have!

Walk, leg care, read.

Went with Hubby to a presentation at the History Museum about automobiles in St. Louis. I learned a lot.

@prince...yup aim low or you'll wake up with a headache if you are anything like me!
I learned a neat trick on Youtube. After cleaning off your stainless steel appliances, rub off a little Vaseline and buff with a rag/cloth. It worked. Less water stains or any kind of smudges.
Using up free food. The produce should be used immediately. One recipe today and one tomorrow, when I will have one necessary purchased ingredient. Today's soup smells wonderful, and I will taste it soon. Tomorrow's soup should be the bomb!

Physical therapy; open 2 bank accounts (not for MS) Water the small front flower garden. We are having a drought.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
@Mum, I'll have to try that. I learned from my aunt to use car wax on the faucets.
Started a new book and was immersed in it for awhile. I told myself this was okay because I had exceeded my walking goal for the day.

Try to finish a book to declutter.
Weed the garden. Smokey here today. Can just see sun as a red circle. But it doesn't smell smokey and doesn't bother me, so maybe a bike ride later.
Trip to the gym and then a walk around the area around the gym. A meeting after dinner. In between, cooking and cleaning...two tasks that never go away.

Unexpectedly, quite busy. Tired after leg appointment and errands that were added to the unexpected little road trip. Was pleased to visit one fave store's new location and find out that another fave store is just relocating within the town rather than shutting down or leaving.

I missed Spin last night. I went to the 545am class today. After, I picked up kibble for kitty.

I'll be visiting a piano retailer on behalf of a manufacturer for a regionalprogram that is just starting back up after having shut down due to COVID. Quarterly as opposed to monthly visits, so not going to be as lucrative, but it's been great being back in the music stores (my industry since I was a teenager).

Luckily a slew of gas station shops went to a later date window so I was able to turn this visit into an overnight loop.

Tonight I'll be visiting a new brewery that I discovered my last time out that way doing a gas station loop. Hopefully they will have received their labels so they can sell their full-strength cans of beer (it's a Utah thing).

Tomorrow morning is a Texas BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere that I also discovered last trip. They were packing up for a 4th of July event, and the restaurant wasn't open when I went for breakfast. Looking forward to talking Texas Q with the owner before I hit the road for home (with more gas stations shops on the way, naturally).

Have synthesizers, will travel...
The combination of car issues and a general feeling of 'blah' means I'll be Zooming my Friday morning meeting instead of attending in person. This afternoon I am starting the research process for a new laptop.

Yesterday, I took my daughter to the community pool for the first time. I even put on my swim suit which I haven't done in years. (weight /body issues) I was thinking that I had to do it for my little one, so I did. We had fun!
Today is a surprise day off from working the Kindergarten Camp. It's been a busy week, so I am happy to be off. Just finished walking Feona at the the park this morning. The rest of the day is organizing around the house and a nap.
Shredding. Still. ! But nearing the end of that unprintable project. Finishing the book I started a few days ago. Ecstatic because we can reduce use of food pantry by half this month. I love that it exists, but even more I love to choose my groceries according to some sort of plan: loss leaders, freezable, long shelf life, seasonality, etc.

Glad things are looking up @Shop-et-al.
I am going to weed the garden. Very Smokey here today. Such a tragedy for so many.

I thought I was going to be half dead by noon. I was energized the entire day. I don't know if 545am will be my new class, but it's definitely an option.

I was approved by another neighboring district to be a Substitute Teacher. That means more options for substituting and preferably more half days that I want. Off to Michigan on Monday and looking forward to the cruise. Did a bunch of Kia shops and surprisingly they pay earlier than the 20th.
I took my car in for an oil change, found out my tires should be replaced, and made an appointment for the service next week. Since then I've driven my car less. This morning I borrowed Hubby's car for my trip to the gym and discovered one of HIS tires was flat! (I guess with our bad luck we shouldn't think about buying a lottery ticket.)

So instead of indoor cycling I did an outdoor walk. Hubby is in the process of having tire repaired or replaced. I

Shredding. Will finish the last of the thirty lawn/leaf bags of shred-able stuff today. Then, there will be four large bins of it and some that I will find when I sort the last three boxes and four bins of miscellanea. And THAT is the end until Winter, freezing weather, and winnowing books. Phew. Can hardly wait until that sweet day when I no longer must plan around a shredder that needs more rest breaks than I do. Meanwhile, yet another book is calling me. "Read me. Read me now!"

Spin, urgent care, 5Guys for lunch and dinner. Errands here and there and a Look.

Laundry, read, and research products to find the protein powder that gives me the most protein, BCAA's and pre/pro/postbiotics for the money. Can I get all in one, or will I need separate products? They assure me that more protein will hasten the healing process; I presume that it also will prevent recurrence of the issue.

I have a bubble on my neck below my chin. I went to urgent care to find out what it was. Still waiting for the appointment to get the lab work done.
