What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Some people might drop off food at the post office. I did that once or twice when I had food to spare and share. I want to be on the giving side of the equation again.

Meanwhile, the good news of the day is that my oxygenation saturation numbers are consistently back in the high nineties. At my next medical appointment, if these numbers are still good day and night, I will ask if it is time to return the borrowed oxygen unit. I hope it will be so.

Happy Mothers' Day to all who observe in.any way. I remember and try to honor my late Mom and wish that I could do something fabulous for my mother-in-law who lives hours away from me.

My sis reminded me that we can remember and honor our grandmothers. And, what about all the other nurturers who helped when family moms could not? Did they not mother us? Mom told me that after her mom died women at church became her many mothers. She lost one mother and gained multiple mothers.

Today was supposed to be busy: food bank volunteer at 630am, volunteer at the town fair (cancelled due to rain), food bank rescheduled due to change in bestie's schedule, Goodwill Meetup, lunch.

Goodwill Meetup: the store is opened an hour early for our group. I got a designer purse, tops and artwork. We get 50% off of our purchases.

Picking up some 'Buy Nothing" plants and a grass seed/fertilizer spreader from some neighbors. Going to costco for gas and cleaning out the old house so I can get it rented.
Making great progress with the walk-in closet. Gathered the first batch of donations. As the Unity devotional teaches, I bless everything with love and release it all. You all might chortle, "Purge!!!!!" grinning smiley There is still so much to sort, but I prefer to look at the accomplishment. Meanwhile, my back is scolding me and demanding cuppa, a good read, and at least a one hour break from the last closet tasks for the day. I am happy to oblige...

I did 3 Looks, picked up a wine fridge via Freecycle and went to Aldi. I did my weekly grocery shopping and picked up a new to her food for Pepper. She seems to like it. I put the kibble in Tupperware after I saw her licking the bag. I have to call my handyman to bring the wine fridge upstairs.

Mowing the lawn is taking all day. LOL
Do a section, take a break.
Much easier when Hubby does the riding mower part. He doesn't leave as much for the push mower as I left.
Almost done.

Can't log into the substitute teachers job board. I'm worried I haven't got everything noted on my calendar. Hope that gets fixed before morning.

Plus, I can't agree to work until I sort this out!

Errands. It is sunny and just warm enough to please me. Eager to bless and release more stuff.

s-e-a,
I am inspired by your example and am busy preparing a whole bunch of stuff to bless and release. My blessing will simply be, "Go now in peace." If anyone near DC wants some pristine folding shoji screens, PM me!!!

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Housework today. I can't clean this house in a day.
I need to get rid of stuff, but finding those decisions difficult.
Anyway, back to work.
Anyone consume Cafe Bustelo coffee? Co-workers tell me it's strong and delicious and inexpensive. I have read online reviews and apparently it contains a lot more caffeine than your everyday coffee.
I used Instacart today. I am loving it. Still recuperating from Mother's Day and a house full of Mothers. Not looking forward to the prep and commutation to work for the next 3 days. I will start the laundry marathon tonight and hopefully will be finished by Friday or at least by Saturday morning.
It was my first time mowing the whole thing with the riding mower. LOL

Listening to Schubert Lieder. In other words, in my musical happy place. Simultaneously, in my happy productivity place. More stuff is ready to go-- more than I thought possible for one short workday. There was a power outage and I did not venture into unlit places for awhile.

Hot town, summer in the city. Enjoyed work and city life. Loving Jeopardy Masters. Laundry continues.
Weeks ago we started the search for a new dishwasher. Life happened, and the project got put on hold. Today we're going to resurrect it. Starting at the Best Buy discount center. If they don't have what we need there, will cross the street and look at Lowes and/or Home Depot.

Tonight we will be going to the Botanical Garden to see the Chihuly glass exhibit, which they light up when it gets dark. Originally the tickets were for Sunday, but the garden closed because of weather.

Errands. Hubby complained to landlord that someone has flicked several cigarette butts on lawn and a lit cigarette on our patio. Hope they can figure out who did this and deal with it appropriately. I do not want to be pelted with a lit cigarette or stanky butt. I want to enjoy patio time in peace and safety. Not to mention that the dry wood and lit cigarette could be a volatile combination...

Had my 6 week follow-up with the dermatologist. The area on my outer eyelid where he removed that cyst looks fantabulous!!! He "zapped" me with some more liquid nitrogen on several spots on my face again with that giant q-tip swab!! They had lightened up some when he did it 6 weeks ago, but he said this would help lighten them up more. He said they're age spots, and need to be gone so they don't turn pre-cancerous. So I'll have a "scabby" face for a few days again! Concealer and make-up, here we come! See him again in 6 months.
Mentally beat until I came home to my family. Long day. Arrived at the office at 6:00AM but home by 4. Furry baby is so happy when his ladies are all home. Costco run with all my ladies, laundry and a yummy, but shortcut dinner. Watched Extreme Cheapskates on TLC. Too unbelievable. We all had many laughs. A great day all in all.
*whispers* huzzah. i feel equally good because of the sheer volume of stuff that is going away, good because back and legs still work despite all that work, and good because ideas are percolating now regarding when i might be able to return to some sort of paid work.

I hope things continue to look up for you @Shop-et-al.

I have only been able to get rid of a couple items. You're doing great

Grade 3 today. Nice day.
Much more stuff. So pooped. But at this point I am only ten minutes away from completing the 75% of the closet that had to be done now. The rest of the projects can wait until those wintry days when it will seem downright jolly to toil in a closet (with Christmas music to delight me) instead of braving the cold and the blizzards. Finished another good book and love the current one. It grabbed my attention immediately and if it continues in this snappy vein, I will enjoy a quick read. Ohm... Ten minutes tomorrow... Ohm... Just ten more minutes tomorrow..

My little cat went outside and hasn't come back. It's raining out. She knows where she lives, but I am worried that one of my neighbors' took her in for shelter.

I have an Echo device that I am having trouble returning to Amazon. I contacted them today to make arrangements to return it via a Hub. They ended up issuing the refund and telling me to keep it. I'll put it on Freecycle.

It's a good coffee! I drank it before I used k-cups.

The escape artist has returned. She was in the garage. I don't know how she gets in there from the deck.

Mow the lawn. But this week Hubby will do the riding mower part, so there will be much less to do with the walk behind mower. (I couldn't do the ditch with the riding mower last week so that added at least an hour to the mowing)
