Trip to Ikea to select new dining room chairs and a chair for my bedroom, plus a few odds and ends from other departments. Making slow cooker hot and sour soup for the first time.

My dad had his knee surgery today. He had been delaying it for such a long time. I am glad he finally got it done. Mum, and my sisters have been convincing him forever.
Bleak and rainy here. Woke up with a bad headache. Got all the cooking and cleaning done. Time for a movie. Watching Delusional on Amazon Prime.

Grade5/kindergarten today. They forgot to schedule me a break. Man my back and legs hurt.

Trip to the gym/walking outside in the morning. Working at church in afternoon-cooked dinner for tonight and prepped some items for Wednesday's lunch. When I got home I remembered that if I wanted lunch tomorrow I had to bake muffins and tofu. UGH!

Grade 3 this morning. I felt bad, but refused to sub for another teacher this pm as I was meeting someone for lunch.
Lunch out and then checked out a skating path. Not as long as I hoped, but first time in my life skating on a slope! That was interesting.

I had a yummy chicken recipe in my head when I was leaving dreamland. Now that I am awake, it disappeared into the ether. I guess I will stick with the stir fry.

As you may know, many Catholics abstain from meat on Fridays in Lent, but one of the priests at the parish I cook for told me he also tries to avoid it on Wednesdays too. Today's staff luncheon had two main dishes - a hearty fried rice with eggs edamame and roasted chicken thighs with barbecue sauce. Also served a salad and decadent dessert. Everyone was happy.

On Tuesday, I went to the bank to get cash for my gardener. He doesn't use Zelle, so I give him cash in an envelope. He came back yesterday after I paid him. He had my debit card and license that I left in the envelope.

Trip to the gym with Hubby. (Once we get there we go our separate ways, then meet back in the lobby.) Drive to area by lunch shop and kill approximately 45 minutes by walking around. I have no idea what the afternoon and evening will bring.

Today, we are bringing our new car home. We had booked a Honda CRV for months and because of the backlogs they are currently experiencing, they kept delaying it every month. Yesterday, we got a call from another Honda and luckily, they had the car. We will be getting our deposit back from the other dealership and getting the new car today. Fortunately, my husband's colleague is buying our old car for her son so we don't have to go through the hassle of selling it.

Played hookie from the day job today -- didn't get dressed until 9:45 and have been eating breakfast and goofing off since then. Now heading out to do a bunch of barely bonused gas shops since my tank says 50 miles. Made some phone calls that keep getting pushed back on the todo list and maybe some knitting this afternoon.

I know, right! I am beyond grateful.

Today, I cleaned up my kitchen and then destroyed it by making a hot dish and a stir fry. The original goal was to clean and then organize the fridge. Why are the chicken breasts I bought last Saturday good until the middle of April!

Cooked breakfast for six clergy. After I came home and fed the cat Hubby and I left for a walk, conveniently located in the area around my shop. The ordering requirement was a lunch special (small pizza, salad, soda), but we brought the pizza home and will reheat it for dinner. Hubby bought a bag of lettuce to bulk up the salad to two servings.

prince, was the recipe one you saw online? A magazine or other print? Check your gallery and see if you took a picture of it.

I went to the end of the internet looking for a ceiling fan for my bedroom. I found a nice one and continued looking. I could not find the original again. I looked in my gallery for something MS and there was my ceiling fan.

I've done three St. Louis-style pizza shops in the past week. If you're unfamiliar with the style, it's a very thin, cracker-like crust covered with Provel cheese. As I was pulling my papers together to shop another location today my stomach cried uncle. I visited the location close to Youngest Son's house and dropped off my meal after I took the required bite and photos.

I was at a client' s house yesterday. During our meeting, my stomach went into full, revolt mode. It was growling and churning. I'm sure he could hear it. I finally had to apologize and let him know that I had popcorn for breakfast.
