What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I used a laser pointer to entertain Pepper. She worked herself into a frenzy. Poor thing was panting.

I'm sure you got quite an entertaining kick out of it yourself as well!
Orchid show at the botanical garden, a decadent lunch out, and a mediocre dinner (which was by plan, knowing that we were going to finish the meal with chocolate covered strawberries and Crumbl cookies).

I did! I moved the laser north to south 10 feet and watched her pounce on the dot. Then I moved it in circles by her tail. That was fun. She did backflips when I put it on the ceiling. I finally picked her up until she stopped panting.

What did you have for lunch?

We split a field greens salad. I had Tuscan meatloaf, which was stacked on a pile of smashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. Hubby had polenta with sauteed spinach and three (or four?) types of sauteed mushrooms.

Good afternoon folks! Today I did some job searching, a bit of reading, a bit of writing, grabbed lunch, went for a little stroll with my partner. Tonight my plan is to work on a class that I'm presenting next week for a group, cook dinner, and then have a relaxing evening with my partner (probably some video games shoved in there somewhere).
I'm a day late, forgive me...

Loved that song from the first time I heard it!

So I just heard an idea. A day for singleness (whatever the reason) for the non-attached to be remembered, honored, and celebrated. Hmm. Think I like it. smiling smiley

Grade 5 after 2 days of grade 4. Holding up the couch and looking forward to 5 days off.
Today? Uh-oh. I heard noise when I pressed on our truck brakes. Brakes work fine. The noise comes and goes. Upon inspection, the Front Driver Side Brake Shield (a piece of sheet metal) I believe is cracked. So I guess, at over 305,000 miles, it's wise to buy both left AND right via Amazon. I'll replace them in a few days.

On a side note...have you seen that FORD is stopping production of the Electric Truck "Lightning" because of battery fire?

Are you going to buy an EV as your next vehicle?

Not me. As a Manufacturing Engineer / Quality Program Manager by training, I don't believe enough of the issues have been resolved to ensure reliability.

A rare day with no commitments on the calendar. However, by time I fit in a trip to the gym, grocery shopping, and other errands I have no doubt it will fill itself.

Injured both hands, probably in earliest January. This explains so much of other aspects of mobility and life. They are completely numb much of the time. They are scolding me now because their braces are not enough. I offloaded what I could from their "schedule" and will try alternate hot and cold treatments. In better news, I can also "practice piano" with the hand prep exercises I did to strengthen my hands before ever playing a note. Glad I remembered that! smiling smiley

Sounds like carpal tunnel or arthritis...hope you get better!
I just figured out how to make a flow chart in Word and then add it to a PowerPoint deck I'm putting together for a volunteer project.

Did you belt it out to your wife on 2/14?

Worked my butt off as usual. It's our busy season but I am so thankful for my job/employer. Got home late to an almost empty house. Everyone was on their own and ate
I met up with a coworker in the office to work on some models. It was a very productive day!

Oil change, not a shop, new phone, lunch at Starbucks, teeth cleaning and Dentist. Again, holding up couch and hope to do a few household tasks. The restaurant where I was going to have lunch was closed!
Worked from home. Instructed everyone to strip their beds tomorrow for another laundry marathon. YAY! I went to Trader Joe's. Dinner tonight was easy but tedious. Not going out this weekend. I have too much to catch up on and have to work.
Clearing up last/worst of silly parts of the day. I had some Chinese food a few weeks ago and the zany Chinese food dream stopped. I almost miss the communicative, gesticulating spring rolls. Almost. The caloric/nutrient alternative to a large slice of chocolate cake for Mozart's birthday became "Oh, eat the delicious cholate-y slab already! You know you want to!" But I won't do it-- that seems too sweet now.

Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. I read that battery pack replacements are $30,000!

Zumba class at the gym, Zoom meeting in the late morning/early afternoon. Church shop tonight for Mass, then dinner out. Hoping that an Afghan restaurant near the church won't be too busy-it's gotten some good reviews.

Can't get off the couch. Might have to Google how to do it lol
Then I'll clean the whole house and go for a long walk.
