What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Organized paperwork. Put most of it in shred pile. Paper area looks and feels liberated, haha. Tomorrow, will apprise tptb of the finally-known timing of events and try to get brownie points for avoiding the egregious error. It will be okay. Just okay. That is enough. Communing with them goes far in ameliorating the situation which ended up out of my control. They will not wonder; they will know. In a few days, printer will work and I can focus on the last of the paperwork.

Got some ice/snow overnight. According to the media sources morning rush hour was a mess, but when I ventured out on a produce run at 9:30 the roads were acceptable. Now my day can continue as planned :-)

Going for a little X-country ski. First clean and organized and unclutter!
Today's challenge, we don't know if sewer pump is working. It alarmed last night. So, not doing laundry till Hubby is home.
Before I left for the store I had sent a text to the priests at the parish I cook at. Neither responded until I was getting ready to change my clothes to head there. The associate asked for a couple of items from the grocery store. The pastor told me I could take the day off. Seeing as he is the boss, I will follow his suggestion.

KP; laundry; making lentil soup; finding good storage places for items cluttering up the dining and living rooms; prepping some of those items to put on Freecycle later in the week.

I pulled out the big crock pot to make kale and smoked turkey for the week. I have a tiny container half full left in the fridge. I ate that much, it was so good. They also shrank a lot I will try again tomorrow.

I saw a video on CMT. It's by Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. It's called, "Does He Love You.. The two women are done up, in a bar and comparing notes: one is the wife and the other is the girlfriend.

Didn't get to that ski yesterday. Petered out halfway through washing living room floor
¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

So, same plan today. Turned down substitute teaching X2. Feel bad, but I'm trying to be semi-retired. So, have to make this day productive so I don't feel guilty.

Worked and froze my butt off getting there and coming home. Tonight will be very low key. Mom and I will re-energize in a few, eat and wake up in a few to take inventory and start working on hand-crafted Valentine Day Cards. She is the artistic QUEEN.
Hubby still fussing with printer. Just in case, we are prepared to exchange printer. Gah. Hopefully this one can be made to work..

During my daily sponge bath I marveled that after sending hundreds if not thousands of my and his dollars, his scammer girlfriend paid up. Yup. She sent him fifteen dollars for gas. This is hardly the promised truck containing fifteen thousand dollars. Gah.

It was minus 20 yesterday and today started at minus 15. I almost didn't send my daughter to school yesterday but she wanted to go. Hopefully, the weather will improve in a few days.
Admiring the scant dusting of snow here; the first of this season. Assembled what will become a pot roast in the slow cooker. Taking and posting pictures of a whole lot of stuff to post tomorrow on Freecycle. KP and prepping veggies to cook later to accompany pot roast and gravy. Contemplating a nap and/or more easy tax prep stuff.

Mixture of classes today. Big mixup when I got to school. Teacher said she hadn't booked me. I showed her the messages she sent booking me. Anyway, I called another school, I'd turned down and went there.

Since I had 4 unproductive days off, I need to be productive this evening!
Pepper saw her first snow today. She didn't know whether to thwap it or lick it.

Woke up and wanted to hear Psalm 40. So my gorgeous music part of the day began with Mendelssohn's I Waited for the Lord and segued to Chicago's Feeling Stronger Every Day. In 2023, this is me breaking up with health issues, haha. Chanticleer for Silent Night and Ave Maria. Next, Tennessee Ernie Ford for a song that includes. 'stand by me' and Rua by Eddie James. Il Divo and Amazing Grace are followed by Eddie James and Agnus Dei. This last was a surprise, at least to me, based on the few other Eddie James songs I know. And there is so much more that I love in music world...

Trip to the gym for a Step class...during which I got my feet tangled and fell off the step onto the floor. Didn't hurt anything but my pride :-). This afternoon is a routine mammogram appointment

I'm still in my jammies after an 8 hour work day. Watered my big plants: 2 fiddle leaf figs, an umbrella plant and a prayer plant.

Pepper went outside for about 5 hours. She came back in and told me about her excursions. She then went to sleep.

Must be nice!

The pile of laundry did not do itself as I hoped. I started reading the Alex Cross books.

Standing morning meeting and a shop on the way home. Went to the mall with Hubby for steps and stopped at the food court pop-up restaurant for the best empanada I've ever had. I was happy to hear they have a brick and mortar location that we can visit some time.

Need to add strengthening and walking. Two more minutes of each tomorrow.
