In honor of Maria Callas birth date, I am listening to her Ave Maria. Later, I will listen to Bocelli and Caruso versions. Who knows what other beautiful renditions are out there? I have known of the major versions of this song for years, but thus is my first listening binge. I sort of backed into this song via the lovely Streisand version. Even non-Catholics and sticklers can appreciate the great music. So what if Schubert had written a poem for something else? We now have this Ave Maria, which is moving and meaningful to some people.
In the mundane part of the world, today is for laundry and finding new homes fot items on a catch-all table. We will then play cards and possibly do other activities at that table. Easy day..Feet/legs will be happy.
