Yesterday some rain got onto Hubby's bedside table. The moisture got trapped between the wood and the piece of glass he uses to protect the wood and left a huge water mark. I've managed to improve the mark (first using heat, then mayonnaise, and finally toothpaste). Tomorrow I will decide if I want to continue my efforts, or learn to turn a blind eye to the damage.

She won't touch the expensive canned food I got from the vet.

What else is there besides poultry, beef and seafood?

I keep a bowl of kibble out always and I feed her a can twice a day. She goes nuts!

She always has a fresh bowl of water. She only sips from the edge of the full bowl. I like the bone broth idea! Straight, no chaser?

There is, or was, a liquid wood finish product for light, medium, and dark wood tones. It might blend with the damaged table wood.

She is so sweet! Her bad breath is gone, thanks to antibiotics.

I should have said to avoid feeding only poultry, or only beef, or only seafood. There may come a time when one is no longer agreeing with kitty. If that's been their favorite, or all they're used to, it's a rough adjustment to remove it from the diet.

I make bone broth different ways, but primarily I make chicken. Sam's rotisserie chicken is nice-sized and $4.98 everyday. Sam's chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on are .99/lb. I pick the meat from the rotisserie chicken then use the carcass for broth. Similarly, I simmer the thighs for about an hour, remove the meat, and throw the skin and bones back in the pot. I add a bit of salt. Sometimes, I throw in some carrots. My male cat never drinks water, literally. So, he gets wet food. I add water to it and make it soupy. And he loves the broth. That's how I keep him hydrated.

My female cat, and my daughter's female cat both drink from the side of the bowl also. Cute!

Visited the Botanical Garden this morning. It was a beautiful late-fall day.

End one project and gaze at next one. Let the still vague plan for completing the next one percolate for awhile and start it tomorrow.

After last 2 October shops: pick up prescriptions; quick stop at Giant grocery store; look for additional Halloween candy on both locations.

Managing partner gave us the day off today due to meeting our deadline yesterday. Hallelujah. Cleaned like a crazy person. Went to Trader Joe's. Played with fur baby. Prepared Halloween treat bags; chocolate, dum dums, little notepad and pumpkin stickers.
Poor feet/legs. They began yesterday feeling and looking good. Then, sleepy me dropped my phone between them, grazing both ankles. Well. ! That was like owie kazowie to the one zillion seventy millionth friggin' power. ! Note well that this is the privilege of persons long out of early school and its requisite mathematical notations. If you live long enough, you get to express applied mathematics as you d'd well please. grinning smiley If they feel like it, I will spend ten minutes on the next project. If not, the entire regime of their trauma care will put me to sleep at odd times. Fear not. The phone will be tucked away somewhere...

Getting the carrots out of the garden. Given up on the rest of the beets. The sheep ate the tops and I can't find them smiling smiley

Blowing leaves, then blowing more leaves and then blowing more leaves. Darn too many trees lol.
Yesterday I got the high dose flu shot. For the first time in decades, I seem to be having a reaction to the vaccine; fatigue; aches and pains; lack of appetite. So, after sloooooowly completing the last 2 MS reports of the month, I am resting, forcing fluids, and wondering what I am willing to eat.

I took advantage of my insomnia. Instead of going to DMV like I planned, I efficiently ran my errands and got my shops done.

Going south, I did two shops and picked up some work items from a storage unit. On the way back home was another shop, Aldi and UPS for an Amazon return.

I stopped by Aldi to stock up on the green tea flavors: blueberry acai and ginger. I also got some food for Pepper. They had a frozen beef schnitzel that I am hoping will taste like country fried steak.

Keeping tabs on "my" team's football game. For the moment at least, we are in the lead for the first time in the game. Go, team, go! Am all set up and programmed for typical tasks and projects for the next few days. Feet/legs did not want to work on the current project, but they came along for the ride, in a manner of speaking, when hubby brought project stuff to me. I ended up working on a project for an hour and then using an emptied box to hold the things I am currently working with: books, music, hobbies, etc. Very helpful. Enables me to postpone expense for a better looking container and keeps me focused on the current themes. So the feet/legs traumas did not impede any work at-home work. I wish they were ready for on-site gigs and wage job. We are getting there at the approximate speed of molasses... or, just too slowly for my preference. And all is well anyway! Good and necessary things are happening. smiling smiley

The after-effects of the flu shot are gone and the sun is shining. Time to go to the Giant grocery store to replenish supplies of items that Aldi does not stock, or stocks only in sizes not useful to me. Then, home to do a load of laundry, unload and reload the dishwasher, and plan the week ahead.

We're supposed to go to a neighborhood meetup tonight, but it will be held outdoors and there's a slight chance of rain. I've crossed my fingers and started preparing the appetizer I'm bringing-Avocado Crack dip, which in addition to the avocados includes tomatoes, onion, garlic, parsley, feta, and a olive oil/red wine vinegar dressing.

Beautiful long nap yesterday energized me. Stayed up and finished most of this week's projects. After I finish the others, I will have another beautiful long nap.

Trip to the gym and Aldi on the way home. Walk with Hubby. Researching candidates and issues to figure out who I will vote for next week.

I keep LMN (Lifetime Movie Network) on in the background while I work. The movies are twisted and dark. The Halloween theme took the movies to another level!

At lunch, I went to get fingerprinted to volunteer at the food bank.

I think Pepper got fleas when she was at the vet. I ordered a collar for her. I think she likes Meow Mix wet food. She won't touch the Fancy Feast I bought from Chewy. They gave me a refund and told me to donate.

Prepped veggies for five future recipes. They are in dated, labeled containers and ready for "their time."
Later: laundry and gentle workout.

Went to Mass (All Saint's Day) and met with a friend to discuss a workbook I'm working through. Walked with Hubby to get a cup of coffee. Processed and cooked the kabocha squash that was a Halloween decoration, then roasted the seeds. After dinner Zoom meeting.

Using painsomnia well: those few kitchen tasks that hubby does not do; working out; stretching; and praying along with something called family altar. This is humbling.
