What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I will be out of town in August for the state's primary election, so tomorrow will be casting absentee ballot. Today is about doing research to figure out how I will vote on candidates and issues.

Watching Cadfael. Reading Day 6 (of 31 days) devotional. Choosing one project for later.

I put together my Prime Day wish list and fell down an Amazon rabbit hole. I now have 4 home projects and a wardrobe reboot on my plate. And all before work!

Hoping that my absentee ballot finally arrives. If not, I will go to vote at an early voting location tomorrow. The primary is 7/9. The candidate lists are soooo long that I have made up a list of the ones I have researched and am willing to vote for. Two county races have gotten brutally nasty.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
You don't think the system would track that you've already requested a ballot? That seems like a great way to scam the system and vote twice.

The MD state system covers that issue. When I arrive to vote in person they will see the serial number of the mail ballot that was supposed to have been sent to me. By voting in person, I will be canceling that mail-in ballot. The system accidentally sent TWO mail-in ballots to over 700 folks, but since both of those ballots have the same serial number, voting one will cause the system to cancel the other. Because of this glitch, local newspapers carried a whole story about the mail ballot system in MD.

After the gym Hubby and I did our absentee voting for the August 2 primary.

It was hard to get information so far in advance about the propositions, so I hope I interpreted them correctly. I also hope that there are no last-minute revelations about the candidates I chose that would have caused me to not vote for them.

Home alone with Furry Baby Love for most of the day today. DH did the 100 yard dash to the golf course and everyone else had to go physically into the office. Working, eating and snacking.
I bought a new blueberry flavored green tea. It has a unique taste. I like it. Amazon sent me a fridge filter in error. I had a return being picked up from my house so I contacted them to see if I could put it in the same package. They told me to keep it. I'm penning ideas for the gallery walls in my main hallway.

Doing a happy dance because the potential new housemate called to confirm that he wants the room. Money via Zelle tomorrow and paperwork on Saturday.

Hah. Completed two projects. Now, I relax with holiday movies, the devotional, and lists for the next two days. Feet & legs are scolding me, but they schlepped me from point A to many other points and have earned that privilege. They are getting better, and I am so proud of them!

Worked. Poolside during lunch. Two loads of laundry. Bought 4 Echo Dots with clock from Amazon to replace our boring digital bedroom clocks. Now I can make house announcements and requests effortlessly. Thought about upgrading our ring doorbell and Echo but decided we are still good.
I have an Echo Dot with the clock in my bathroom. I love it! I was thinking about getting one for my home office but I don't need it.

Voting in MD state and local primary election. Quick stops at: bank; CVS; grocery store; wine store; pick-up/return counter at Macy's.

Errands. The daily devotion. Pray for a better free-to-us dryer that actually dries loads in just one cycle. Celebrate that feet & legs are improving overall and have just a few troublesome areas. This is, I conservatively estimate, approximately 83.6% better that it was at the beginning. Huzzah!

Going with hubby in a couple of hours to bank, to get CD renewed and use interest collected to open MM account.
Wondering about a few people. Someone was waiting for medical feedback, someone else was thinking about how best to work Prime Days, etc.

I am just contemplating the "wish" thread. I wish for me and not so much for specific gigs. I wish to be ready in every way to return to work, and I wish for a variety of jobs to do when I return.

Morning bike ride. Two shops on the way to yearly visit with gynecologist. Hubby is leaving for the weekend, but I've yet to figure out what that means for me.

Decluttering. My aim is to go through lots of paperwork that I can pile on top of my shredder for another project. LOL
All of a sudden my personal (Blogger) blog won't let me in to respond to comments on last night's post, so now I have to figure out what's going on.

They last day of summer school! We had Panda Express to celebrate. Worked up the courage to reach out to my Mary Kay customers to see if they needed any skin care. Now time to clean up and maybe a dog walk. I really want to relax. I'm tired.
I learned last month that Goodwill removed their rooms to try on clothes, but today I found out that Savers got rid of them too! I wonder if that's why the selection has been so thin at the Vincent de Paul stores.

I have two bookend burger shops tomorrow. In between, I will run all the errands I neglected this week: return a cell that's under warranty, wine run, grocery shopping. My fiddle head looked parched so I gave it a drink.

Been trying not to panic all week, waiting for the results of my biopsy that was a week ago. With no call from the doctor or lab, I called them. Praise be to God, the result was negative.

Amazon sends a weekly Alexa email. It is worth reading. There is also the 88 Things To Do With Prime link buried somewhere.
