What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Marinating NY steaks, grilled zucchini with lemon rind salt, slices of watermelon, deviled eggs, a salad of tomato, mozzarella cheese & basil and strawberry shortcake with lots of whip. That's what's for dinner this 4th if July ! Probably will see illegal fireworks from my patio later.

We went to the water park and did some rides as well. Came home, lunch, then dinner, some cleaning, math and reading homework supervision, and hopefully, some fireworks from the patio at night.
Great 10 km hike yesterday. Was hoping for a bike ride today, but raining. Need to do at home exercise. Maybe yoga.
Time to clean, unclutter and organize the house!

Most beautiful part of the day: typical trip into the woods and unexpectedly observing Mama Moose and Baby Moose. They were across the pond (literally, a tiny fishing pond, haha!) and grazing. Eventually, it was time to find another feeding spot. Mama sauntered, all dignified and in control. Baby trotted and followed along on their smaller legs. Cute!

I worked my butt off. Just signed out and will resume in 2 hours when everyone is available. I managed to clean the kitchen and vacuum all the carpeted rooms.
I'm returning a fridge filter to Amazon. It's not working like it's supposed to. I replaced it last month and my "Replace Filter" light never went off.

Not sure. I completed most of today's task list in the middle of the night when legs & feet kept me awake. To see them, the uninitiated might gag or faint. However, I know how much better they are (even if they still look nasty in some places) and add this improvement to the ongoing list of progress and healing. Legs & feet make progress when I rest with them elevated. This does not bode well for house tasks... grinning smiley

My last stop after my post office shops was IKEA, to redeem my birthday coupons-one for $10 off merchandise and another for a free frozen yogurt. When I checked out I learned I had spent $10.50-not bad. The Bistro was closed, so no frozen yogurt for me :-(

Thanks. It's not my 'belly button birthday' (which is in January). Based on advice from a couple of sources I've started using alternate dates when signing up for store rewards. July is IKEA and Red Robin.

What's a belly button birthday?

My official birthday (the day I came into the world).

So grateful for Tubi Faith and Dove movies and a little book called 31 Days of Prayer by Ruth and Warren Myers. At the rate of one lesson per day, how far along will legs & feet (and everything else) be on Day 32?

Don't know why, but I have little energy today.

I was held Zoom hostage this morning. After my last meeting, which went over, a coworker asked if I wanted to team up and finish a project. NO!

Up again for most of the night. Feet & legs are a demanding bunch. Clamor! Scream! Nyah, nyah, nyah! I love that I can see my good, clear skin in more and more places. I hate that during this final phase it hurts like unprintable and has exceeded OTC approaches.. So, I asked for a non-habit-forming set of products that I can use for the duration. This will quieten the noisy crowd, haha. I hope.

Yup. But it is nearing its end. Picture it: The End. ! Never have I ever been so happy to get to the end of something. Anything good makes you wish for more, or a sequel, or something. I just wish for a return to work and paychecks, haircuts, and shaved legs. I ask for so little... grinning smiley

Day two of not feeling 100 percent. Came home from my meeting this morning and took a 90 minute nap. Tested for Covid (negative).

I'm at Nissan putting Rich's training to work. I saw a vehicle on their website that I must have. I am making dude sweat. Wish me luck!

ETA: No such luck.

The car that I liked online was not available for sale.

Feel better! Good luck!

My great task was to reassure hubby that it is good for his mommy to be away from the phone on a Sunny Saturday in the Summertime. He remembers holding her hand and anchoring her during winter winds. Today, it is so hot that the little breeze will only be a bit of a cooling agent. Mind you, I had to back this up with the official weather report for her area. But he is okay now. She, undoubtedly, is having fun and not thinking of us at all. This is how it should be.

When I woke up the ground was wet and there was still a light mist falling. Our phone apps said the precipitation would move out by 9 am, so Hubby and I decided to go to the Botanical Garden. We brought umbrellas, which was a good thing; in the ninety minutes we were there it was only rain-free for about 15 minutes. The rest of the time we walked through drizzle. However, the rain did a good job of keeping other people away, so at times we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

After the garden we had lunch at a nearby cafe (We were required to show proof of Covid vaccination to eat in, which not many places do anymore.) The rain followed us all the way home. Now my weather app says it will be finishing up in the 1 pm hour. I wonder if that's true?

Sounds Romantic!
KathyG, how are you feeling?

We had rain off and on yesterday. I repotted my new fiddle head and sat it outside for a drink.

Better. Thanks for asking.

Finishing a nice, simple report on my overnight hotel stay. Expecting to show the room and private bath to a fellow who is a biologist at a nearby Army Lab. He sounds like a good candidate for a new housemate. He will be pursuing an online masters degree while working (and serving in the Army) so needs a quiet environment and high speed Internet. I really need to get someone to rent that room now that it is refurbished.

Honny, did you buy that car???

Trying not to be nervous about getting the result of a medical test and trying to be overcome with doom. Did a shop that went really well...very positive an quick. Church was good. Grabbed a quick yummy breakfast. Daughter's with dad so I have a quiet day to myself.
Watching Mary Berry. Whoa! Hubby is changing laundry from washer to dryer! I need to check each piece! (Some garments air dry...)
