What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Back in the fall I determined we would need new warm weather sheets. When I was researching another topic in Consumer Reports at the library I found an article about bedding. It turns out that they rated LL Bean Pima Cotton sheets as a best buy. Last month I purchased a set At $160 for queen sized they weren't cheap, but I justified the purchase by thinking they will last a long time.

Today I swapped out the flannel set. WOWZA! The new ones are SO soft! I can't wait to go to bed tonight.

Yay for Spring Break! looking forward to taking things slow and not getting up at 5:00am.
I need to pick up shops for the week if I can.
Friday evening I went to Costco and a well known supermarket nearby. Had unpleasant experiences at both places. My response to the offending parties was " You are very, very rude.". Saturday was a family bottomless brunch at a very cool restaurant. My DH is truly bottomless. Afterwards, dropped my Mom back home and told her I'll be back to get her next week, LOL. Tonight, fine dining with my recent birthday girl. We had a great time. I hope you all had a great weekend.
Monthly money counting volunteer shift at church. On the way Hubby will drop his car off at the shop and will be without it for a couple of days. I have a pretty full plate this week so it will be interesting to see how we navigate being a one car family

Nearing the end of one annual project. (note to self: Hang in there, self! You are nearly there! In springier news, it is nearly warm enough on some days to sit in the shaded part of the porch. This year, we had to get rid of the porch furniture because it always blocked egress. Leaving in the open area left it available for the wind to blow around at will. Can you say, lawsuit if someone gets smacked by blowing porch furniture? Don't want that. Also don't want to retrieve the thing I sit on from mud and/or fertilized lawn. That was never a good thing. ! Now, we will schlep fold-up loungers from indoors to the porch and back again (lest we block egress). How many times can my back do this without freaking, shrieking, and/or otherwise protesting? We will see.....

The treasurer of a non-profit organization I'm an officer of wanted to buy some CDs instead of having all the extra funds in a conventional savings account. She did some research and made an appointment at a credit union about a half hour from my house. I told her I would be happy to come to the appointment and sign so there was more than one name on the paperwork.

I planned my day around the appointment. First I went to another branch of my gym for a Zumba class, then after the appointment I picked up a tire shop just down the street. Get to the appointment and find out that because the treasurer lives just over the county line (and her address is listed on the latest IRS paperwork) the organization cannot open an account.

Small, quiet day: more of the one project, lots of the napping, and a quick trip to drop off the car for repair. Later, I need to finish cleaning out my purse.

Time seems to fly when I'm at home and not on a strict schedule. If I were at work, it would still be Monday! LOL...Anyway, I have two shops planned for tomorrow.
Finishing a bank report; kitchen clean-up; poaching salmon for tonight and future dinners; taking pictures for a large batch of items to be posted of Freecycle when the downpours cease in a few days.

More of project. New-to-me workout. Laundry.

Trip to the gym for a class and Fresh Thyme for produce. May go get my hair cut.

Tonight an acquaintance from church who has a brother in the movie promotion business invited several people to an advance screening of a movie called Father Stu. Based on what little the Internet can provide at this point it should be interesting.

Today I'm doing laundry and kitchen clean up. Amazon delivered my first tea subscription of Bigelow green tea.

More of project. Typical workout. The really, long, deep, and purr-inspiring stretch.

In St. Louis, today is opening day for the Cardinals and an unofficial holiday. In our house little will get done between 2:30 and the end of the game.

I cleaned my kitchen this morning. Later, I went to Goodwill for a shop. My 3 shops this week, I got a piece of artwork, clothes, a cool pot and a much needed spoon rest.

Grade 3 today. I had in my head it was morning only and made plans this afternoon. Luckily, something made me double check, before I left the school. LOL Great class

Holding up the couch this evening.
Up early to work on the current project. It is nearly finished. I keep telling myself this.... Meanwhile back in the 'hood, someone was roaring, or screaming at the top of their lungs, or having a really noisy time getting their ya-yas out, or something. One window here was slightly cracked, and I could hear them all the way over here.

@prince: holding up the couch is a good and noble profession. I salute you!

It's sunny but cold, so a trip to the gym instead of a walk outside. Zoom meeting this afternoon, then getting together with friends for dinner.

As little as possible before the all-important nap before work. Yesterday, in a fit of efficiency, we scurried hither and thither and I missed the needed nap. I love that the time was filled with useful activity but I do not love that one useful activity (napping) was not happening.

Don't know why, but my sleep was very fitful last night. After church and some errands I think a nap might be in order.

Day 4 of six consecutive shifts. Feelin' it. Ow! This fulfills my basic required shifts for two weeks. It means a decent paycheck and a time and sleep crunch for two projects that have looming deadlines. But after that... ooohhhh, yeeaaahhh... I can sleep, stretch, breathe, and do something fun before the next batch of projects.

*eta*

Not quite. Today, I was at the end of a project and reached for all the tax forms and... they were not there. They do not seem to be anywhere. But you remember the stupid moment when a faulty smoke detector disturbed neighbors when we were not at home. which led to a massive upheaval of nearly everything in a hurry. Gah. !

Saturday, right before bedtime, I drank black tea. It was Earl Grey and I really love the flavor. I didn't go to sleep until 430am.

I found out first hand that black tea has significantly more caffeine than green tea.
