What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Laundry marathon. It is never ending. I am off this week with exception of working from home on Wed. I have a lunch takeout that will feed me and baby girl who is working from home this week. Ordering dinner from Boston Market today. $3.60 chicken entrees for everyone, LOL. Look for the coupon. It's for BM's anniversary celebration. Can't beat that. Will make roasted Brussels Sprouts, corn, garlic bread and baked potatoes to supplement.

Trip to the gym and then popped into Kohl's to spend some Kohl's Cash. I was amazed at how little merchandise they had in every department.

Later in the day I walked up to Walgreens to get Hubby's prescription. Threw together some leftover baked beans and mustard greens, added some water, and called it dinner.

Up early to work out, identify the concepts I want to work with in 2022, and put away yesterday's dry laundry. I did make it back from the road trip in time to do a few things at home. I even tried on my pants that I have for the next smaller size: losing 1 -2 inches will get me there! Mind you, wearing old-school pants with the waist closure at my actual waist would have me there already. But who am I to argue with fashion, styles, and hipsters?

On my way to two parking shops I will drop off a ton of donations at a local shelter that is right on my route.

^^^^ Love it! ^^^^
Last week I found out a branch of my gym convenient to that day's shops had a Zumba class on Tuesday. It had been a long time since I took one of those, and it was a lot of fun. Today I wanted to go again, but the distance (almost 20 miles) was almost a deal killer....until I found a nicely bonused apartment shop to justify driving that direction.

I love Zumba too!

Still without enough voice for the job, so will do a few errands and probably end with a major grocery stock-up (not a shop unless I can add something on the fly). Loving that the smaller size of shirts fits again and will set aside too-large tops as donations during future thrift store shops. Re-discovered Rose and Maloney and am cheering on this duo who search and search and search until they find out who is harming kids.

Trying to put new zipper in ski jacket so I can donate it. My machine doesn't seem to be up to this task.
Will try again.
Slowly building gig days which will replace work shifts. Simultaneously, figuring out how to spend substantially less for things. That train of thought (choo! choo!) led me to two shifts per month of savings and, more important, to that creative/resourceful place where I find this fun and invigorating. All is well in my nearly speechless world.

Son, DIL and 2 G-R-A-N-D grandbabies (one's 6 and one is 2 1/2) came down last evening to spend their Christmas with us. They will be here until Sunday afternoon. SOOooooo nice having them here!!!
Loving my iRobot Roomba! Works great on hardwood and tile floors. Carpeting? On the surface; does not go deep enough into the fibers/pile. Moe's catering for a Fajita Bar for 10 tonight. Have wine and beaus are bringing Tequila and limes. No driving tonight. Sleepover on couches and downstairs futons. Happy New Year to all. Best wishes, happiness and good health.
NYE Party via Zoom tonight with friends I made a salad with anchovies, garlic and healthy stuff.

I want a roomba! Have you see videos of the little dogs and cats riding on the roomba?

Is there a less expensive clone of Roomba that is efficient and effective?

Sleep late and watch the rest of 'The Oxford Murders' before choosing my first workout of 2022.

Happy New Year Everyone,
It's such a beautiful day outside...windy with bright sunshine at about 70 degrees. My baby girl and I just finished walking dog number 1, stopped for lunch, and then I'll let her ride her tricycle before naptime. Hopefully, I will get to put away the Christmas decorations and finish my Lifetime movie that I started yesterday.
Perusing simple recipes for Mexican-Style Shrimp Casserole and for Picadillo and revising my Monday shopping list accordingly.

Made black eyed peas and turnip greens in the Instant Pot....and ate more than I should have :-) Tonight is Hubby's first time to volunteer at our church's Bingo event. I will tag along and see what it's like.

I soaked my black eyed peas this morning and cooked them this afternoon. I stopped by Sam's Club after a nearby shop and they were closed.

@walesmaven. My neighbor has a Shark and she loves it. It's 2+ years old and has the mapping and self emptying features. She paid maybe $300 give or take a bit? She is the one who turned me on to getting one.
@roflwofl. So cute! Our Pomski is afraid of it. Surprisingly more so than my stick vac, Hoover vacuum and Floormate. Go get one!
Late to the game. Did a healthy lunch takeout on Thursday. Fee was reduced by $5 unbeknownst to me. It's all good. I normally do no fee food shops.
Looking at several robot vac options on amazon and thinking seriously about it.
There is a step down from the dining room to the living room. How will the robot handle that, I wonder?

@walesmaven. We have a split level home with a flight of stairs going down. DH provided me with DD's Sweet Sixteen candelabra that we saved as it is beautiful. We placed it between the railings. My neighbor got some sort of tape with her Shark that stops it from tumbling down. Our Roomba did not come with this tape. I do have to pick up puppy's water and food bowl (learned the hard way) before letting it do its thing.
