What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I have no idea what will happen today. Early job will happen when it happens. If it ends before nap time, I can do something productive at home. If not, well.....

After work I went for a walk around the equestrian center. I came home, made dinner and talked to my parents.

I am extremely pleased with how much I accomplished yesterday (and still tired from it).

So today is all about two concurrent projects. One is to re-arrange stuff and separate the donations from it. The other is to shred old paper.

Everything else is ignored, not mentioned, and not part of the feel-good plan. grinning smiley

Turning on the outside water supply and making sure there are no leaks and/or broken pipes. Closing a bank account that was open just so I might qualify for more shops. However, that brand stayed with very low pay assignments, so I am getting out. There is a handy branch quite near today's shop of a different bank that has a very nice bonus.

Thursday I went to my youngest daughter's graduation. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a McCoy Ambassador, sorority, and worked to help pay for her education.. I am sooo proud of her. She is staying to pursue her masters. I have an offer on my house finally. Will be doing my back surgery in August. Things are finally coming together.
Ready for more of the same: laundry, sort, donate, and watch something. (I did not get to the shredding. It's okay. The other was more important.) Yesterday, we watched a promotional video for a train trip. Nice ride-- regardless of which package you choose! Then, I realized it is a fourteen hour round road trip for a two hour train ride. This estimate does not include sleep, general tourist lollygagging, and sustenance. It would be lovely to return to that region because in the distant past, we drove through it or near it numerous times on the way to somewhere else. OTOH, that long trip would so fill our 1.5 free days that we would need another, separate vacation. Ahhhhhhhhh...... the joys of contemplating potential travel as some restrictions might be lifting here and there.....

I got my second shot of Pfizer on Saturday. I had a slight fever for two days but I think I will be okay today. @Shop-et-al..sounds lovely. My favorite place is Tennessee but would love to visit Cancun again. Maybe, next year hopefully,
All great news! I'm happy for you!

Yesterday's class at the gym resulted in sore glute, adductor (inside of thigh) and oblique (side of torso) muscles. It's been hard to move around :-)

Meeting with our financial person for a post-retirement pow wow.

To town to pay deposit on new faux wood blinds. Easy to spend money! And hard to walk out without choosing new flooring too. lol
Pretty day here and there: Some sun, some rain, some blooms, and a nice spread of temperatures. smiling smiley

Finishing 2 reports; short phone meeting about a new project; trip to TJ's for non-driving neighbor; KP I may also smoke more salmon fillets to have on hand for cold suppers. We are about to have high temps near 90F, much too early in the year for comfort!

Waiting to find out about a requested gig for today. If it's a go,.I will go. If not, I will stay here and do boring things such as sort something, clean something, and shred something (when not dropping off a vehicle for new tires). Yawn.

Went to work. Too many people were most annoying all day long. All offspring leaving for Cancun for 6 days in 1.5 hours; actually it is tomorrow but still the previous day to me. DH driving them to the airport. Can't fall asleep.
Work, a little follow-up care for the car, organize forms and app access for upcoming work, and... more work.

I had a coughing fit yesterday after eating some snacks. I wasn't choking; I just couldn't catch my breath.

To say it was scary was an understatement.

Eep!

What were you eating? (if you don't mind my asking...)

So I took Mom to the oral surgeon for a tooth extraction today. Someone in the waiting room had perfume on. I started sneezing. I had a mask on. So did everyone else. I could see people shrink away when I sneezed. Hopefully some day we can get over that feeling. I've had it before too so I can sympathize with the people who did that.

What a day. Early job started so late that the resulting domino effect on the rest of the day ruined all plans and squeezed out all but a few necessary events. So much for being proactive, planning well, and achieving goals.

Astonishing! It is Sunday, supplies were on time, and we finished the early job... early! Early! On a Sunday! Are we on another planet!? grinning smiley So that was a wonderful beginning to this day. smiling smiley

You definitely can't sneeze in public!

Free day! Woo Hoo!

Another day where the shop is tangled up in real life. Hubby and I are headed to the Zoo for an evaluation. While there we will ride the train and the carousel, see the Sea Lion show, have a reimbursed lunch, and get paid to get our steps in.

Today we give the dog a bath and will remove the pool cover off our above-ground pool. High this week at or in low 90s. Low humidity this week is a blessing, with these somewhat above normal high temps!
