Long nap after work and extra work x 1. Still to do: reports, workout, and finish one book.

I got a Koppang 6 drawer chest from Ikea. It was a curb side pick up. Hate assembling those things but husband's really good at this stuff. Got a new phone as well. T mobile is currently running an exchange program for old phones. I had an old flip phone from ages ago lying in a junk drawer. Got a brand new Samsung a32 5g for $25 in exchange.
The plumber is coming tomorrow to install the water line for my big girl fridge. It's still not full. The fridge in the garage has a 2.5 G jug of water. I may stop by the Dutch market tomorrow.

About 4 years ago, when one of my discs herniated, and I had to rest for a few weeks till the pain subsided, my sister sent me a set of DVDs with the first 5 years of Call the Midwife. I got through the first two seasons and thoroughly enjoyed it. Never have watched the rest, though.
I am on season 5 now @guysmom. Have 6 on hand from library.
I enjoy it.

Well tax deadline is looming and I have suddenly found the energy to clean my house. Lol

Work, work, work, and... watch a movie.

I am getting vaccinated tomorrow at Walgreens. Passport's expiring so will get a photo done as well at the same location while waiting. I just feel drained out today. Like nothing's left inside me. Maybe, I am getting old. Maybe because dishwasher's broken. And it's just 2 years old. Those Choice Warranty guys refused to fix it. They sent in a guy who was so rude and broke one of the skirting pieces around the wall. Husband had a heated discussion with their customer service and they promised to fix it on Monday and apologized for their guy.

Been a long day. My 3rd grader's Quadrilateral lesson took most part of my afternoon. She is much better at Geometry than I was!
Someone suggest a good movie pls..

Work and extra work x 1. Laundry and then scurry to other job. Early to bed. !

Laundry. All day long. Freed at 4pm. Pampered myself and then went out to dinner. Went to the Asian market afterwards. Bought 12 bricks of tofu, mushrooms, bokchoy, oranges, garlic and cilantro. Loaded Mom up too.
It was nice to wake without an alarm, enjoy pancakes for breakfast, and move leisurely throughout the day. I even took a nap!
The plumber left some equipment plugged into the garage outlet. He unplugged my fridge which had groceries in the freezer. Luckily, everything was salvagable.

Work and extra work x 1. A few little tasks and projects. Workout, watch movie, and say, "Enough!"

Roasting a whole chicken; making twice baked cheese potatoes; kitchen clean-up; consolidating trash; napping.

We had roasted chicken for supper too.
Got tested for Covid as I was a close contact at school last Monday. sad smiley
Will be home all week now.
Painted the laundry/furnace/hot water heater room. There was SO MUCH to paint around! And even though I spent a long time covering appliances and duct work I still had to clean wet paint off a couple of things.

Mostly free day! Pleased because hubby dropped the extra work. It was paid at half of a reasonable rate, even though in the past in was paid at 75% of reasonable and was then assigned with another unit that was paid appropriately. The pay for the two together was acceptable if not perfect. I believe that hubby made enough attempts to explain how and why the new pay structure pay was inadequate and that tptb made it plain that the situation would not change.

So after a little bit of work, there are no demands or expectations. There is just time for needed things.

*eta*

DAAH (damned and accursed hubby) took back the underpaid route. gaah. blaah. !

Put the laundry room back together until next week, when I will install some shelving.

I repotted the new fiddle leaf fig tree and placed it in a spot where it can hopefully grow tall. I repotted some succulents to larger pots. I also potted some aloe vera clippings. I think those are going to die.

The plumber is returning tomorrow. I only have several bottles of vodka in my freezer.

I liked yesterday so much that I am patterning today after that: a little work, no expectations, no demands, and time for needed things which I define and choose.

Routine eye doctor appt; the wine run that didn't happen yesterday; more kitchen clean-up; prep for trash and recycling day (tomorrow); de-bone and freeze cooked chicken.

Went on a short road trip to replenish our balsamic vinegar stash. On the way we stopped at a museum connected to a lock and dam on the Mississippi River. Walked in just a couple of minutes before a tour started, then outside coincidentally were there as a group of barges went through the lock. After getting our vinegar we walked through one of the town's residential historic districts.

Excited about early job again. We have our usual work and nothing extra. (For the second time, hubby gave back the underpaid route.) So today I have work, one project, and one task. It is enough!
