What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

My microwave was delivered. I am so so used to doing without one, I have not used it.

Happy Easter! Had some yummy baked oatmeal for breakfast. Taking lunch with us on a bike ride. Youngest Son will be coming for dinner.

Work, extra work x 3, and whatever can be done for Easter. Hubby will figure out how much of an additional project we can [reasonably] complete and we will continue with some of that even as two thirds of the extra work are gone for most days of the week. Here's to potentially happy customers! Here's to more productive me!

We dyed eggs last week. Used those eggs for an Easter Egg Hunt out in the grass. My daughter had a blast finding them. Easter Dinner preparations are on. Just the three of us though. Lesson on George Washington Carver, a little bit grammar and math with my 3rd grader. Tons of laundry to fold while I watch Roseanne. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!
Free day! There are only a few mandatory things to do (and one of them is not death, haha. I then get to choose to plow on through more projects or take a more dainty approach and give myself a diy mani/pedi with my tool kit. Either way is good.

Through recent shops I have discovered a bank that I have recently moved my major accounts to. today I am taking long-time housemate there to open her accounts. Her current bank has been treating her like @#$% and the new bank will be much better for her. She has a lot of difficulty making changes, so I will provide moral support.

Later, empty freezer (holding perishables in insulated bags for the duration) and move it to deck to drip/dry while it defrosts. Retrieve freezer. While it is cooling down, housemate and I will do a big grocery run and return with items that need that freezer space.

Last day of my 4 day weekend. Recuperating from Easter Sunday. Finished and filed tax returns for family.
I am in Rockland county and going to see my mom tomorrow for 30 minutes. we will be outside so it should be very pleasant. smiling smiley I am waiting for Rock the Block on Hgtv....
Additional Project Day. We have a generous time frame for this. I would prefer to be on the job now and finish our work before traffic happens. Hubby is still asleep. It's okay. I had time to play the Jumble, do a little workout, and contemplate the rest of the day.

Perfect day. Slept well, up early, have the morning to do household stuff, week 3 day 1 of Couch to 5K and kindergarten this afternoon
Drove by the vax site today. It looked dead. We have appointments for tomorrow. Hmm...

Best Buy sent me an email to schedule my fridge delivery. Last week, I scheduled it for this Friday. I called them and found out that the removal of my old fridge will be done at a later date. After some back and forth, everything is being done on my scheduled date.

Called a former housemate who is a Master Plumber. He will do the work for me.

I received my stimulus check today. YIPPEE!!!! It's in my savings account so I don't nickel and dime it away.

I'm getting a Big Girl fridge on Friday...yayyy!!!!!

The new front door and storm/screen door combo are being installed today ! Hurrah ! I will stop off at
a large Goodwill store on my way home from 2 shops, to drop off donations and browse for items that I might be able to resell at a nice profit on E bay. Spring cleaning here means "stuff useless to me" OUT; stuff to sell, IN.

Having the O-L-D grout on the master bathroom floor removed...as much as is possible without breaking the tiles that are in place. The old grout is all chipped and pieces of it are missing after many years. The person who originally laid the tiles down back about 18-20 years ago is a friend of my husband's....and he never did the job correctly in the first place. The tile guy doing it came highly recommended. He leveled with me when he first came out to give an estimate, and said that it would be best to do a complete re-do of the whole floor, but we just can't afford it. So he gave us another option, and he's starting today...going to get the old grout up and fill in with some new type of grout that is sealed when it's put down. (I do have about a dozen tiles left over from when it was done originally in case one or two do break). This new tile guy says when he's through it will look a whole lot better than what's down there now! I hope so!!

Also, finally got a new laptop to replace my trusty Windows 7...HP Windows 10 Home. Started playing with it last night. It doesn't come with any sort of optical drive, so I ordered a combo CD/DVD USB one that should arrive today. I also ordered a special USB to USB data cable that is specially equipped so that I can transfer files from my old laptop to my new one. I'll be working on that most of the day while the grout in the master bathroom is being re-done.
kimmiemae, ask again in 2 years.

Started looking for new family room furniture. Found out that special orders are taking as much as 26 weeks to come in.

Work and extra work x 1. Nap. A few house tasks before a few errands. Yesterday, I had my first hair appointment in more than a year. I got a trim. I went in with the presumption that four or more inches should be whacked. The pro only needed to remove two or three inches at the worst places. Yay. I emerged from the salon happy with my long, tidy hair. smiling smiley

Walked up to the grocery store to buy beer to drink while we watch the St. Louis Cardinals home game on television.

Applied some drywall compound to a house I'm building in early retirement, fixed a leak in the truck A/C by replacing an o-ring and recharging, cut the grass, noticed ~$5K increase in my stock market investments today, and I'm now relaxing with a Grand Cacao beer. Not all days are this good, so I'll savor the moment.
Check Freecycle! My living room furniture came from a business. I got it to temporarily furnish my space, but it's a keeper.

Freecycle used to be a big thing here, but then the group went inactive. I just did a google search and found out there's a new group. Thanks for the reminder.

In my area there are 5 active Freecycle groups within a 6 mile radius, so plenty of activity. But, they all run on volunteers, so always looking for help.

Work and extra work x 1. Try to recover from the second covid shot. I have fatigue and the chills; I canceled my shift. There was not enough room for me, two blankies, and two heating pads in the office chair. *sigh*
