In a perfect world, getting up at midnight is the right time to be ready to start the early job on time in order to finish on time (as per contract). But it is what it is, and usually supplies for the early job arrive several hours later than that. But I always want to be ready to be on time.
Today I "should" be sleeping in, but I need to work with my back for awhile before another back-intensive day.
*eta* the back-intensive labor never materialized. Instead, it was determined that the particular gig should be left to staff members, who can complete the otherwise easy (for everyone except my back, haha) tasks as time permits in the office. I was not surprised. I was pleased. I don't know what this means for payday. I know that it means less hassle for an office that is stretched to the limit because of how Covid-19 measures have changed their work days.
