What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Subbing for the pm in Kindergarten. That is enough to exhaust me. No mystery shops in that small town. But my favourite local butcher is there

Sweet day in the country, a little work, and a little fun.

Rode my bike up to the bank to put a $3 refund check in the account and get some cash. ATM refused to recognize the check, so my other option is to do the drive-through next time I'm going out. Trying to decide if it's worth it for $3.

Youngest Son is getting ready to buy a house. He hasn't asked either of his parents for advice, and I SO want to give it!

Today I cried. Son, DIL, and three yound grandchildren showed up for a two week visit AUGUST 5. They packed up and left today. Tensions were running high, it was time for them to move on but I'll miss those kiddies.
What about using remote deposit on your bank's app?

Work, at some convenient time, and when it is a little warmer than it is in the middle of the night. This is the freedom of any Tuesday that does not include extra work. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh........... smiling smiley All other days are as per contract.

My task list is long. My energy is vast. I can do something before naptime.

In the past if the check wasn't accepted by the ATM the app also had issues with it, but I will investigate. Thanks for the reminder.

Dropping packages at Post Office; Aldi, Trader Joe. Assemble two items that arrived for my reorganized office area.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Last Wednesday I received an email that someone at an event I went to on October 31st had tested positive for COVID. Although I'm completely asymptomatic I've been avoiding people. Hubby and I have been walking in empty parking lots during non-work hours. Today's adventure was at the mall, two hours before they opened. I learned that by combining the parking lots and parking garages I could safely make it around the perimeter of the complex.

That was a LONG two weeks, wasn't it, Rho*?
A second half day of subbing in Kindergarten. Glad to be home on the couch watching the blizzard instead of driving in it.
Day One of a two-day business meeting for an organization I belong to. Sat in my office from 9 am until 6 pm with an hour break for lunch. At least I got to feel the nice weather coming through the open window.

Two meetings, lesson planning, brushing off work stress, taking Feonia to the pet hotel, and finish packing for my trip to Columbia!
One of the grocery errands had to be postponed until today. Hoping to accomplish that before this drizzle turns into serious rain. Then need to assemble a floor lamp and little under-desk cart for the office that arrived late yesterday. Roasting turkey wings and then making turkey gravy base with those plus some veggies and broth. vacuuming and dusting and tidying.

Work (late, as usual), work at home, and work out in some fun way.

Found a new park to walk in away from people. (SO BORING!) At least the weather was nice.

I bought a memory foam mattress in a box online. I chose that option because the delivery includes removing the existing mattress. The delivery date is Saturday and I have the food bank first thing in the morning.

*happy dance* Early job was on time, and I was back at home before the deadline. This was perfect! I am adding gigs because the night job might be affected by covid surges in the area. I hope this job will last and planned all along for a covid shutdown at the workplace. After a nap, it will be time to clean the car inside and outside. I always like the clean, clear feeling of a freshened car.

Tried to get a covid test yesterday, but the urgent care had none available for the rest of the day at 9:30 in the morning. Today Hubby and I were waiting when their doors opened. Being the first and second in line, we were in and out in 25 minutes.

I think that my kitchen is rising up in revolt. (I almost started this by saying that "my kitchen is revolting," but thought better of that.)
The water vessel part of the coffeemaker is leaking all over the counter. (I had suspected that the small puddles came from that, but now it has become a very BIG puddle.) The large toaster/convection oven's time has become so unreliable that instead of turning it off when the time runs out, the timer just stalls and lets the toasting/roasting/baking continue. (Yes, a separate timer that can be heard 2 rooms away would help, but the temperature control also appears to be getting wonky after about 20 years of use.)

A favorite recipe had gone walkabout for 2 weeks and then turned up held to the fridge door with a magnet. The sink drain backs up into the garbuerator (lovely term that I learned for a Canadian friend about 50 years ago.) Three of five "long life" LED bulbs in the ceiling fixture have died, as have both of the bulbs in the under-cabinet light closest to the store top. (Temporarily using a battery operated work light to see into pots on the stove top.)

I am forming a counterrevolutionary plan for lighting, drain, oven. Will look on Ebay for a coffeemaker and try to figure out a temporary "diaper" for the current one. If I ever find the missing sox (doesn't every household have some of THOSE !?) I will interrogate them about the kidnapping of that recipe.

The usual:
- work, in which most deliveries will be on time while others will have to be a tad late.
- errands.
- extra work.

Count down the days until eye exam and an opportunity to ask ever so politely if my eyes are finally ready for surgery which will remove or lessen the need for lenses, clean something, sort something, and be grateful for how easy and pleasant the last two extra work days of the month will be. Love that!

Yoga, X-country ski.
Clean and organize and declutter whole house. lol
Finish stuffing my Advent calendars for the grandkids and figure out how they are getting delivered.
Bug the cat shelters again, call a further away one.
Sew. I want to make over a few clothing items to accomodate my weight loss. Oh and that Christmas tree skirt I plan to make every year. LOL
Write 2 Christmas cards and one sympathy card.

Tomorrow I have the food bank. We are doing our Thanksgiving baskets, so that will be fun.

I keep getting scam calls from SSA.

Hubby got the results of his covid test about noon. Mine took five extra hours, during which I worried about what was wrong. However, both were negative. I can start packing for trip to California!

yay for KathyG and Hubby!

So you know the drill already:
-work, which is all or mostly on time today (two days in a row. wowza!)
-extra work, which places me near thrift stores & the possibility of better coats at lower prices and a chance to stock up on basics at the nearby club store
-sort something, clean something, and go to bed as early as possible
