Starting the process of moving summer clothes to less easily reached places and bringing in cool weather clothing into the easier to reach areas of closet and drawers. Trip to Aldi and to an ATM. Deep conditioning my hair. Making medical appointments, including for flu vaccine.

Work. Grocery store (not a shop). Start the book that has been staring at me for about a week. "Read me... reeeeaaaadddd mmmmmmeeeeeee..... read me now!"

It's been a very interesting 24 hours. Last night was the Census Enumeration of homeless people. Started at 7 pm, finished at 5 am. Tried to sleep and wasn't too successful, so I'm guessing it will be a good night tonight.

I stretched, scheduled shops, and almost fell asleep at the computer. Anyway, today started with work and continues with 'My Lucky Face' by May-Lee Chai. Reviews from around the world agree: this first novel is informative and satisfying. smiling smiley

Sounds like a book I would enjoy

I am still trying to get my oil changed. The B odometer in my car says I am not due for another few months. The dealer sticker says I was due over the summer. The dealership is free. Jiffy Lube is free with a shop. There are no shops until next month.

Made a trip to youbreakifix and met 3 amazing, helpful folks.Techies who speak in understandable terms !! My phone will be fixed in about 3 days, when a part arrives, and they threw in a replacement battery. While they were diagnosing the problem, I asked a lot of questions, and since the store was not busy (only opened yesterday!) the folks were eager to share and explain a lot of stuff about various home technology choices. Since they do not sell any of those items, I got their personal/professional views concerning some choices that I need to make in replacing a computer system and repairing a printer.

Now, soon, off to a bank ATM and a grocery store.

Was going to city to visit my aunt in hospital. Now restrictions have tightened up and I can't go.
Cancelled application for the one job I applied for.
Honny,
It is almost next month, so why not snag an oil change while they are available as shops? I sure have been getting emails about them, but do not remember which MSC. Duh!

wales, my favorite MSC has the shops listed at base fee, but not the location I wanted. I ended up paying for it. It was interesting with the COVID conditions. I had to stay in my car while they did the service.

I cooked a small, deep dish pizza upside down in my oven. I made a huge mess on my oven floor. My pastor is leaving at the end of this month.

I did a lot of clay work with my daughter. So much fun! Apart from a lesson on George Washington and Math (Honny and Wales..see I am getting better ...MATH smiling smiley and some cooking, I enjoyed watching Enola Holmes on Netflix. Yesterday, watched the first episode of The Great British Baking Show. So far, contestants look disappointing.
Got out some cool weather clothes and realized that some of them need to be replaced. Figuring out the best way to take care of that.

Do something in the garden.
Make a big pot of borscht to use some beets. I tried carrot and beet "chips" yesterday. May try again, even though no one else even tried them. lol

Did a market research survey that involved smelling "malodorous" cat litter and rating how well the litter masked the nastiness. Took 10 minutes from entering office to receiving my check for $45. Next I drove to a flood plain lake park and rode the trails. Finally, I finished up by grocery shopping. The Aldi by me is getting ready to close for remodeling and was missing about a third of the items on my list.

I made a list of several appointments that I need to set up. Then I remembered that I do not currently have a working phone. Grrr. Good news though; the necessary part is supposed to arrive at the "fixit" place today.

Also, our mail-in ballots arrived today along with a nice long list of secure drop-off locations that are already open. All are on county owned, property with special security and surveillance. One housemate and I will drop off our ballots; the other wants to vote in person. MD early voting sites do not open until late October.

Work. Extra work times four, which was interrupted by a previously scheduled dental appointment. This was not ideal but the initial lateness started the whole thing and created the need for someone to fill in for a person who had to go to their regular day job. Listen to oldies (really old, as in Dianna Ross and The Supremes on vinyl) Had to reschedule my flu shot for later in the week, haha. We need to cast early votes because they need us again as election judges. In a perfect world, the people who work all the elections are just being cautious...

When does everyone get their flu shots? I get mine in the middle of October.

My job orders meals from local restaurants to support the local economy. Yesterday, we ordered (at my suggestion) from a sports bar that I shop. The food was delivered, but they forgot our drinks (sodas, lemonades, etc.).

The restaurant realized their error and replaced the entire order at no cost to us. I was happy to hear that my coworkers want to order from them on a regular basis.
