What book are you reading?
I am reading Quentins by Maeve Binchy
I am listening to Blue Shoes and Happiness by Alexander McCall Smith
And on my phone, I have The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. I keep a book on my phone to read when I am awake in the night.
But no reading today. House guests are arriving.

I have the Kindle app on all of my devices. With my Echo, I can have them read to me. I got my Echo Auto for that purpose.
It wasn't that long ago that I said I would never read a book in electronic format. Now, I can't remember the last time I read a hard copy book for pleasure.

I am reading 'In My Time' by Dick (and Liz) Cheney. It opens with his description of 9/11 events as they unfolded where he was and describes what people who hunkered/bunkered with him were doing in response to no, little, and eventually more information. The anniversary of that is less than two months away, and it seemed good to get a reminder of why it not a good to wage international (9/11) and domestic (rioters now) terrorist attacks on the good ol' USA.
Your reading list sounds wonderful. Enjoy your house guests!
Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching kids what counts is best.

Work. Long nap. Wearing the next size smaller jeans and still breathing. Gather the largest pants and give them away with or without a donation shop. More of book and projects.

When Hubby gets off work in five minutes we'll officially begin our 40th Anniversary Weekend Extravaganza.(The actual day is Sunday) It was supposed to be a trip to somewhere exotic, but thanks to COVID concerns we're settling for day trips from the house and a blessing at Mass on Saturday night.
