First I called the SSA, used their telephone options system to arrange for them to call me back when I made it to the front of the line and then waited about 1 hour for them to call me back. (LOVE that service! Their estimate of when they would be able to get back to me was correct within 5 minutes of the actual time.) Then I was able to change the account to be used for my direct deposits. (Hint, keep the old account open until SSA DDs begin to appear in the new one !!)
Emptied washed and lined, 6 large kitchen shelves. While I had everything out of the shelves, I spotted some things that can definitely go into the donations box. Also found long expired OTC meds to put into the box where we hold such things for the next county meds round-up day.
Changed bed linens. Tidied kitchen. Folded and stored clean laundry. I kept intending to baked cranberry walnut bread, but waves of such fierce rain and electrical storms seemed to arrive every hour or so after the preceding one had dropped 2 more inches of rain. Did not fancy having the power go out with my masterpiece half baked, lol.
The two donations boxes (one for a shelter and one for a charity store) are threatening to take over a whole corner of the living room wile I wait for the recipients' locations to permit donations again after the shut down. So, tomorrow I will sort and reorganize and find boxes and bags for all of the accumulated stuff.
