Woke up with a stiff neck this morning. Thought a yoga class at the gym would help stretch it out, but there was a sub who did a fairly vigorous Pilates session that made it worse. Called the chiropractor on the way home and got an appointment for later today.
I was supposed to go to a statewide meeting this weekend. (I'm the secretary for the group.) We had a lengthy text conversation and came to the conclusion that the meeting will be cancelled. Now half of Friday and all day Saturday is freed up.

I worked at the thrift shop today and helped the sweetest older lady I've ever known besides my gramma buy an entire spring wardrobe for $120. She was saying how she didn't have many friends left and left with a few today..me and another sweet older lady who happened to share the same first name and same grade school (2 hours away from where we currently are) who took the other sweetheart to lunch around the corner. I wish that making friends at a store, restaurant, etc wasn't such a rare occurrence anymore and I'm definitely reminded to smile and say hello to a few more strangers,

The early job was so late that we did our work and subbed for someone who had to go to their day job already. This was a good thing because the extra money offsets potential missed shop opportunities. I had to go home and do projects already, but it was better to get the money and defer the projects into eternity...

Today was a beautiful day! It seems like our winter is over and done with.
My church canceled services for the next two weeks. The food bank is still happening this Saturday, but outside.

I am ready for early job and three projects. It's too soon to know about extra work which would replace projects (and a few shops). I would rather plop in fave chair and read a good book all day, but it is sweet to anticipate the next reading day.

I have a list of chores and projects that I will tackle seriously if/when I decide to stay at home. I am easing into some of them, but still doing low contact shops.

I will be attending my standing Friday meeting, but it will be interesting to see how many choose not to attend. Then several food stores on the way home. Trying to decide whether to stay home and eat leftovers tonight or stimulate the economy by eating out :-)

Hello lovely shoppers. I have been busy preparing to hibernate and not go out for at least a month. My wife is high risk for CV so I'm not going to chance bringing it home to her. Today I cleaned the freezer. I will pick up a huge load of food from walmart tonight and stuff it in there. Then check the post office box and banking to get some cash on hand. Today is the last day I will go anywhere for the foreseeable future. I have also been organizing piles of boxes and crap that has accumulated while I was either busy/recuperating. I am making some progress and am delighted about it. The CV has put my etsy project on hold since I can't go out to flea market and garage sales to find treasures. Going to have to live on credit for a little while. Bummer. We are very lucky we have some credit to live on and can choose not to work though.
Redoing my grocery, OMG, the information they want is unreal. Raining all week and with the threat of the Virus, staying low.

I'm doing the food bank tomorrow morning. The hall is closed, so everything will be done outside. Volunteers have to arrive at 6am to do the prep work that was canceled this week.
All in all, this situation is not hitting me. I take the same precautions that I do every flu season.

I went into Costco for my normal Friday run. The line to check out was all the way to the back of the store! When I found out they were out of two of the things on my list (tofu and spinach) I put my items back where I found them and left.

I had a membership there. They were too much. I understood everything was bulk, but it was a lot.
I opted for BJ's Wholesale (local Costco). The bulk items were smaller. For instance, the ground turkey at Costco came in 6 1-pound packages. The ones at BJ's were 3 pounds. That was was doable for my household.

I like GFS, they don't have a membership fee. Although BJ's will give you one for 3 months for free.

LOL! No. There are so #$#&& many projects to do and on many days work and extra work eat up the time that could have been used for projects. There then was the year and a half with a bum leg, and... it all adds up to inefficient and a backlog of projects. But things are getting better. Three projects go away completely and forever next week (as three others did today). This frees up the time and space for more projects. I hope that this will be gone by mid-April or so because I need to read and have porch time.

We eat a lot of produce. I buy Costco-sized containers of spinach, mushrooms, and peppers. They're cheaper there than anywhere else. (Today my list also included tofu, almonds, and calcium pills. All good deals.)

I discovered GFS on a mystery shop. Loved them, but they closed the store near me. I will stop in another location if I happen to be in the area.

I wish they still had that shopper program. I did those shops for years. They still have 2 locations in my area, though the 3rd one closed.
The food bank was this morning. We had a lot of volunteers despite the chaos. I was happy about that. The church ladies were in emergency mode and had everything outside. We did 3 days worth of work in 1 hour and were ready to go at 7am.

Today I'm doing a bank run (an errand that didn't get done yesterday.) Then hand sanitizer and washing them when I get home. Then a load of laundry and working on a project @Shop-et-al!!!!! I'm home I get to do projects! I'm cleaning off some storage shelves in the hallway and organizing them to make room for yet more stuff to be moved from our office room. I need to make space for a twin bed in there. It's a large room but full of stuff.
