What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Today was church. I was reminded that I volunteered for "Ashes on the Go" on Ash Wednesday. I had to move some stuff around.

Got back yesterday from spending 3 days with son and family. LOVED seeing my two grandbabies!!
Went to a soup and dessert tasting and contest. Went in hungry, waddled out.

Last week of the month. Is there anything besides MS ??? Well, maybe groceries and wine store, but not much else !

Continuation of yesterday: work early, sort stuff, get rid of a boatload of @#%Y%, watch something good (while working out), and listen to something wonderful.

I'm being bombarded with EOM emails but they are mostly some distance from me. I usually make some pretty lucrative routes out of these shops but I'm not up to that kind of thing yet. So I'll just stay home and clean the bathroom, watch videos and play games. It kind of sucks because I want a new phone and need to make the money to get one. I'll just have to keep my old slow piece of crap another month. I guess if that's my only problem then I don't have any problems.
Had eye Dr. appt., and the laser surgery I had was more than successful, keeping my vision at 20/40 with no need for glasses. Later a Jack in the box with high fee and am doing three this week since finding the burgers better than before, let's say a 7 out of 10 and fee of 17.00 pretty good since I get the burger for about 6.00 with fries (no coke). Later sitting in the sun and reading....making plans and getting jobs for March trip to Vegas.

I had to leave the house early for a downtown hotel breakfast shop, which is screwing up my timing for the rest of the day.

I got out of bed, drank tea, ate breakfast, did some dishes, and now I'm back in bed, lol. I'm feeling totally lazy. I was going to go shopping but I dont feel like going anywhere. Maybe tomorrow. No work until March, but I'm going to be crazy busy the entire month.
Among other things, I did a credit card shop that was super easy, for a $50 fee. And, the card comes with a $200 bonus that I can easily earn by using it for 3 months (and, of course, paying it off, in full, every month.)

Another bonus, the banker showed me an offer that would refinance my new-used car loan at a MUCH lower interest rate. No costs and (by law, here) no prepayment penalty. I will shop around for comparisons, of course.)

I am guessing that was the BOA shops. I wish they had those shops in my state. I always open it and see that they have tons in other areas.
I've started walking. It used to be that you are supposed to do 10,000 steps but now they say 15,000. OMG. After I do that I have to sleep for a few hours. But I did 18,305.
Jas, you are correct. I just shopped on line and BoA will beat everyone else on the base rate, AND then lower that by 0.25 % because of my customer status. My first task tomorrow will be that online application. Although I pay more than twice as much each month as will be required (just to hurry the payoff) lowering the interest rate by so much will save a very pretty penny while I pay the new loan off.

Welcome back Irene!

So the early job is slightly late-ish. This is probably due to road closures yesterday. Fortunately, I accomplished so much yesterday that losing an hour today won't matter.

Today... a lone storage shop. Haircut. Pick up a few things at the store before the snow starts tomorrow.
A Mardi Gras date night with Hubby at Five Guys (including a shake). They made me a price offer I couldn't refuse!

So the early job was really late, and we did extra work times three. That ate up most of the morning, and I get to make a new plan for the day. Hmmmm..... smiling smiley

I had a perfectly made dirty martini during a shop today. I really enjoy these since the ones I make at home are crap. I still drink them!

On another note, I have seen every crappy move on LMN (Lifetime Movie Network).

Nice about the shop, sorry about the home martini being crap. Might be the olives and olive juice.

I love LMN, it's my guilty pleasure. I haven't had the pleasure lately, but I am binge watching Ray Donovan as I just discovered it about a month ago. I am on season 4 now.
Honny, Are you making sure that your glass is nice and iced up before you pour your martini in it? There's something about that initial icy sip that makes the whole thing taste better. Also, try breaking up your ice cubes if you can or use a small ice (small spaces, not a small tray lol) tray for your cocktails because they shake so much better than the bigger cubes or hunks. It sounds silly, but it can make a difference. Finally, make sure that your olives are actually tasty and so is the juice. There's something about a giant olive from a giant jar of bar olives that just can't be replicated at home. I actually used to buy a pint container of olives out of the giant jar of olives we had at my old bar as soon as it was opened. I forget about getting some more now that I'm not there and am reminded every time you start talking about martinis. =)

I do not ice my glass, only the airport vodka bottles. The olives I used were whatever the grocery store had. I'll get some olive juice from the olive bar at Wegman's next time.

The best martini I made at home was using an anchovy.

Honny, I don't know if I said before during this discussion, but I have several condiments that I love to put in cocktails. I have some Italians anchovies, one in hot pepper oil and one stuffed with capers! It was so good I had to make a dirty martini and I kept adding them to the pick and eating them because they were SO GOOD. I bet yours was awesome!

Since my long time housemate is assisting minister for 2 Ash Wednesday services at her center city church, I will drop her there on my way to my first garage shop. She does not drive and, by bus, it would be a long trip on a cold and rainy day. Earlier this AM, I will be on a long phone session, learning a new MS skill that will help me to earn some of my fees while working from home.

Early job was just right and I was home before sunrise. Woot!
