What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I will be doing homework early in the week since I'm going to my Mom and Dad's on Wednesday.

i had an off-plan breakfast at a restaurant. I used to like all the ingredients in as many configurations as possible. The more the merrier, it was it was! Now, it is... just... meh. I would say that despite all my complaints about Whole 30, I am learning what I should know about me. Today is the last day of the first 30 days. I arrived at Day 30 with an overall 94% compliance rate and in pants that are 1.5 sizes smaller than the ones I wore thirty days ago. (The pants let me wear belts and get a little more wear per size. Stretvhy pants would slide right off, scare the scrap out of people, and be a constant replacement cost.) I will keep going with this and focus more on quality compliant recipes than on adding back some of the eliminated ingredients.

But enough about me. The predicted storm is here. Well, out there. In here, it is time for a movie and the type of workout that can be done while watching a movie. Aaaaahhhhhh.....

I did my ham shop, then cleaned up the mess I made when taking photos and got the house ready for a showing. Right after the cat eats I'll throw him in the car, and we'll go hang out at the park. There will be no time to make dinner, but Hubby made enough last night that we can have leftovers. The ham will have to wait.

My youngest daughter spent the weekend with me, I loved every minute. Saturday morning was MS and then we put the tree up and watched a movie. Sunday was breakfast together, one more great talk and then more MS.
Every single shop today went sideways.

Finishing a report; deep conditioning my dry hair; cleaning out the refrigerator, manicure; calling around to see where I can pick up fresh turkey thighs; smoking a "side" of wild salmon.

No early job until some unknown later time (due to weather). So I slept late, slept off last night's not-a-shop celebratory pizza (yeah, I am a wild one lol!), and am 100% compliant thus far in Day 1 of the next round of cleaner eating. I feel for the schedulers who might have openings this late in the month. Shoppers might be stranded or blocked due to weather conditions near them and near assignments. Shipments of merch supplies might be delayed. My dilemma? Should I build a snow person or clean something? Hmm.....

Snow person ??? Not an option here! It will be nearly 60 F and sunny here today. The gardening housemate will finalize the cutting back of perennials in the small front garden before the cold returns later this week.

Cold, but amazing...question being, will we get a bit of rain or not. They say a huge storm coming through today, so far, no sign, wind yesterday is all. Not much to do today, hang around, fingers crossed that my daughter's flight from Chicago to Greece on Friday will not be delayed or in crisis. Eating too much, and Shop-et-al, good for you, healthy eating does work in every respect. I don't ever crave sugar anymore, a good thing.

I crave coffee. Making some as I type. Good for you, S.E.A. I cleaned the bathroom, and will start dinner right after a fresh cup of coffee. I'm thinking scalloped potatoes with diced sausage and dinner salads.
I had grand ideas of the recipes I was going to make tonight. I ended up eating a Hormel quickie.

I am really liking New Guy. Like floating on gossamer wings liking him! He makes my heart flutter.

Today, I am headed to Philadelphia to spend Thanksgiving with my family. I return on Monday.

A quick run to the grocery store; the manicure that didn't happen yesterday; laundry; making hotel reservations for later hotel shop; sending e-cards for the holiday to a bunch of folks; dropping off a load of toiletries and personal care products at the local shelter; vacuuming floors and baseboards on the main level of the house.

Winter has arrived...it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring (sorry), happy to see rain to clear the air from fires, now we wait for mudslides due to fires. Just got a text wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving from Greece, ah, my daughter is thinking of me. Today meeting friends at SB, chat, and then pick up stuff to make a great chocolate chip cookie recipe I found in this week's People magazine. Later, Owner/scheduler will call for conversation about how many Assisted living homes I can do all in my area, did three out of four, so I know I'll do one next week. Happy Turkey Day to all.

Honny, have a great time in Philly with family!
Irene, so nice that you heard from your daughter, glad she got there safely!
To all....a very very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today, all I am doing (after one bonused PO Shop) is making 3 desserts to take to my niece's for Thanksgiving tomorrow. She and her husband live only 3 miles away, and her parents (my bro & sis in law) have come down South from Mass for the winter. So it will be sort of like a small family reunion. My niece's husband's son and his girlfriend will be there. Should be a nice time!
Work. Nap. Brunch. Nineteen house tasks. One overdue mani-pedi.

Chillin' out right now...still in my PJs. Hubby & I will be going over to my niece and her husband's house in a few hours to have Thanksgiving Dinner over there, and bringing my 3 desserts I made. They only live 3 miles away from me! My older brother and his wife have moved down here for the winter to stay with my niece, so it will be like a small family reunion with them. I'm looking forward to it.

Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings to all here on the Forum!
Went to church, then FaceTime call with Son and family in California. Will go to niece's for dinner later today.

Not getting dressed, comfy, cooking and watching the Macy's parade. Thought of seeing the film Knifes Off with Jamie Lee Curtis, but decided no, it's raining, will instead finish reading my book, have an early dinner, and flake.
Another day in Paradise......

Back home in Chicago. Feels good to be home on Thanksgiving! The resort staff was busy decorating the resort with ribbons and bounty as we were leaving. Had a great time in Cancun. Yesterday, we went on a tour to Chichen Itza, one of the wonders of the world. Got to see Mayan culture up close. Incredible marketplace. I got a healing stone made of volcanic lava and local tamarind snacks. Now, a modest meal for Thanksgiving would do.
Shell shocked from a trip to Wally World...

I am NOT a Black Friday shopper, but when we thought our house would be sold before Christmas I took my big tree to Goodwill. Today I went to At Home and bought a tiny 6-foot tall one that will be perfect in the condo we're moving into. It looked puny in our current living room, so I set it on a box and covered the box and base with a fleece throw that also jumped into my basket at the store.

Midday I got a scheduler email about a hotel bar shop tonight. Asked Hubby if he wanted to go, and he got SO excited :-) We will be having a reimbursed meal and drinks instead of paying for our own.

Brave me!! After returning from Mexico, I still went at 8:30 in the morning for any deals that I could find. Some things were ordered online while a few were purchased at the store. Got a nice Christmas tree from Target and some great boots from Kohls online.

On Thanksgiving night, we went to Wally World to get a mouse (I am old school and my old mouse died). We came home with a hundred dollars of groceries! I think my face was frozen in a perpetual bewilderment until about midnight. The number of people, the number of employees, the astonishing placement of products, the long personal conversations in the aisles, the surprisingly collision-free navigation throughout the store... it was amazing for this curmudgeon who is pretty sure that Black Friday is not a thing, regardless of what all the ads say about it... My fave was the diligent employee who worked steadily to fill displays of audio visual stuff. These spanned the entire cheese case and blocked access to the cheese. Customers were thrilled and picked up AV thing after AV thing and cleared half the displays within minutes. I tried to think of it fairly. on the one hand, when stores are this crowded, we might not want lactose intolerant cheese addicts in there. It is a good idea to limit their access to the cheese and, if possible, to the milk, yogurt, and ice cream. On the other hand, what if some people will be ill or die without cheese that they desperately need? I did not know of anyone in this category, and that was the end of the silly matter.

Today was more typical, thank G.

My Mom hates crowds, so we will do our Black Friday shopping on Saturday. I bought a Fire Stick for my not so smart TV. That was the extent of my shopping today.

Been in Texas for 6 days visiting relatives. The hotel we are staying at is about 7 miles from that chemical plant that blew up early Wednesday morning. Scared the crap out of us, shook the hotel and sounded like a bomb went off. They evacuated a lot of people within 4 miles, including one of my aunts. She got to go home today. We leave for Mexico Sunday, I can't wait! My eyes, nose and throat have been irritated from the chemicals in the air, ugh. I don't know how my family can stand living here.
Closed roads mean no early job. I slept! A shipped merch supply probably will be delayed. A delay will affect next week's work. Oh, well. Who needs planning, organization, and sleep?!

I have lots of e-mails for early and extended Black Friday deals. I guess that can be true if Friday means Friday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday Tuesday, and Wednesday. *spineyes*

But in excellent news, some clothing is too big now, and I get to replace it. This will be fun!

I'm trying to schedule shops. Hopefully people are out for the holidays and I catch ones I want!
