What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I have had my "cheapie" Hamilton Beach Crock pot going on five years and it never boils, always a simmer cooking evenly, but I never overload it...usually put my meat or chicken on for six hours and never had a bad meal, always delicious, easy to clean, so much better tasting than the oven. I bought it at Kohl's with a 30% off coupon (that's my style), and certainly got my use out of it.

Today brings many phone calls and paper work for personal stuff. ...will go to Vons later and pick up their $5.00
Friday special Rotessere chicken and have that through the weekend along with my Tortilla soup and french bread. Nothing planned, but our weather is super, in the mid 70's and we had a warning of high winds, but they bi--passed us, may pop into Kohl's, have another 30% off and want some winter jammies. Happy Friday all...

Hello, I am in Tennessee exploring the smokies as well this week. I am a bit nervous to record a timeshare presentation here . Any tips? They have me the same thing as an incentive
"Recovering" from my short air and rail vacation. Came home to 1200+ emails to sort through, and with a bit of a sleep deficit. In Minneapolis my MS friend and her husband and I spent a long sunny afternoon walking the city's outdoor sculpture garden, and a long evening at their kitchen table eating pizza and drinking a little wine while playing Trivial Pursuit. Their home appears to be ideal for the Airbnb business that they are running (PM me if you are headed that way, please). Her husband is retired and can handle that alone when she is on routes of up to 2 weeks. Tomorrow will be a day of personal errands before I go back to MS on Monday.

Watching a veritable mountain of merch boxes disappear... At the end of these projects (assuming that I am still ambulatory) I will need the deep stretch, the chiro, and another nine or twelve of the deep stretch.

Welcome back wales! That was a great idea to finish chili in the oven.

Work. Scoop up augmented storm day kit because mandatory extra work is hours away via predicted storm. The good news? A happy conundrum: Which sweater shall I wear? I love all of them!

Going to 2 Kohl's locations to collect ordered items. How I managed to send them to 2 different locations is anybody's guess. I sure do not know ! Re-enrolling in Kohl's rewards program at one of the stops and opening a cc account. Later, grocery shopping at Aldi and the other HUGE grocery chain. (Where we buy only what aldi does not supply, plus some meats.)

Hopefully going to Studio City to a nice consignment shop to deliver good stuff for sale. Coffee there with good friend, home to exchange a pair of jeans bought at Ross, seems their too big, good news, losing weight....that's what happens when you ghost those nasty burger shops......looking forward to finish reading gift from my daughter for my B-day, "Necessary Losses" by Judith Voist.

No school this week! Next week, I start the last of my two classes.

My MS is going to be in Project Management and Operations. The last three classes I took were basically the same project courses. The first of the 3 classes, I took great notes and used them for the next two classes. This last ckass, I hardly opened the text.

Work (eventually). The early job is quite late; therefore, it is Sunday. Or something like that.

Anyway, it is cooking day, merch day, and complete one or two of the endless tasks day.

Cooking for the week, including making a big pot of chicken soup. Laundry. If the heavy rain lets up, I may drive to the dealership to collect the license plates for my new-to-me car. If not, later this week.

Looking at a promising condo, ten doing the weekly produce run on the way home. Catching up on paperwork. Maybe cutting the grass.

Finished up a giant report from a shop yesterday. I can't figure out why they want so much narrative when they have video. Not complaining, the money was worth it. I'm getting ready to start some home made chicken noodle soup. A starving cat came up on our porch. he was in really bad condition. I took him a can of cat food and he ate the whole thing. We'll have to think about how to help him, he wasn't tame. Took a big road trip with a friend yesterday to do the aforementioned video, we had a lot of fun. She is just full of stories and had never been to West VA before. She was fascinated with the coal mining machinery, most of which looks ancient.
Last week, I volunteered at the food bank at my church. There was a new volunteer. One of the church members got matchmaker eyes and sent us into a back room to deconstruct the bags. The conversation throughout the morning was very intriguing and engaging and other -ings that had me digging him all week. Being the newly divorced punk that I am, I left without saying goodbye.

Guess who showed up at church today? We exchanged numbers.

Happy Monday!

I think my innards were pretzeled during the night (impossible to get comfy on hotel bed). So this is my dilemma: should I be plain, salted, dipped in mustard, sprinkled with sugary cinnamon, or what?!

Heading up the road for a nice 3 hour drive to see my son, DIL and 2 grandbabies for about 3 days...WOO-HOO!!
Washing and drying my shop shirt to prep for another tomorrow. Getting groceries laid in to prep for several busy days of shopping and reports. My life seems to revolve around shopping!

My book club, the same one I did my gun class with, is having a pumpkin carving party on Saturday. The "What Will You Bring" conversation went from Pumpkin Spice coolers to Salted Caramel martinis very quickly.

Dude I'm talking to asked what book we were reading. The response was "The Art of Carving Schnockered."

Today brought in Laptop, and the owner fixed my problem in 30 seconds....did I feel dumb, three guess's.
Library visit, took out "Gluten-Free on a budget, and "I don't have to to make everything all better" . Barnes/Noble visit where I bought Ronan Farrow's new book "Catch and Kill"...I think he is brilliant and looking forward to reading this afternoon. Wind is back, carts in Ralphs going all over the place, our town has underground utilities, so power doesn't go out here, but warnings are there....better safe than not.

Your book club sounds pretty awesome!
Last winter, when I was still bartending, my signature cocktail was the salted caramel martini. It's what made me look at Rumchata in a whole nother way. Cheers!

So I was looking at a degree program. This would lead to a type of job that I have not performed since before the tech revolution began. The curriculum must be modified for me. I absolutely will not take certain courses in the same semester!!!!! ! However, I can sprinkle my personal 'spook' courses into my elective-rich semesters and sail through to victory. I need to find out if this method is acceptable...

Are you okay? Did you have to evacuate?

When I lived in WLA, we were affected by wires in the Hollywood Hills. We didn't have to evacuate, but the ash fell for weeks after.
