k. I was just wondering because I did not know how old anyone was. Sometimes, people have hormones that are so far out of whack that hormonal intervention is needed for menses and conception. Moving on... So today when I was grocery shopping (not a shop) at 5:30 AM because the early job was on time, I picked up a magazine that featured a liver cleanse. According to the lead article, switching to 50% veggies and utilizing chromium and/or l-glutamine will assist the liver in its processing fucntions which include handling hormones. [Post-menopause and hormones were referenced here recently.] The chromium and glutamine reportedly help with cravings. Everyone should get their own advice from their own medical resources. I gleaned: we might crave and chronically be using processed foods, sugars, salts, and caffeine to keep us going because our livers are not efficient and we are not fully nourished by whatever we are eating. Improving what we ingest makes the liver's work easier. We stop flooding our systems with toxins. We are able to eat in a cleaner way, and we might not miss the caffeine and the processed foods. I am not a paid or voluntary spokesperson for this magazine. I merely mention the article because it might be of interest to some people. I am not superstitious, but some people might say it is not just a coincidence that a few days ago, I found (in a thrift store) a plate with designated portion sizes for proteins, veggies, etc. I did not buy the plate, but today I recalled that the green "veggie" section comprised half of the plate. A Doctor Haas was mentioned in the article. He says that lentils and beans are good. I like them in soups, and a little lemon there might substitute for lemon water. Just thinking outside the plate...
