What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Just got back from the dentist. I look like a freak, my whole left side of my face is swollen, but I don't feel a thing. For now. I do have vicodin for tonight so I can sleep. YAY.

Sorry Jas, hate the dentist, but tomorrow you'll be new again. Today did errands, bank, Macy's, home to do laundry, house stuff and tonight doing my favorite restaurant, three months has gone by....I love their food and their heafty reimbursement. This isn't a chain but is going from one to now five....all in L.A., always busy out the door lines, great service, the best and run by woman....smiling smiley I eat their on my own which say's a lot for them.

Tomorrow I have the appointment (I just made it) for the root canal consultation. My dentist doesn't do them so I had to find someone who does ASAP before it turns into an abscess. Thank you for the well-wishes, though.
Vicodin pairs so well with red wine! "Experts" say not to mix vicodin and alcohol, but they were so wrong. Enjoy and sweet dreams!

Enjoying the temporary view. Now, there are larger empty spaces between smaller blotches of project stuff. At this time next week, there will be several project-free zones.

Still sleepy from a late-in-the-day merch thing. But I worked and worked out and will finish the laundry. I really need to glue my assignments into a two-hour time frame...

I bought a Tory Burch dress and the matching shoes from their website for my brother's wedding. The wedding didn't happen, so I wore the dress for pleasure. I took it to the cleaners and they lost the belt. That ruined the entire outfit.

I lit into them. I contacted Tory Burch to find out what my options were. They sent me links for $200 belts to purchase. No. The cleaners turned their store upside down looking for this belt.

Tory Burch sent me an email yesterday letting me know that they will replace the dress as a courtesy.

Talk about customer service! I am a customer for LIFE!

Great honny, good company. I remember I sent an expensive white cotton blouse to the laundry and they lost it.
We waited a couple months and thought it was given to someone else. They asked how much it cost and I said 50.00 (true), and they gave me cash. Six months later, I go to the cleaners and they had the blouse, but the different cashier knew nothing about it, and I paid to get it out, my lips were sealed.

JAS, yeah. I was astounded!

When I say they have a customer for life, I mean it. They replaced an entire dress for one missing belt.

This morning the usual errands and a return at Macy's, if only I had remembered to bring it. Grocery to use my newly received coupons, so bill was $27.54 and with coupons and two freebies (almond milk/fruit bars) and a dollar off frozen fruit + many more brought the bill down to $18.37....at a point where I don't need The Source. and no reports/questions has been a good thing. Made dentist Appt. for cleaning which they won't do without ex-ex-rays and such.......give me a break. Home to vacum air conditioner space as we had a bee's nest on the roof and a few fell into that space...ugh!!

When I got back from my walk this morning, there were two calls from a recovery (repo) company. Thinking that my ex used me as an alternate contact, I called them back. It was for an on-site inspection and they wanted to reschedule.

After my audit, I went to the grocery store and they had these frozen protein shrimp cakes (10 g of protein per cake). I had tried them before because they were on sale for $1.99 a box (regularly $6.99 a box). They are very similar to crab cakes, but they have edamame and spinach in the stuffing along with really nice, fresh-tasting shrimp. They were still running the sale of $1.99 a box. I bought 15 boxes, LOL! I also bought some lump crab meat that was on sale for $12.99 a pound. I think I will make some stuffed mushrooms and some seafood chowder with it. Oh, and they had Cheetos on sale for $1.77 a bag (my hubby's favorite snack) so I bought him 5 bags.
Amazing JAS! Which market? I could never buy 5 bags of Cheeto's. I don't have that much self control.

They have a "sell buy" date of May 2020. I think we can probably eat them all by then. There are only 2 cakes per box.
I bought the Cheetos at Giant Eagle. It's hubby's thing, I rarely eat them. He goes through about a bag a week, he has pretty good self-control. I will eat them when we make burgers or sandwiches as a side, but we don't do that very often.
Giant Eagle is a regional grocer in Ohio and PA. I don't think they are in any other states.

All that really must happen on this day: work, extra work, cook & eat at home, work out, and work with plants. Everything else can wait. Tomorrow IS soon enough for a pedi and a car wash. so... i ratchet it down, breeeaaattthhheee iiiiinnnnnn..... and ooooouuuuuuttttt...

All of this talk of dentistry makes me wonder if anyone has done any dentist shops....

Today I'm doing nothing but messing around with my garden tower. It's been so dry and despite watering it every day, the soil is still crazy dry and my lettuces are wilting. I can't wait for the fall!

It's so beautiful here in NE Ohio today, I think it's only about 76 degrees with a few clouds. Might have to go sit by the lake and have a few beers later. I did have some fillings replaced this morning and all went smoothly. I did an audit after that and now am eating some yogurt and fresh blueberries...
I had seen some video dentist shops a few years ago but never did one. It was before I got my video equipment.
They paid pretty well, I think it was $200? Haven't seen any since.

I have done 2 of them. You basically get a reimbursed cleaning and x-rays. The video part was all about the pre- and post-treatment handling of disclosures and payment options, and the audio picked up on professional conduct of the staff during treatment, so having the video cam covered during the procedure was not a problem. Pay was about $200 and, of course, you could have your x-rays if you wanted to take them to your own dentist.

I woke up at some ridiculous hour this morning. I did an insomnia shop at WaWa, dropped my hoagie off at home, and then volunteered at the food bank at my church. After that was random running around.

We went to the bar on the lake and had a bucket of beers, ran into my husband's cousin and his wife and hung out, watched the sunset over the lake and had some appetizers (dinner). It was really nice.
The ridiculous hour and insomnia shop (which I have no idea what that really means) seem to go hand in hand, eh?
