After 2 reports, groceries and then hauling in supplies for the basement apartment and doing some inventory of what is already on hand down there. Making 2 hotel reservations for shops. Learning how to set up outgoing payment on Zelle.

Based on how it started, I think today might be one of those days. I have to call and reschedule a targeted apartment shop (due to my mistake). When I logged into the e-edition of the local newspaper, it still displayed yesterday's (so nothing to read with my breakfast). And, to top it off, one of the cats peed just outside the litter box again. Sheesh!

I hope all my bad luck has clustered itself together and is now finished for the day.

Platinum blonde? I love blonde, but I do not have a platinum blonde soul. I have a caramel, honey, tawny, not so much sort of blonde soul to go with my highlights.

So there was no extra work today. It feels weird not to have that, as if an appendage has gone missing, or something. What will I do with all of this free time????? Well, laundry. Plants. Find out how long it takes this long, straight hair to become 80s style boofy and big. I have not done this for years and years and years. Today is a good day for that. I estimate that it will take the time of one dryer load. But who knows.

Still trying to login to my yesterday's job....huge problem, as one worker knows nothing about the other and I guess speaking isn't in there vocabulary. No work until tomorrow and not trying to get anything, so over it.
(except the good restaurants), no Jack in the ___ doesn't count and not in my diet any longer....but thanks for the high numbers.

Going back to IL after a week long vacation. The long trip to KY and TN was definitely worth it. Tomorrow will be lots of cleaning and laundry.
It's been something I have been thinking about for a while.

What happened to our "like" button?

I'm working on my final yesterday, today, tomorrow and Sunday. I got the bulk of the text written yesterday.

Nice lunch for two Lucille's BBQ at our mall and home preparing for house stuff this weekend., and trip to SF Tuesday, will be doing a couple jobs on the way home at SFO Airport. They have a Mustard's (fabulous) restaurant from the wine country in Sonoma. Never ate better, thank you MS'ing. Extreme heat , maybe a splash in the pool if time permits.

On the way back from shops I stopped at Home Goods for stuff for the Airbnb: Got more towels and wash cloths, skirt hangers, plus a nice large abstract of flowers to hang in the bedroom. Walked from one garage shop to a neat thrift shop and picked up a nifty AM/FM clock radio with a jack for some sort of music player, for $3. Like new. When I first furnished that space for long term rental, I was short on cash and figured that most folks would prefer to choose their own wall art and nic nacs. Now I need to make the space look HGTV "remake pretty" for the pictures on their site. So, I had lots of basics in the place and am now adding "trimmings."

Funny how the forum for Airbnb hosts sometimes reminds me a lot of our forum. New hosts are resentful the being a host is a "real job." Others refuse to treat it as a business. Resentment of client (i.e. Airbnb) rules is pretty common. ALSO.... Didn't these folks realize that the laws of the land would apply? The Europeans get agitated over EU privacy rules that mean that they cannot demand pictures of travel documents. Americans seem surprised that when renting a 4 bedroom house they cannot refuse families with children. Duh! And, like MS forum posts, it looks like it will be pretty easy to spot the posters whose half-life as hosts will be very short.

Dryer repair person is due soon. It is a bit spendy to fix the old thing, but the cost is considerably less than new or renting. We were praised for having the old machine. Think the logic went something like this... It is old; therefore, someone can fix it soon (and reasonably inexpensively)

I do love some of the features on new machines: steam cleaning, matching risers, shiny & pretty....

My cable and internet went out today. Verizon will be here on Sunday to fix it at no cost to me. I have shops tomorrow and Sunday that will have to be reported from my phone.

I picked a tomato today. I will wait until the habaneros start to turn orange before I picke those. Basil is ready.

Windowsill salad is right around the corner!

Phase one of dye job: no gray is covered and dark hair is now light brown. Next bleach in a week or two.

Re-arranging a room. Finally! Twelve years later, the hubby agrees that it is a good to idea to use available vertical space. It takes a few minutes to complete the task. It took twelve years to sell the idea.

Considering distant shops. These will require an entire day (24 hours! due to travel. We will need to hire a sub to work for us here. We cannot afford to hire subs for more days and jobs, so we cannot spread out the shops and add other assignments. I have no idea what kind of bonus money is available, but I know that I need lots and lots of money to do those shops. Hmm.

Must take the eyeglasses for an adjustment. They fell; I stepped on them. *oops* Thank g they are intact and only need a little wiggle, or something, to get back in shape.

Shop-et-al, lots and lots of money is a good thing!

LOL!grinning smiley

But an actual dollar amount is even better. The lowest fuel cost for one city per day is at least $89.00. This is not a lot of money. Fee plus bonus plus $89 plus $? for time, effort, and years of experience = I have no idea. I am not good at this. How much would you charge beyond the $89?

I did an insomnia shop at WaWa, then volunteered at the church food bank, and a Freecycle bookcase pickup. I had to reschedule my shops due to no internet. I thought I would do them from my phone, but the 10 minute WaWa report took 4 hours!

Enjoying the very early morning before the late/early job. Typically, the job starts late on Sundays. Sometimes, I sleep until the last minute on the late-start Sundays. Today, i got up early because I want to enjoy the peace and quiet of early AM. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh....

It's not even 10:00am and it's 88 "but feels like 93" and it's only going to get worse. I can deal with heat, it's the 80% humidity I'm not a fan of. That being said, I think I might just sit in the living room with the air blasting and binge watch some tv and see if there's any companies I haven't signed up for or haven't checked on in a while.

Shopping the South Jersey Shore
Because of our 4H weather in July (hazy, hot, humid and hellish) I am organizing the remaining July shops to minimize the time that I need to walk more than about 1 block during a shop, or on personal errands. We need to add a 5th H, for horrid air quality at times like this. I am in one of the groups advised to severely limit outdoor activity at such times. And on those days, the dreaded 6th H (housework) is my sorry lot in like. lol

Today was church, the dollar store to pick up some batteries, a wine run and back home to wait for Verizon.

My internet and cable were out because a switch at the main hub was turned off. I'm back online!

Last night I went to church and did the Costco run, so today there was NOTHING on my calendar! Can't remember the last time that happened. Thoroughly read the newspaper, extra time getting creative with lunch, did some yard work. I did have to run to Aldi for a couple of things mid-afternoon.

Went to a lake with old friends, had a picnic with them. Played volleyball against a "younger" team and held our own smiling smiley

Dipped our feet in the lake, spend the day eating good food, talking, and enjoying the company of our friends.

Easy day here. Will find out about the latest thyroid antics. Mine is wonderful and appreciated and beloved-- and a little quirky. The tiny tasks are to clean the car, sort a few containers of stuff, and check out this week's merch stuff & tasks. That's it! smiling smiley

Going to have my teeth cleaned in a bit. Might do some ironing later...ugh, hate ironing! But some of hubby's shirts have wrinkles that won't come out unless ironed. Easy day.
Dentist Appointment this morning, but first coffee at SB with my group, lots of talk about politics (we're all Democrats), kids, weather and stuff. Home to continue getting rid of stuff, staying in...too hot to meandor.
Tomorrow have an early flight to visit sister and relatives in San Francisco, all going to the home she's in (Alzheimers) for a visit, then exploring Stanford's huge mall near my sister in Palo Alto and a dinner at Mustard's at SFO airport and home.very late.

When I volunteered at the food bank on Saturday, I put together a bag of food for a homeless panhandler I see at the gas station. I gave it to him today.

My insomnia shops are catching up to me. The one this morning threw my whole day off.

Hiding inside my house. While drunk and crazy tenant moves out next door. Avoiding confrontation. He chose not to observe the no pets rule. Got his eviction notice yesterday and he's moving today. So, it was actually pretty easy.
