So. As promised, I sorted, cleaned, and read. At the end of the day, I am ecstatic because I finished several ginormous projects. My back can describe just how big and weighty they were. Can you say, twitch, burn, buzz, ache, and gaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh? But the rest of me feels wonderful. I even feel good about the fact that my purses are empty now. I don't even mind that my couch is buried under the contents of eleven purses. Eleven! Casual people do not need eleven purses. They just don't.

Today was a wonderful waste. A shop in a mall was a bust, so I went to Macy's and did some serious damage. On my way to the shop, I stopped by Popye's. Again, I did some damage. What a day!

A line of storms brought in a cool front, so tonight the air conditioner went off and the windows were opened.

New day. Fewer projects, more reading, and more time on the porch. Nice!

*eta*

Not. Working through various items revealed a need to replace and update... which means no time for reading and no time to spend on the porch. Bleh.

Washing the windows in the house, inside and out. The job is long overdue.

I always enjoy being able to open the windows and turn off the air, too! Too hot right now here in SC to do that, but usually in the Fall and early Spring.
I went for my walk this morning and ran into a neighbor. She's a member of my church. We ended up walking together, and she showed me a new trail. Our walk was about 3 hours!

Took a walk on the trails in my development, then a quick trip to Nordstrom's rack where I found the cutest navy blouse marked down from 65.00 to 10.99....home before doing damage as they had the cutest shoes, not inexpensive. Looking for work beside the 5 restaurants I got for next week and baking a Cornish hen. Called
Salvation Army for pickup, so, finishing my giveaway small or old clothes and small appliances for them to do whatever. May go to AT@T for a lesson on phone, we'll see.

Very pleased with my recent efforts. Many projects are finished forever (Huzzah!) and others are nearly there. Again, Huzzah! It has been almost eleven months since the leg injury which was painful and slowed me down for such a long time and prevented me from continuing projects for that time frame. Now. I am catching up with myself and losing those boring old projects. Can anyone stand yet another Huzzah! ? grinning smiley

So I get to visit with known fave authors and find new ones, visit the beloved wide open spaces, and sit on the porch. (It is possible to complete several workout types there. This makes exercising enjoyable.)

I'm planning my first summer foray into i cream making. I use erythritol for a sugar substitute, half and half and add flavorings from there. My first experiment will be lemon blackberry. Of course I will use real black berries but will cheat a little by adding mio lemonade drops.
Woke up happy, weather 79ish, flowers blooming their little heads off, having my coffee and the 31st, checks come in (personal). Last day of not working, busy starting tomorrow, so today more bumming around, feeding the cute duckies, popping into our Mexican grocery store for their Friday,Saturday,Sunday sale and more. Lowe's at some point, need light bulbs and stuff..daughter texted to say she spoke to Dad for an hour, he told her about his childhood, that's what Alzheimer's does, you remember years ago, lose short term memory, even under these sad circumstances, we've gotten closer, glad she takes time to make both of us happy. Don't want, will not remain in house for another day,
world here I come...

Lannie and went for a walk about 1 mile fown to a small papa and mama place to have breakfast since there was nothing in the house. We hope to hire a cab to take food shoping tomorrow or later today.

This is the most difficult disease and the third person I'm losing to it...my sister to Dementia (I had to put her in a home), now she has it and is totally out of it, really heartbreaking.

If I had a clue I;d try to make it with my Almond milk, going to Food network for a receipt...any tips.

My veggie plants are making progress. The arugula has some flowers. The tomato plant is flowering, and so is the pea plant. There aren't a lot of flowers, but enough to make me see progress.

I pruned the tomato plant and pulled a dead stem from the pea plant. As I put the stem in the compost bag, I saw a green pod! I looked on the plant and saw another one forming.

@CoffeeQueen have you tried Stevia? I grow it and use it for tea, but I buy the baking mix which is real cane sugar mixed with stevia for an awesome flavor.

Shopping the South Jersey Shore
Work. Grocery store. Enjoy new-to-me recommended author.
If you hear the universe laughing, don't worry. It might be laughing at me-- when I make my second attempt with the intro to belly dancing workout. Oh, my...

Dancing (any kind) is a good fun workout...belly dancing.... for me it's West Coast swing. Summertime here the Hyatt Hotel blocks the street and good musicans in L.A. come up and perform every Friday night with dancing in the street, great community fun and free, sponsered by Mercedes Benz. Rick Springfield is giving a concert at College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center in town, stopping to pick up tickets. for Sept. Love summer, many good concerts all summer, but hot as h__.

Today doing my weekend grocery and lunch....

I have not tried it with almond milk. I have discovered though that some things just won't freeze. I did a York peppermint patty batch last summer that wouldn't freeze. I can only assume it was something in the candy. It was delicious though.
I would think just do a batch and see what you think. I have more fun with my ice cream maker in the summertime.

I did try stevia but i had to use so much of it. I tried nearly every artificial sweetener out there and the natural ones too like Stevia. I settled on the erythritol because it has no after taste. I really can't tell the difference between it and real sugar. I buy the bags that measure like real sugar. It's expensive but worth it.

I'm very interested in growing some though, is it hard? I use it for coffee and tea.

CoffeeQueen, I tried growing stevia a couple of years ago. It did well, but I found the drying process tedious and not worth it for me.

I made a mango sorbet in my ice cream machine. With ripe mangoes and no sugar added, it was a healthy and sumptuous dessert.
It just a quite day , Jeff is at work from 9.30 AM until midnight today so It just the two of us at home. I did one fast shop this monrning. I had to full out the reporrt before I go to bed.
So the early job is not happening early today. We have not heard even an inkling of a start time, and we will still be out there after the sun comes up. Must bring sunscreen!

So, is sunscreen a deductible expense for people who work outdoors during daylight hours?

I pruned my windowsill salad plants yesterday. I will be having windowsill salad meals this week!
