I always enjoy being able to open the windows and turn off the air, too! Too hot right now here in SC to do that, but usually in the Fall and early Spring.@KathyG wrote:
A line of storms brought in a cool front, so tonight the air conditioner went off and the windows were opened.
This is the most difficult disease and the third person I'm losing to it...my sister to Dementia (I had to put her in a home), now she has it and is totally out of it, really heartbreaking.@Mum wrote:
@Irene_L.A. Your post made me teary eyed for some reason. Makes me think of an old saying "What the mind can't remember, the heart never forgets".
If I had a clue I;d try to make it with my Almond milk, going to Food network for a receipt...any tips.@CoffeeQueen wrote:
I'm planning my first summer foray into i cream making. I use erythritol for a sugar substitute, half and half and add flavorings from there. My first experiment will be lemon blackberry. Of course I will use real black berries but will cheat a little by adding mio lemonade drops.

@CoffeeQueen have you tried Stevia? I grow it and use it for tea, but I buy the baking mix which is real cane sugar mixed with stevia for an awesome flavor.

I did try stevia but i had to use so much of it. I tried nearly every artificial sweetener out there and the natural ones too like Stevia. I settled on the erythritol because it has no after taste. I really can't tell the difference between it and real sugar. I buy the bags that measure like real sugar. It's expensive but worth it.
I'm very interested in growing some though, is it hard? I use it for coffee and tea.
