What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Very grateful for my diy mani/pedi. No grumbling here... only a desire for better diy tools! grinning smiley

Irene, I used to live in a town that had real traffic. Now, I live where rush hour traffic takes fifteen minutes on a busy day and the graduation speakers never need secret service or hold up traffic.

I wasn't talking about my town in the subs...I was talking about working in the heart of the city yesterday....very different where I live....not a meter in our city, tons of parking and open spaces, but built up enough so I have a Western bagel and Macy's....many fruit stands prevail on the back roads.

Today was lazy day, computer play, movie, reading magazines and out for a nice fish lunch.

Headed to local Country Boy store for locally produced mulch and dirt for the garden. May also pick up some annuals. They beat the prices at all other garden store for flowers, soil and mulch.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Doing a bank, then a quick lunch, then a quick look at Nordstrom rack which recently opened and home. Not sure about afternoon, whatever comes up or relaxing on my new patio and enjoying spring flowers with a book.

I have a big garden project planned for next year. I was in Ace Hardware and saw these beautiful lavender plants. There is a small garden filled with weeds and mulch by my patio that I want to have filled with lavender bushes by next summer.

Out of town for a state-wide business meeting of a group I belong to. Will return on Sunday.

Finished making plans for trip to Chicago for my B-day visit with my daughter, meeting her very handsome, successful boyfriend, can't wait. They have season tickets to plays and concerts, great food, their amazing Macy's and see how her neighborhood has grown since Google went in, much to do, so a good time is had by all.
Today brings my weekend grocery shops and a big box, weather permitting, a couple hours at the pool.

Hope it will be a great time for you, Irene!

Today, I'm just browsing the Forum, then I do the online version of the Thomas Joseph crossword puzzle, along with the "7 little words" online puzzle...they're fun. I do them every day after reading the Forum each morning! Then later, my usual Saturday housecleaning, and dessert baking for the coming week. A beautiful, warm Saturday here in SC...in the 80s!
I went for a walk in my neighborhood first thing this morning. When I got back, I did homework and stuff around the house.

Today is church, errands after, and working on my final. I have some shredded chicken in the fridge. I might make a stir fry for dinner.

Today is church our church has breakfast very so often today is one of those days so I will eat there this morning. Then after church we will go to a family reunion for my hubby side of the family. On the way I have one shop to do . That is my day.
Church this morning, then home getting Sunday dinner ready for hubby & myself (and the dog, too!!). Then just rest and relaxing till we go back to church tonight.
After being gone for nine days I was home for four days, then left again for a weekend meeting. Now that I'm back for the foreseeable future I need to get my annuals bought and in the ground.

I had coffee with a friend, did a quick shop, came home and mowed the backyard. Made a pot of Navy bean soup and now relaxing watching TV.
I got a beautiful sofa and love seat from Freecycle. I saw an Ethan Allen sofa on there on Saturday. I found a short haul mover who could do it the next day, so I tried to arrange it for after church, 1pm. The mover wanted 11am. I contacted the Freecycler, but she didn't get back to me. I checked Freecycle again, and there was a sofa and love seat. I contacted that person, and they were good with 11am. The delivery was actually flawless.

I have a shop tomorrow at Ace Hardware. I'm getting my lavender plant.

After completing my 3 shops this afternoon, went home and cooked supper. After supper I had a brain MRI scheduled, and done. So cool that I could get it scheduled for this evening! Got it done at 6:30 pm. I've got this 11 mm benign meningioma in the front part of my brain that was discovered back in 2015, after I'd been having a bad round of headaches. And, after having just gone through chemo & radiation for breast cancer in 2013/14, I didn't want to take any chances! So, the neurologist said these are not all that uncommon, and there's no telling how long it's been there, so we'll just keep checking it. So I had one done in 2015,16, & 17, and then waited for two years, till tonight. It's encased/encapsulated in calcium! Anyhow, I'll see my neurologist in June to find out the results. Hope that little bugger doesn't grow!
WOW! I'm amazed that, after all of that, you are happy to schedule the MRI in the evening!

guys, my fingers, eyes, toes and legs are crossed twice that the little bugger doesn't grow.

Thanks so much for the kind thoughts, Honny! I am definitely not a morning person!! So anytime I can get anything scheduled in the late afternoon or evening, I'm all for it! I pre-registered on the phone, got there at 6, was called back at 6:15 pm, and was totally done and out of there by 7 pm!! Was home by 7:30. So that was all cool! This facility got a new MRI machine, and it takes a bit less time to do than two years ago because of the new machine.
I wish you best guysmom, good thoughts and prayers....
This morning found me getting accepted for a Wyndham two night stay at a charming beach town up the coast.
I've been bringing old clothes down to the garage, today will be giving them to Goodwill and starting to straighten up my garage. Went up a size, so yesterday saw me buying a few new things. , just in time for summer white pants and light tops with a cute light jacket, and shoes for my worn out tootsies. Home is the name of the day.

Checked job two hours later and it had been cancelled due to no dates available....these Wyndham Timeshares.

Been busy with projects, going into nature, and getting more rest. Next Up: a few merch days. If all goes well, the early job will be truly early/on time and I will have time to venture even a little beyond work sites and visit the beloved wide open spaces.(Was I born in the wrong century? Was I meant to be a troglodyte?)

Yay! We just added lots of extra work! This is a good thing. It is for the fave job, and it happens during my best time of the day. Woot!

Did a beauty salon product shop at a fancy place. When the stylist started washing my hair I asked her to use the target brand. She told me she wasn't a fan of that brand, and actually preferred a different one. Needless to say she did NOT offer me any of the brand's hair treatments, but I got a fabulous blow dry and style out of it.

I am at loose ends today , this is my frist Weds without a Bible study to go go. We always take the summer off . So no study until the 4th of September. I do have a loop of shops I have to do one I do every month. Since it pay day for hubby I wil try to get a nonth meal plan done so I can get shopping for it.
Weather cooled down, will walk this morning, then window shop have coffee out, and home to do a few things, then catering to my nice scheduler at The Source doing a "have to get it done" grocery in the next town over,
will find something interesting for dinner, although if I get any more food, I'll need another Fridge., then pop into Marshall's while there....I really don't like the weekday groceries due to the late time your allowed to shop, four to eight. ...oh a trip to Best Buy to help get to the next level with my phone, meaning fix my skype.

That 4-8 thing sucks. There are lots in a town close to me but I can't do a route and fight traffic and get more than 3 done. Not worth it.

I had a shop at 4am. I am still trying to bounce back from it. My next shop is down the street at 4pm.
