@HonnyBrown, what a bummer! In a new place and already a major repair bill sad smiley

@7star...yeah, we moved two years ago and it seemed so much easier. Guess I was just that much younger and in shape. This time, things seemed heavier and there seems to be more....and similar to you, even though it's not down two floors, it's just two streets over....

My husb is a state trooper and he was with the trooper who was killed in the snowstorm that hit last week. That's making him lethargic and not "into" moving, and understandably so. I need to get in touch with his supervisor (because he won't) and find out what they will do to help him. (time off/counseling) Also this brand new house has so many issues....I'm starting to think we should have walked away and forgone our earnest money and loan lock deposit, so that makes the move more onerous.
Honny,
That price makes me think that you need to do some research into what capacity heat pump you really need for your condo. To me, that price sounds like it would be for a capacity for a much larger property.

Also, I would definitely shop Costco and the Sear "bump and dent" shop before making a final decision. If you are not a Costco member, just let me know and I will research their installed price for the size unit you decide that you need. Then, if that is a good deal for you, the $60 annual membership will more than pay for itself.

Whew. Offloaded a boatload of extra stuff from the extra work. That is now manageable.

Today is the big day. We begin the process of finding out what, exactly, happened when I fell on the ice. I hope the fix is not expensive....

How awful! Sending thoughts, prayers, and good karma your way. Hope things get better soon.

I received a call from the apartment community I was going to shop today, saying they had to close the office all day for an emergency. All of a sudden my calendar was completely clear! So far I've cleaned the bathrooms and removed soap scum from the shower doors. I need to come up with something else to do, or else I'll fritter the day away on the computer.

wales, I did research on home warranties!

I got the price from the auditor, who gave me a "ballpark, based on what he heard." Another friend also said it sounded high.

Sick again after recovering. Doctor says might be a bacterial infection. I am on antibiotics for 10 days. I always thought antibiotics are strong stuff and I would be up and running in no time. Instead, day 3 and I am still in bed. My husband has the option of working from home so thank heavens. Poor guy is managing everything. I somehow get up to help him to get my daughter to school, go back to bed and then he takes over. I'll be glad when March is over. Dreaming about Cancun. I will be watching Friends since I am of no use to anybody right now.
aw Mum. Sit back and let your body heal completely. Of course, take the full flight of your antibiotics.

My windowsill salad plants are getting tall and heavy. They are all the same green color, but different shapes. One plant, at about 3 inches tall, is so heavy, it can't "stand up straight." It's drooping. The K-Cup tomato plant is still just dirt. I planted three seeds in there.

I keep referencing windowsill salad. This is what I'm referring to: [seedsheets.com]

Time to get some medium sized pots and a shelf to set them on near your window? Also, some Popsicle sticks and twist-ties.

Did an easy Bank inquiry that paid well..now home making Matzo ball chicken soup (from scratch), laundry on heavy fall clothes to put away for next year, as it is warming up with a little rain (maybe, maybe not). Watching Dr. Phil, computer play and hoping a bit of reading. Why does time go by so quickly, when pre-70 years old, time stood still????? Question to ponder.
Edited to add:Tasted my chicken soup, best I've made, and healing from inside out.

Work, extra work, and quick personal road trip.

The road trip was fun because the critters were out and just being themselves.
Love them! smiling smiley

For the past couple of weeks, I have been dead dog tired. Not just sleepy, but even my bones were tired. It turns out, my primary source of iron was the Five Guys burgers I got twice a month. When I switched to the veggie sandwiches, I cut out the iron.

I did a Sonic shop tonight and got a cheeseburger. I ate the entire thing, and I feel so much better.

And, Vit, C may assist with the iron uptake.

GREAT idea! I can gently stake the seedlings that are drooping. I picked up some pea seeds, so that will be the K-Cup project for this weekend.

I'm going to have windowsill tomatoes to put on my windowsill salad!

Thanks Irene! I always prefer fruit. And raisins have fiber.

Oh, happy! The early job was actually early. We finished at 5:15 am. That is amazing!
This is how it is supposed to be every day. Anyway, for the first time in weeks, I have enough available time during business hours to do what I need to do then. Must get to it... smiling smiley

Last week my multi-purpose printer/scanner died. Yesterday the washing machine died. New (to me) printer/scanner will not work! Going to Sears Outlet today to shop for a washer.

This gray, very rainy date sure suits my mood!

I'll join you Wales, my broiler isn't working, need new stove, already bought new dishwasher and water heater a few years ago. They build things to last 10 years...just when you get ahead. Will do errands before we're hit with another raining day. Signed to do my Gyu-Kaku, (Japanese BBQ), but have till Sunday, playing it by ear.

Found a good deal at Sears Outlet.
Bloody tariff has added over $150 !

OMG...that's awful...I have noticed everything has gone up in price. Sears closed in my town, no outlet.

Saved $300 or so because the washer has a scratch mark on one side. The side will actually face a wall, so no one but me will ever know. I have been buying appliances through Sears Outlet stores since the 1970s. This allows me to afford the top of the line most times, for the same price, or less, than "run of the mill."

I bought my fridge through Best Buy as well as T.V's, computers, etc., as I have a rewards program there with cash back and no interest for 18 months. They have sale's as well, but I'll shop around in a couple weeks.

This morning the front of the kitchen drawer that holds our silverware broke. One side is still attached, but the other one came loose. It won't be the first time I've taken a drawer in to a cabinet shop for repair, but as we use this one on a regular basis it will be a pain.
