What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I've also been speaking with a friend whose husband passed a year after her daughter....so sad, breaks my heart, she is having such a difficult time.

Rough day at work... One of my math colleagues lost his battle with cancer last night.... We have the crisis team here today and are doing the best we can to make it through the day while helping students (and one another) deal with grief.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Work. Extra work. Workout.

condolences.

Dyson. Costly but worth it in the long run. Never needed a repair and I've had mine since 1999.
Best Vacuum I've ever had: Riccar

Made in the USA and if you have a store/dealer nearby, they do a tune up once a year for 3 years after you buy it. They do recommend that you have your vac serviced once every so often (1-2 years), and after the 3rd year, you do pay for the service, but I've had the vacs forever, and I never see the "cloud" coming out of them or anything. I have one for my upstairs and one for my downstairs.
Sorry for you loss.

wales, I hope you feel better!

I had my dates mixed up for the food bank. I did it tonight. It was very fulfilling!

Today could be a good day as yesterday I get a promotion in the mail from Nissan which I've never owned.
I figure out the thingy and low and behold, my numbers match which means I'm a winner. I could win $25,000,
$500 gift card, $25.00 dinner...going into dealership this morning and see what my gift is....fingers crossed.
Then lunch at BJ's to use my rewards card for $10.00 off and no report...home for paper work.

The school district announced last night that school would be dismissed two hours early today due to the major snowstorm coming our way... The snow from Monday is still on the ground and we are looking at 4-8 inches - plus more in spots. (For Seattle, this is huge - a once in twenty years event). For now, holding 35-minute math classes with teens whose minds are far more focused on the cold-white stuff than their studies.

@Irene_L.A., got a Dyson Ball Multi floor 2 upright 2 years ago during Black Friday. Love it. Highly recommend for carpet.
Road trip. Alternate route. Therefore, impossible to add assignments. But the snowy views are nice!smiling smiley

This is my lightest shopping day this week. Just one MF gas station mixed in with my other errands. I feel like I'm on vacation!

At home with this ugly head cold. Cannot read; eyes watery. Cannot talk without coughing. Looking forward to Nyquil at bedtime.

I bought a new phone in November because my old phone was physically acting squirrely. I use the old phone for Alexa. I contacted Samsung to report the squirrel, and they asked me to send it in. Cool!

I couldn't figure out how to back it up. I called Verizon Wireless, and the rep did not know what she was doing. While we were on the phone, I Googled and got my answer. It was an easy fix.

Tomorrow, I'm getting my taxes done.

I just got over a bad sinus infection that I thought was just a bad cold. Went to my lungs. Took 2 rounds of antibiotics to clear it up but I'm still coughing. Anyway, I took the 12 hour Sudafed you have to get from the pharmacist - she recommended it. It got my ears to drain. Works great but you can't take it if you have high blood pressure. Hope you feel better.

A quick trip to the grocery store and CVS. Rescheduling a ton on shops due to being sick. Watching the weather and hoping that the next icy weather, due early next week, does not extend my MS hiatus.

Empathy for the crud.
Kudos for the phone fix.
Giggles for a book I am reading. It's a punny kiddie lit book. As often as possible, I delve into fiction and non-fiction from all eras that is meant for children. The question always is, "What the unprintable are they teaching!?!" Sometimes, the answer is a good one, as with this little chapter book: we might be snobby, displaced, the new kid in town, bigoted, spoiled, treated badly, or otherwise in need of a little awareness. smiling smiley

Friends and I stayed in SB drinking hot cocoa for 2 hours, then a Ralph's where I went wild and bought out the store. Charged 5.99 for a case of snapple, when I bought a single bottle that was .99. Had to go back for a refund.....yes, it went into report.

Staying home and looking at my street, under six inches of snow... More to come tomorrow.... More on Monday...More on Thursday.

Celebrated National Pizza Day by going to a new-to-us restaurant. They were having a special, a large pizza for the price of a small, so we brought home enough for lunch tomorrow.
