Noshing on meat so tender it falls apart when you look at it. Yum!
(I love my slow cooker.)

Picking up dry cleaning, plus a quick stop nearby at Aldi. Cooking ahead for several meals this week. In addition to the pasta with pesto and shrimp, I am braising lamb shanks to have with spanakopita and fresh melon later in the week. I already have chili in the freezer.
Catching up with laundry, tidying and a little on-line shopping.

Tomorrow, pedicure and a look at what Macy's has on sale. I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. Oh, and making reservations for 3 February hotel shops! Time to get back into MS gear.

Cleaned house, made blueberry muffins, oatmeal raisin cookies, and some pudding. Watched Groundhog Day with hubby.
Enjoying some spring-like weather after the polar vortex earlier in the week.

I did a shop today at Ace hardware. My scenario was paint. I had my back story ready, an accent wall. The employee showed me a wall in her kitchen that she had on her phone. She also showed me the before. I noticed the cabinets and asked about them. They were gorgeous! She said she did them herself (paint) in one afternoon. She showed me the paint that she used and the sealer. I have a new weekend project.

I love it when a shop provides really useful information!

Honny,
If it was me, I would wait until the weather was warm enough to work with windows open, at least a little, for ventilation. The sealer is likely to have some volatile component(s) that would be unpleasant, at the least.

Today brings a couple errands, Best Buy to reset the new camera I bought, return at Macy's, Trader Joe's and still waiting for lunch due today...come on Bare, give it to me already.....

I'm hosting a Super Bowl party. It will be my granddaughter's first.

My family is originally from Wisconsin and my nephew's 2 babies came home from the hospital wearing GB Packer gear. After learning to say mama and daddy, their third word, in both cases, was touchdown. Complete with arms raised ala the referee. They live in CT, but have inherited season tickets from my brother-in-law's side of the family.

Didn't get assigned lunch, so watching Frank Sinatra in Japan on KQED....this is what music is all about, having a great day, MY WAY!!!!!!!

Thanks wales! I can just imagine practically suffocating from fumes or freezing from keeping my windows open. That will give me enough time to choose the colors.

Just finished watching the Superbowl. My team won -- WOO-HOO!! Go Pats! Go Pats!! (Sorry for all you Rams fans, though. Tough game!)

boo...Rams should have won....

Watched a few moments of super Bowl, commentary, and ads. Did not root for a team. I just marveled at the vast production that the Super Bowl is. Can it get any more glitzy?! Mind you, I was finishing a shop report while munching chicken parts at a travel center, so my perspective might have been that of a distracted person.

So later today, I will venture forth into the great beyond, aka the beloved wide open snowy and scenic spaces, and finish work that did not fit into yesterday's hours. Fortunately, the work is easy and there is an opportunity to try a new-to-me restaurant for lunch. Or not. I might prefer to scurry home and begin to clean baseboards!

Snow day today... no school... Driving my wife to various appointments.

Taking care of a couple sick kiddos. Crud is going around.

Haven't gotten dressed today! And it's 1:00!!

I guess it's turning out to be a lazy day. Maybe husband will be a sweetie and get Red Robin for dinner so I don't have to cook winking smiley
I did my first yellow gas station audit on Saturday. I think it went well; it passed the initial QC. I'm waiting to get feedback from the MSC. I went over the store reimbursement by a penny.

I bought a stovetop smoker from Amazon. I broke it in today and made a chicken thigh and onions. Delicious!

Did you have any leftovers, HonnyBrown? (It is almost time for brunch here.) smiling smiley

I added shops, whacked a projected cost, and found a pair of really comfy pants that were mia. They were only under something else in my closet, but still. They are comfy! I missed them! Have been watching Black Sheep Squadron. It leads to a need to read Boyington's books and study up on a few factoids that are referenced in the show. Did war-time torture and brainwashing really happen? What happened to people who experienced that (if it happened)? Does anything like that happen now? etc.

Quick grocery run, meeting a tree specialist for an estimate on removing a tree from my front yard and grubbing out the stump so that I can plant a new tree next year. So few live areas left on the old tree, and if it falls, it will wipe out the west side of my house. (Not to mention a very nice housemate whose room sits 5 feet from that tall tree.)

Honny,
Tell me more about a stove-top smoker please !

Got a last minute job at the mall, so hooray, it took 6 minutes with report 5 minutes...that's new for me.
Stopped at .99 store and picked up Oprah's Cauliflower/mashed potato's, batteries and healthy non-gluten chips.
Then Ralph's for my fav La Brea french bread...home to make my lentil/carrot soup. Home to do paper work and the sun's out, maybe rain went away.

Well, I contracted for the tree work and learned enough about the stove-top smoker to put that on my "wish list."

I applied to be a temporary worker for the 2020 Census. Did the job back in 2009-2010; can't believe it was ten years ago!

@KathyG: I knew someone who did that job. They liked the Census job because it was temporary and interesting. Perhaps they would have liked mystery shop gigs. Hmm. smiling smiley

Today is all about business. Verify information, enter it, and contemplate the work that we do. Are we doing the right work? The right amount of work? Working the work in a smart way?
