What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Guysmom and Mr. Guysmom, cut it out LOL. Seriously, get well!
I know! It's just awful for both of us to be laid up at the same time. Hubby is SOOOoooo bruised in the groin (and other sensitive, centrally located areas!!) He's really strong, and when they were starting the cath procedure through the groin, he apparently hadn't received enough sedative, because he said he tried sitting up and said, "Hey! I can feel that!" They quickly gave him more! But I think the attempt at sitting up exacerbated the bruising he now has. ME??? After they said they gave me the sedative for my heart cath, I asked, "How long till it takes effect?" They said, "Oh, just a minute or two"."Then I said, "Oh, I feel it. Nighty-night!" Then I woke up on the transport bed in front of my hospital room!

So here hubby is, sore and waiting to heal up from his bruises, but feeling MUCH MUCH better in his heart! And here I am wearing a heart monitor to see what's going on with my rhythms. I was diagnosed 8 years ago with multiple, unifocal, benign PVCs, and have kept it under control with supplements. But somehow, I think the stress of my hubby's situation did something to the cortisol and adrenaline levels in my system, and put my heart rhythm on a bouncy journey for now!

Yes. HonnyBrown is (hopefully) having a wonderful time in Paris. Hopefully, guysmom will feel better just as guysmom's hubby is.

@guysmom I could only imagine how much stress I would feel if my wife was in a similar situation as your husband. Keep a close eye on your stats, but I agree with you that this is probably driven by your stress which came from a very real place. The best to you both!

I spent an inordinate amount of time searching for a much-wanted book. Finally, I found a copy. Soon, I will read my book! I also invented a new sauce. That happened when I needed a distraction from the frustration of not locating a measly copy of a book. But all is well now. I have the book, the recipe, and time to enjoy them.

Bonjour de France! Here is my vacation brief:

Paris: nice tourist attractions, crappy food.

Beaunes: wine heaven. At dinner (on my own), a had a cru wine and a rillete.

Vers-Port-du-Gard: lovely, I don't have to come back.

Auvignon: the Palace of the Popes had a terrific marketplace with tourists and locals.

Aix-en-Provence: will explore today.

The wine: I like it, but don't understand it.

Met with an attorney (ugh)
Met with a notary to refinance a house (sort of thinking of working as a traveling notary. I imagine it's a lot like mystery shopping with being an IC and picking up jobs....)
Went to two of my son's soccer games....same time/same field, so sat between the games smiling smiley
Went to my 6 year old's soccer practice....
Took my daughter to her ballet class before the games, had a chance to get back in time to watch her dance for a bit, so that was a real bonus!
Now, binge watching Season 2 of "THIS IS US!" smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley
Walk outside after breakfast before it got too hot. Water the grass so no more dies. (Will fall EVER get here?!) Dentist appointment to get fitted for temporary crown after root canal. Completed yearly certification for Medicare shops.

Did a little happy dance when I saw how much is in my PayPal account. On some level, I was pleased because I had worked a lot and knew that money would arrive, but it was just a whole new moment of happy when I saw the deposited amounts in my account. How can I spend it? Let me count the ways... But seriously. It can stay there for awhile. I changed my schedule for one of my jobs. This, hopefully, will result in more sleep and greater productivity.

Aww, that's awful. Good to get the shop, but horrible that the room was not accommodating for a good night's sleep
The room was great; my sleep was not. I was able to give the entire building a "5" out of 5. But, sometimes sleep just evaporates at 3 AM. That can happen to anyone at home, as well.

True. Good it wasn't hotel related.

I'm the opposite. I hardly every have issues falling asleep. I'm out the minute my head hits the pillow most times. Drives my husband nuts
You sleep,at 3 AM? I work then. This means I should be esrly to bed, or something like that.

Relaxing, then a quick Kroger's job and the mall for a check on Macy's sale, just browsing...not much going on.

Business trip next week, leave tomorrow. So today is mowing, trimming, vacuuming the pool, cutting my hair, doing laundry, then packing....

Shopping and cooking. My bff/neighbor is on a crunchy deadline to finish a lot of work so I made Pollo con Arroz (spanish chicken and saffron rice.) I'll take her a big pot so she won't have to cook and soon I'll start other cleaning.
Husb and I have four kids. So odd months, I take one kid at a time on a "special day." Husb gets even months. It's a chance for each kid to have one on one time with a/each parent.

I saw a "facebook event" for a chocolate festival in the area. My oldest LOVES chocolate (when he was a toddler, I ate a Hershey Kiss one night, drank water, rinsed my mouth, waited a couple minutes, then went into his room for bedtime stories. He crawled on my lap and sniffed my breath....he has ALWAYS loved chocolate!)

So the chocolate festival was up his alley.

With the tickets I bought, we each got 12 "samples" from the vendors. I used 4 of mine and was "chocolated out...." He used the rest and enjoyed every minute of it. Afterward, we went out for a coffee; he wanted his hair cut; and we got a couple Red Box movies to take home. He said it was a great day, which made me happy since we've been having some confrontation lately. (He's 17 1/2)

So, I'm very happy this evening smiling smiley
Today is my last day in France, finishing up in Monaco. The trip was nothing short of amazing! Today, I visited the Ferrari dealership.

Work, work, and more work. Just now, I have a few hours in which to relax and contemplate the meaning of life. Life, for whom, you may ask... lately, I have developed a heart for current and former prisoners. These people may face enormous challenges from themselves and from others. I will always want to be on the side of not being an obstacle or obstruction for someone who is trying to live on the outside, even if I cannot do anything that directly helps them.

Leaving for the most challenging mystery shopping trip I've ever done. Driving to a university town 100 miles west of the house to complete six off-campus student housing complexes. I'm obviously THE WORST helicopter mom ever :-) Then dinner with a friend in town, and an overnight at her house if the project has to stretch into a second day..

That sure sounds like a 2 day project if you want it to be any fun at all !

For me EOQ shops mean not much BUT shops for the next few days.
