What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Did a gas station and went shopping and now back home to clean the kitchen and do some cooking and floors. I've come to realize that is about all I do. I wonder why I'm so happy?

Ignorance is bliss (I keep telling myself). Getting so much done before my cleaning crew comes over, going to enjoy a spotless house. No jobs maybe for the month till I leave, just had a rough Aug. with my dental crapola, Have an Appt. tomorrow and feel I am owed a clean house and no work...smiling smiley

Trip to the gym, browsing in a couple of stores just because I wanted to. Home to do one phone shop, then random projects around the house. I answered an unknown number on my phone (which I don't usually do) and talked to a new-to-me Atlanta scheduler for Market Force offering some great bonuses. Dinner is leftover pizza for last night's ACL shop.

Errands, nap, mystery shop.

So it will never be a bestseller or a movie, like Eat, Love, Pray was. But it was my very easy day, and I liked it.

Today is my birthday, social security - come to mama starting in Nov. Yeah. Went to my 8-5 job as usual. My youngest daughter is coming tomorrow for 4 days before going back to college and settling in an apartment. I am beyond happy because I did not get to see her much this summer. I had her when I was 42, she was my surprise and blessing. Now if we could just get a little rain.
Happy Birthday cjbstar!

I did gas stations and came home and fell into a coma and just woke up. It's the heat and humidity. Next I need to mow.
Happy Birthday, cjbstar! Many more!! Enjoy your time with your daughter...that will be the best present of all!

Watched an old movie, took a nap, and will soon take the car for a proper cleaning.

After that, I need another nap before another job.

This term I'm taking a linear programming class. This week was my midterm. It was pretty intense. I turned it in last night. Professor usually posts our grades the following week. My grade was posted today.

I got an A! 100⁒ on all metrics!!!!

I got a free burger at Red Robin for my B-day, so took it today along with a free ice cream sundae for B-day....so good, so full....exchanged some shoes and pants, went to cleaners who lost a good white blouse I had and loved, they said they are responsible, but I couldn't find another, so $$ will have to do.

Wow Honny that is impressive. Congratulations!

Irene, was today your bday? Well whenever it was, happy birthday!

I spent the day mowing the yard. It was so tall and thick because I've been doing so much shopping that it really did take all day and I"m worn plumb out, as my Dad would have said. I'll do the dishes and send the wife out for tacos, and we can spend the rest of the night watching the last season of "Orange is the new Black. " I cut up a watermelon so all is good on the food front. Hot shower is next.
honny, congrats, good girl, keep it up.....CoffeeQueen, Thx...my B-day is Aug. 30th, when I'll be in Chicago celebrating with my daughter who got tickets to Hamilton which I've wanted to see...so Happy B-day to me.
My friends daughter committed suicide, so this month has been very sad.

Irene, Happy Birthday! Yours is the day before my Mom's. Why did your friend's daughter do that? I will keep your friend in my prayers.

This class has been a bear for me, especially after the last one. I put a lot of work into this midterm. I am glad it paid off.

I am staying with family in CT for the day. I have charged both PV-500 rigs and tested them. Also the ear-mounted mini-cam. Installed one of the button cams in a cosmetic bag and concealed it, placed it in passenger side pocket in my car to test it. After three tries I got it adjusted properly to film the valet who parks my car during several upcoming parking shops in NJ and NYC. Tomorrow I will set out to catch a thief, or two.

This weekend, I'm spending all day and night in and around my recliner drinking hot tea, gargling salt water and inhaling various OTC meds.... Went to urgent care this morning and was prescribed some really cool drugs....Hopefully, I'll be up and about again in a couple of days.... sad smiley

Of course, between urgent care and meds being ready at the pharmacy, I still slipped in an oil change shop...

MFJ...feel better, it's the universe's way of telling you to stop for a minute. .. tomorrow I go to a funeral, been rough for my friend, sad month for her, I'm taking it easy because I need too.

Happy Monday! I have no jobs except the usual house tasks. Yawn. But, yay. I need the rest.

So sorry to hear.

When I was cutting the grass today I found a dead rabbit in the back yard. No sign of trauma. I scooped it up with a compost fork, and it was completely stiff.

Last night our main level air conditioning unit started running noisily and wasn't putting out cold air. We turned off both units and opened up the windows. I called the service company right when they opened at 8 this morning, and had a technician here by 8:45. The problem was a bad capacitor (recently replaced and under warranty) so just paid for a service call. Life is good!

Glad to hear it was a simple fix!!

Glad to hear you got it all straightened out, KathyG! We had AC problems a few weeks ago as well. Our AC guy was able to fix it and get us back up real quickly, too!

For me, just tying up loose ends around the house, getting ready to leave on vacation tomorrow. Speaking of AC, had to take our car to our mechanic this morning and have a can of freon put in, so all is good there now! Doing laundry, getting my hair trimmed up, cleaning the pool, and other odds and ends before we leave tomorrow.

Nice day here: only two jobs, finishing a book, and identifying potential assignments to add to two mostly filled merch days.

Driving home (NJ to just outside of DC). After 16 days away, part vaca, part video route, I will spend tomorrow uploading video that the hotel connection would not handle, finishing reports, doing laundry and catching up on snail mail.

Easy work day, only 2 gas stations. I went grocery shopping and came home afterwards. Now i should clean the kitchen but I'm going to put my feet up and clean it later. Maybe a trip to a nearby town this evening to buy some shoes.
