Alieda, I'm sorry that happened to you.
I, too, had a dr's visit today, my "Welcome To Medicare" visit. One of the things done for free is a baseline ECG. So I had it done, and it showed "possible old anterior infarct" ... dr pulled up an ECG I had done while going thru chemo 4 years ago, and it showed the SAME THING!! I also had an ECHO done 4 years ago, probably because of the ECG, and it showed a relatively normal heart for my age at the time. So he said just to be sure, he wants to set me up for a stress test....I suppose that's a good thing, especially since I have a history of PVCs also, benign though they be!
But the item of more concern to me is this "lump" on the interior of the top of my left elbow crease, about 1" by 3/4", that only shows up if I fully extend my arm open. I don't know how long it's been there, and I only noticed it about 5 days ago. He said that while it "didn't present itself" as a lymph node, but more as a fatty cyst, that due to my history of breast cancer & left mastectomy (& chemo and radiation & Arimidex--on year 4 of 5), he wants me to get an ultrasound of the lump....which is a great idea. Then from there, probably see my oncologist to see about a biopsy.
I LOVE my new dr....had to switch when I started on Medicare....he REALLY LISTENS to me!!
So, most of this probably won't get done till end of the month or first of Sept, because hubby & I are leaving on the 15th for vacation and I won't be home until the 27th. May be able to get the ultrasound done before vacation if the place that does it calls me in the next day or so. But we'll see. I'm in the Lord's capable hands!!
