What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Just finished 3 hours teaching English online to children in China (No teaching certification required. Let me know if interested.) and scheduling two apartment shops for next week.
My son had looked into doing that. But then, if I remember correctly, he found out that because of the time difference, he would have to be teaching at like 3 in the morning over here. And with a wife and baby, he couldn't do that. Are you teaching at hours like that???

Mall and Six Flags. Came back with a headache. Luckily, DH made homemade pizza for dinner. Watching fireworks from the patio, sipping some brandy and then off to bed.
Work, more work, and projects. This means that I am on the mend. As long as I do not annoy my back too much, I will finish the current set of projects soon. Huzzah!

Enjoying the last of the scattered showers over the last week. Wonderful break from the heat. Back to 100 plus in a couple more days. Brutal summer.
Still werkin....for da man. Also excited that my pool cooled back into the 80s, for a nice after work soak. Hope you all are having a great day!

After a long video account opening shop I stopped at a nearby Ikea. Had a lovely cool, fresh shrimp salad for lunch with a sliver of almond cake. Then bought coffee mugs and selected a floor lamp. The lamp box was much to heavy for me to put into the cart and there was not help to be found. So, they lost that sale. Time to check out alternative sources with free delivery!

Got home earlier this afternoon from a great 4 day weekend with my son/DIL/& grandbaby! Probably going back up in August! So now I'm just relaxing, getting caught up with emails, computer stuff, this forum, getting ready to read my snail mail. Just kicking back and relaxing. I've got 3 Thomas Joseph online crosswords to catch up on....going to do those in a few minutes!
wales, try Shades of Light.

Muggy today, storm in Baja (I think) brings glum with humidity. Will meet friend at SB for coffee and support.
Going to Kohl's with my well deserved 30% coupon....don't need anything, but, a good deal is a good deal.
Packing daily for trip and looking for a handyman.....

Live consciously....
I have that tingling little sort of an "Ohhhhh, yeeeaaahhh" going on today. I will finish the current batch of projects on Sunday. *does a little happy dance and scurries along to the next task*

New Home shop, love to see the models, and later drive thru that is most confusing, many ways to not get paid...worried. Home for reports and staying out of humidity. Renter in Fl. for the week, will do housework and hopefully a return at Kohl;'s.

Mountains.

I visited my beloved real mountains and then sorted mountains of stuff at home.

All is well.

Not much other than work, since I took the last week of June and the first week of July off.

I finished the current batch of projects three days early, so I did three more projects. Now, I get to take a nap before going to work this evening. Go me.

Went to my dentist for my semi-annual cleaning. Picked up the car after getting some work done on it. Then took hubby to his optometrist, because his left eye has been really, really, red and itchy and feeling like it has gravel in it. So eye dr checked him out and said he has a blepharitis, which is an infection on his eyelashes affecting his eye. So he got a prescription antibiotic/prednisone eye drop mix, and I'm doctoring him up every few hours with it! He's already feeling better.
I get blepharitis during allergy season. It results in maddening styes.

Trying once again to drop off a ton of things to donate to the local charity store. Last time they were closed for fire inspection! The a drop off at the post office (not a shop), assembling a new floor lamp, preparing food for several days of supper, and a quick stop at Aldi for apples and veggies.

Oooh, Honny, that must be maddening!! So does your optometrist give you an eyedrop prescription if you just call without having to go in for a visit each time?
? Double post. Today, I am seeing multiple repetitive posts in multiple threads. There are multiple repetitions here and in the"wash cloth test" thread. Wassup with that?! grinning smiley

Prepping for recently added shop. It's new-to-me, for the most part. I have not done this type for more than a year. Before that, I completed similar assignments for other clients. I do not like this type of assignment very much, usually. But this one is bonused and, wonder of wonders, conveniently located near a fave place where I often find wonderful vintage stuff. I am still looking for vintage textiles. This assignment is a winner! grinning smiley

Signed a contract on a new house a few days ago. Getting all the paperwork in order to give to the bank.
After four days on the road, I took the weekend off... Of course, this meant tackling a very long "Honey-Do" list... Installed a new garbage disposal yesterday... Cleaned out the shed today... Now, doing some late grilling - chicken kabobs and salmon.....

I am headed to do a recorded interview at a local NPR station. They are doing a series on why the station is so important to people and apparently they liked what I had to say when I last donated. After that, a parking shop that is a half-block from a favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. Lunch there is not a shop, just a treat with half of the meal to bring home for tomorrow night's supper.

I use the cheap popcorn shrimp for easy shrimp tacos, shrimp salad, faux-boy sammiches, etc. They are a staple in my household.

My new term (grad school) starts this week. A guy in my class is 70 years old and doing a Masters in Data Analytics.

I'm doing my Masters in Operations Management. It's a technical MBA. I graduate in 2020. Now that I see the light at the end of the tunnel, I'm thinking what am I going to do with this. I met someone at work who is an Operations Analyst. I asked her what she does. She basically told me that she is using every single thing I am studying. That was very refreshing.

Me too! They have so many uses, and they taste good.

When I don't feel like cutting up an entire bell pepper just for a few strips, I use the frozen bell peppers. The bag is cheaper than the fresh peppers. The same with corn and spinach.

I should be asleep now because I get up between midnight and 2 am (depending upon the day and the task list). But I am here for a few minutes while waiting for laundry. Yawn. Your news is much more interesting.... new houses, summer breaks, radio stars, grad school, and popcorn shrimp. Popcorn Shrimp!?!?!
