What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Organizing mini-routes into the city for clusters of my 25 garages for this month. Searching for bank or lunch or retail assignments within walking distance of said garages and then shuffling the routes to accommodate those. It is soooo nice to have a bunch of center city parking shops that can be done "any day open" throughout the month. Still using Streets and Trip for this because there are no new streets in DC since S&T stopped updating. But, on the road my newish Garmin GPS is priceless because it knows exactly which streets are one way, in which direction!

Folding and storing laundry. Making a batch of hamburger patties to freeze (uncooked). Making a cold lunch of hummus, pita chips, egg salad and V-8 (iced). Avoiding the "code orange" outdoor air and "humiture" of 100 F.

Did an easy FedEx across from my mall, took 6 minutes, mall saw everything mobbed with sales. walked around, hot, wanted iced tea, went to my favorite (not shopped) Solita, was cool with great award winning design, and I had my Chile/onion tequila based taco and tea....why don't they shop places like these. I had to wait to get a sweetner, and wanted to write a report...but all in all, a good day. No housework, none, nita, zero, pretending the maid is coming.....
Renter right on time, what a great guy, all business and respect, my kitchen is closed, don't ya know....easier than a hubby, collect rent, don't do anything but keep a clean house.

I went to a family reunion in South Carolina. AWESOME! It was so good and therapeutic to see family and loved ones. I truly needed that!

It's still too hot out...and I know I could grill but I'd rather not. I'm already doing everything else. Just makes me grumpy.

JAS, girls can grill you know. I grew up with a mother claiming she liked to cook while relying heavily on pre-packaged convenience foods along with a stepfather who could manage to both burn and undercook chicken on the grill. My brothers and me are just the opposite of our parents.
Most food looks good to me almost all of the time.

Food usually sounds so tempting. But not today. Maybe tomorrow. Today is for finishing a book and organizing stuff for merch tasks. Someday, I will look at food again and proclaim, "You look pretty good!".
I just finally bought a new van. The old one had over 200,000 miles on it after several years of coast-to-coast route shopping. Looks like we will be travelling again soon, so I am planning ahead for that.
Still on vacation. Today we're getting a rental car and driving to Sacramento to visit with Hubby's cousin. He hasn't seen her for several decades. We may or may not have an offer to spend the night at her house, but if the offer doesn't come through we'll get a hotel in the area and spend some time exploring Sacramento tomorrow before heading back to Son's house for a couple more days before we fly back home.

Straightening up kitchen and work area, ignoring bathrooms (will they go away). Computer today, hanging around waiting for dinner at new Italian restaurant (just opened).and the few are shopped. ..went by yesterday, very casual, but was awarded best Italian here, hard to believe it beat Sicily (the real deal). Sometimes I think owners buy the signs that say "Best restaurant".....library closed through the 4th.

Mystery shopping is my day job.

Today, I pick up my car with its brand new air conditioner! After, I guess I better go grocery shopping.

Dropped off a ton of clothing and toiletries at the local homeless shelter. Took a half/ton of household items to the charity resale shop that benefits local charities only to find that they were not accepting donations for this one day. The fire dept. inspection team was expected to be there and had asked for the donation sorting facility to be basically empty. Took a package to return to a seller and a map to mail to my sister to the PO. Home before the heat index topped 100 F. Literally just chillin' since then. Back to MS starting tomorrow.

I felt pretty close to human today, and I celebrated that. Everything was restful, and a few events were funny or just a treat. It was like having Sabbath on a Monday just because that is the day that I felt well enough to do that... Hmm...

Celebrated my 31st anniversary with my dearly beloved. Went for a drive in the mountains, then to one of our favorite restaurants and had Chateaubriand prepared table-side. Now, hubs is watching tv, and I'm on the putersmiling smiley
I LOVE Chateaubriand. And I actually know how to make it. Though I am quite certain you had something special and spectacular, Mert. Happy anniversary, and many more to you and your beloved.
Awwww for the anniversary. smiling smiley In addition to the things that we are not supposed to talk about here, I have a few errands and a few house tasks. That's it. Yawn,

Religon/Politics are the two I know of...clue me in. Today will find (finally) me breaking down and going to the Senior center, me old enough (how did that happen)? Found out a cute man goes there and takes their day trips, so, off I go...gotta keep the heart beating.....later, Red Robin offering 20% off, lunch then home to start cleaning out my closest, putting winter things away, summer's here.

I went to BJ's Wholesale to stock up on some stuff. One of the items I bought were roasted sunflower seed kernels in a deep plastic tray. I carry my three items to my car, and the sunflower seeds spilled all over me and the driver side carpet. That was a lot of seeds.

I need to do a Jiffy Lube shop quick!

Today on top of working my day job I am playing swap the magic pills. I have a pretty bad back and am waiting for steroid shots and while I wait on the appointment my doc swapped out my slightly addictive but bad for my stomach and heart, according to the experts, meds for much more seriously addictive but less deadly on other fronts meds. Joy.....I think? Also, ouch, these are not killing the pain so well just yet. Might just go to bed.

Air quality warnings and excessive heat warnings here. For me, that means that I need to stay in a cool, filtered air environment. About 2 more days of this before I can venture out for more than a few minutes aat a time without problems. So, lots of cooking and hausFrauing going on here, Fortunately, all of my July shops have very flexible due dates.

I will grill bratwusrt (indoors) for a little picnic, with chips and baked beans and "original" Coca-Cola (a rare treat).

Just finished 3 hours teaching English online to children in China (No teaching certification required. Let me know if interested.) and scheduling two apartment shops for next week.
Pool party later, eat, converse, home to watch fireworks which I can see from my third floor bedroom. Town has fireworks, but I'm not one for crowds, everything in my own privacy.....summer's here, enjoy everyone....
