KathyG, You're fortunate. Up until I ruptured my L4L5 two years ago, I LOVED doing my aerobic exercises with all their twists and turns, and carrying stuff and such as that. PLUS.....since my left mastectomy and 2 sentinel nodes removed, I'm not supposed to carry heavy stuff with my left hand, or have needles or my B/P done using my left arm, and stuff such as that. BUT......last December I found a video for a brief (12 min) cardiac workout for folks with back issues....I am SO happy I found that!!! So now, I can do those exercises plus my back exercises, plus, I still like to walk around the stores, or park a little further away in the parking lot, and stuff like that. I'm hoping the results of my DEXA scan get posted to a software program our hospital system uses called My Chart within the next day or two.@KathyG wrote:
I had a DEXA test done two weeks ago. Have not heard the results yet, so I'm sticking my head in the sand and saying no news is good news. Since my last test revealed osterpenia I've upped my weight bearing exercises, including choosing to carry my filled shopping bags through the grocery stores instead of using a cart. We'll see if that helped.

Okay so you use your toaster oven like I use my mini-oven (when I bother to take the cookie sheets out.) Got it. I wish I had a pool too. I love swimming laps.

At 10 AM the MSC that I do 20-40 shops per month for will start releasing July shops to its "regular" shoppers for my home area (2 states and DC). Whatever the 3-5 of us do not grab before noon will then go onto the job board. So 10:00 to 10:30 will be pretty hectic. Fortunately, there is always a bit more than enough shops to go around, as rotations are in effect for most locations. I really love having nearly an entire month to select just when to do which shops. Makes it easy to combine these with other nearby shops that other MSCs release throughout a month.
After that, into DC for three shops while there is a weekend lull in traffic!
