Doing laundry while I wait for someone from the roofing company to check on what we hope is just a small leak on our roof...roof was installed in Sept of 2000...20 year roof....so near 2.5 years left on it!
Phone calls about a job with Coyle...handled thru another MSC, most confusing. gotta get out of house so, Baja Fresh for a late lunch. house stuff, and preparing for big job tomorrow in the city....

I made it through the shop and the day. Along the way, I picked up some books that have been on my list for awhile and planned my next few free days. I am all programmed for the next little while, and it is good. So good.

Jas excellent, I never would have thought it but our hours work, and he has a big family so has dinner at his sisters every night, doesn't come into my kitchen. I usually leave at 9ish in the morning, he leaves at 9:30 and returns at 10ish...I still have the house to myself all day and evening, we speak about twice a week, very respectful, pays the 1st....no problem. Someone was watching over me.....

Happy Friday!

My day began well. Today's devotional was encouraging, uplifting, and freeing. (We are not supposed to post these things here, so I will enjoy that offline and elsewhere.) I hope that everyone else will have such an auspicious event in their day. smiling smiley

Just regular (non-shopping) grocery shopping today, and later eating out with hubby somewhere for our usual Friday night date night eating out. Roof guy came yesterday to check on leak...appears it was the vent pipe seal....somehow over the years had slightly loosened....re-caulked it and tamped it down...said our roof looks like it still has several good years left to it, so that was great news! No charge for the re-caulking, either, since roof still has 2.5 yrs left on warranty. Everything worked out well!!
I have a final exam on Saturday. I've been taking the practice exam for the past two weeks, and there are two problems that I am stuck on. I talked to my professor on the phone today, and he walked me through both problems.

I plan on getting another A!

Aw, I don't get the movie assignments anymore so I'm treating myself to a shop with no report! I will be sneaking in a hot dog, a can of soda and a box of candy!
Work 9 hours, play with dogs, have a drink, watch an hour of mindless TV before bed. Looking forward to Apr 17, no more overtime until next January.
Just went to Kohl's and bought the cutest sweater coat (dusty pink), on sale with a 20% off coupon...21.00, so cute....errands, home and to the pool...85%, but still has a nip in the air, definitely not summer weather yet.
Cooler in the city and near the water...perfect time of year.

Don't you just love it when Kohl's has sales AND you can use a coupon??? I like getting Christmas presents there with sales and coupons. Glad you found something special you can use, Irene.
Sometimes the sales+coupons are amazing...it takes time to search through things, but if you have a good eye, (like today) it happens..I really love my sweater coat and the weather is cooling down Monday, so I'll wear it...
They are great with returns, and gotta love the 30% off coupons.

Work, laundry, and cook. Plant some flowers in pots. Great sale on starter plants. I'm going to plant some seeds too. We have looong summers in south central TX.
Staying home got pretty patio plants at .99 store, beautiful...going to watch movies, just found out Shark Tank is on channel 85 all day and night, T.V. and more T.V., laundry, take a nap and so on....

Finally just about locked down the plan for the all day video training session at the May IMSC conference. I am hosting, but the hands-on training will be done by folks who know all of the technology much better and are trained trainers. But, I have the opening monologue, so my ego will be fully fed, lol. Also, finally found my original birth certificate today so I can get my replacement passport in time for a summer trip to Canada to see the Bay of Fundy!

Headed home from Salt Lake City. The long way apparently. Still have six hours to Denver. Another day after that. Wanted to go north but the snow storm changed our route.
Rained all day here, from about 10 am till just a few minutes ago (about 7:45 pm ET). So, after church, came home, had home cooked Sunday dinner, took a WONDERFUL 90 minute Sunday afternoon nap. Now I'm just watching reruns of I Love Lucy on my TV through my Roku while I scroll through my computer and this Forum.

Watching the Marathon, what a shame this weather. My daughter and son-in-law have run the Boston, Chicago, Florida (Disney 1/2 marathon) Son-in-law Mt. Washington, stated the hardest race he ever did, especially coming down. I walk four miles a day, weather permitting, lately not much. Last June 100 miles. I live near the beach so the walk is beautiful. I can walk from my house for many miles along the beach.
shopper8, I walk Monday through Friday, regardless of weather. On the weekends, I'm a slug.

Yesterday, I got my nails done and went to Chipotle for lunch.

A trip to the gym, home for shower and lunch, bookstore shop, meeting with a friend to discuss a book we're both reading, chicken fingers drive through dinner shop, Costco, and pet store for cat litter. Phew!

Hey, I got that chicken fingers shop too! I have it for tomorrow night. I hope it's decent.
While at a parking shop I will walk 1 block to a favorite charity resale shop to make a donation and looks for "targets of opportunity." Last time I was there I picked up a new piece of French enameled cast iron cookware from a famous brand for $25. Looked up the price on line: $180. Then another garage, post office and home to collect housemate for a trip to get groceries, wine and prescriptions.

Wales, my husband and I did a 10-day trip from Eastport, Maine (the Easternmost point of the U.S.) to Deer Island, New Brunswick, then to St. John's, and then took a ferry boat (huge ferry that can hold semi trucks) across the Bay of Fundy to Nova Scotia. We saw so many cool things on that trip, like the pilot whales in the Bay of Fundy while on the ferry. There is a whirlpool called Old Sow, which is the largest whirlpool in the western hemisphere and the second largest in the world. There is a vertical tide change of 50 feet in the Bay of Fundy. We saw the tidal bore in the Salmon River where the tide rushes up into the river and causes the river to flow backwards. We saw a bald eagle from about 10 feet away when we were hiking...he was in a tree and we could feel the whoosh from his wings as we startled him and he flew away. We went to the Dutch Mason Blues Fest and saw Johnny Lang, Robert Cray, Johnny Winter, James Cotton, and more. During intermission, they loudly announced that the Canadian Mounties would be walking through and encouraged the crowd to please put out their marijuana cigarettes, LOL. We went to Peggy's Cove and had steamed lobster that we picked out of the tank ourselves for $3.99 CAD per pound and sat outside on the deck with a view of the cliffs and the lighthouse across the water. We finished up with two days in Halifax, saw the tall ships in the harbor, ate great food and listened to Hibernian music drinking beer in the pubs with the locals. It was probably one of the best vacations we ever went on. Enjoy yourself!

Todat I will go to the grade school I work with the kids at , it will be the frist time in a month. I had cataracjs removed , then the teachers went to strike that is why I had not been there in a month. I then have five gas stations merchinzeing jobs to take care of. Plus one phone call shop. Back to my kids I can not wait to see them again.
Thanks JAS. My sister and brother-in-law have a huge 5th wheeler that will be parked at a beach campground in NE Maine for the summer. I wll join them for a week, but stay in a fully furnished cabin on the bay. Much of what you saw we will do. I plan to eat lobster at least once per day.
