What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Movie stars need good press, so they always say we'll remain the best of friends....no one will know the whole story, unless you watch TMZ who digs the dirt up. I don't believe in talking badly about your spouse if you have kids, that's hard on the kids, they love both parents. Keeping yourself intact and retaining your private integrity, you leave. Once trust is gone, it's gone and takes therapy and work to get past it...as they say, woman can forgive but they never forget. Many just lose it and grow apart thinking the grass is greener on the other side.
Divorce is the hardest thing you'll ever go through, as is staying with a cheater. Money helps, that's why the movie industry finds it easier to move on whatever the reason.

Last Friday I went to the optician with a red, itchy left eye. He gave me an antibiotic prescription and some eye drop samples. I was instructed to use the prescription drops four times a day and the other drops EVERY HOUR! I finished everything up yesterday. In the end I dispensed the prescription as ordered, and remember the other drops about 80% of the time.

Jas, feel better...busy day for me shopping, lunch out, home. We always have dust here, wind blows things around. I was allergic to my comforter, got a new one and eye allergy much better, Dr. also gave a prescription for dry eye which helped....up to five drops a day, amazing I remember to take them all at the right time.

Maybe these people who are splitting didn't cheat and they just "fell out of love", but dumbasses these days think that it's time to give up and quit when the bloom wilts off the rosebush, instead of waiting for another blossom to appear. Sheesh, yeah, after a couple of years they get irritated and their SO maybe isn't "doing it" for them anymore. If they just tough it out and give it a chance, it's worth the wait. Just my opinion. As long as there aren't any huge moral transgressions and the integrity is still intact, stick it out.

You said it JAS..It's the notion that's being fed to youngsters these days..that Marriages are perfect. Everything is supposed to be hunky dory with unicorns flying over. There are things that are certainly No No's in a relationship, but just quitting over coz u r not feeling it anymore..someone tell these stupid ppl that it's not going to be all glittery every day. My ex boss' wife left her just because he wasn't paying much attention to her or showering her with gifts like he used to. She fell in love with someone else leaving their 4 year old behind!! AND she posted those reasons herself on FB too!!
I do not know who those "famous" people are. What do they do when they are not telling the world at large that they are divorcing?

Anyway, I have an unexpected free day. The nature project was delayed due to weather conditions, so I am staying in town and being a hausfrau. So far, I have been to the gas station and the grocery store. Several large cooking projects are underway. Soon, I will delve into a personal interest project. At the end of the day, I will be pleased with my little accomplishments.

The weather is to cold to go out today here , so I am cleaning house. I will have be quite time and study tomorrow lession for Sunday School.
Bought my ticket to Chicago May 2nd, having an early Mother's day with my daughter, weather will be nice and she's picking up tickets to a play...good news, we can walk to theater from her Condo. Then dessert at my favorite "The girl and the goat", owner is a master chef in the area (not an Applebee's chain)....and of course the excitement of being with my daughter....pumped up...smiling smiley Today looking for new walking shoes...our weather close to 80 and warming up!!

I slept half the day. I needed that. I feel better than I have in months, it seems. All I have to do is put a few things together for a little road trip and then go back to sleep. All is well.

eta: No dat. On the way back to bed, I noticed that the vacuum had not been put away. So, I vacuumed. Or not. The unprintable thing did not work, so I bought another one. Oh, well. The sleep I got earlier went a long way toward beating down the crud. (Take that, $@^#@$^R crud!) Now you know why I am doing so few assignments these days. It is because I need sleep more than I need shops.

Irene, it's still really cold here in the Midwest...Chicago has the same weather we do pretty much only a few days earlier than ours. I wish it was 80, but it's 37 out right now (feels like 31 with the wind chill). At night it's in the 20s, I am just sick of it!

Hopefully by the time you get there in early May you will have some weather in the 70s (during the day, anyway).
I know, spring hasn't found it's way, but even if it's in the 40's, I have clothes for that, wool coat, scarfs, boots.
I have been there in Dec. a few times, and for 4 days I'm good with it....doubt it will be in the 70's...truth is, I love cold weather as I hardly get it here. I have more energy and coming from San Francisco where it used to rain days on end, I'm o.k. Months of over 100% is what gets me down.

Irene, the best thing will be that you are with yout daughter! I hope that it does warm up for you. But even if it doesn't, if you're like me, it won't matter. When we are with our children, who have grown up to also be our friends, that is all that matters. BTW, can we ever see our children enough?
We are 20+ degrees below normal.

Ask my daughter she says three times a year works...LOL...I must remember NOT to tell her what to do and everything will be fine....she is a fun girl, hard work, play hard, never boring....smiling smiley The weather is my last problem.....sleeping well the biggest.....in my mind I did a good job, raised her alone from 13yrs....though Dad paid the bills.....

@Irene_L.A. May 2nd!! You and me both will be having an early Mother's Day. Mum and Dad arriving on the same day to Chicago. We are planning to take them Downtown and show them the Willis Tower, Millennium Park and the Architectural Tour. My husband wants to take them to Niagara Falls but they don;t want to go. They have only 3 weeks here. They will be very tired after the long flight and would need rest too. Have fun Irene!
How funny, we love to go to the Art Institude and have lunch on the river...so much to do in the city...we'll both be in the loop (where everything is happening). Architectural tour is great took it years ago. Last visit we went to Millennium Park and they were ice skating loved it. Their Macy's is fabulous with many famous kiosk restaurants on the sixth floor. Enjoy, I know I will...we'll take Uber all over and walk walk walk.....

Might have actually gotten the insurance straightened out so that I will get reimbursed for my chemo treatments. now just waiting for next week to see if my insurance company quit paying for my drugs.
I colored with my 6 year old today and took my 13 year old around town to deliver his fundraiser products.

I am just now trying to get back into mystery shopping, and really do less than 5 shops a week, I suppose. I have four kids at home, though, and I home educate them, so things get busy. And right now, we are doing long days because we are going to take some time off for a family vacation that starts in a week.
After doing some video uploads, a very prosaic set of chores: conditioning shampoo, buy a new large trash receptacle, apply for a new passport, kitchen clean-up, make chili, do 2 loads of laundry and, if time permits, get a professional pedicure.

Oh, I yearn for weather warm enough to get a pedicure. My toes are looking pathetic, but since I have to wear socks and shoes everyday no one would see them sad smiley

Please excuse any whining from me over the past few days, I am recovering from bronchitis and I am particularly whiny...
Feel better soon! Bronchitis is no fun.

I'm impatient for pedicure weather, too.

Don't know what was going on last night, but I COULD NOT sleep! After an hour in bed I went downstairs to the family room couch, where I spent another hour trying to get comfortable. Then at 3 AM one of the cats decided to meow very loudly to announce his presence. Went back upstairs, where the rest of the night was restless.

I'm going to try to go without a nap today, but not sure if I can do it....

I wish you peace and quiet during you nap. I will be taking one in a bit myself. Take a Benedryl. That always does the trick for me.
It is NOT sandals weather here either. But, I can wear my sandals just to drive home from the nail shop and pop inside.

Yeah, a pedicure is doable when you don't have to trudge through snow...

I made mini peanut butter sandwiches for my squirrels with some stale French bread. They are so cute to watch eating them! One of them doesn't care for the bread so he has figured out how to hold the sandwich at an angle and lick out the peanut butter, then he throws the bread down on the deck and other squirrels snatch it up. I don't do this for them all the time, I worry I am turning them into obese little pre-diabetic critters, LOL, so I try to make sure I give them seeds and nuts as well. They still eat way better than the average squirrel I am sure.
Today doing my BBQ for lunch, they smoke everything chicken sooo good. Home to do paper work and laundry.
Tomorrow i got a mani/pedi on Groupon, can't wait ready for summer shoes with open toes.....

Sorry to hear you are going through chemo....I went through that back in 2014...you will discover that you are stronger as a person than you realized...hang in there...there will be light at the end of the tunnel for you. I hope all goes well with your treatments!! Take advantage of whatever they give you to relieve the nausea that you may feel from the chemo....it will help! And listen to your body....when it tells you to rest, then REST! And NEVER apologize to anyone for doing so!! You are the most important person to take care of right now....give it all your effort. Hugs going out to you!!
Wowza. There is a lot going on your worlds. I will hold a good thought for you when I am doing my little daily tasks. smiling smiley

My head was so foggy from being sick I misread your post, LOL. You should have taken the nap!!! They are good for you.

Foot surgery today.. it’s minor, but no walking for two weeks. No running for 6 (I play softball as a hobby) I’ll be doing a couple phone shops this week.
Well, I am considerably less bad today than I was recently. I wheeze and bark like a seal for only a few minutes each day. I nearly toppled over during an assignment yesterday because I was sooooooooooooooooo tiiiiiiiiiiired and my back had gone a little wonky. But I remained upright. Miraculously. But the best news is this: I have an easy and beloved shop today. It is conveniently located within walking distance from a place on my "must visit" personal list. So, all is well. Huzzah! (Still holding good thoughts for everyone... smiling smiley)
