What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

After taking a class at the gym I did the big grocery shopping (four different stores, including pet store). Came home and put everything away, then baked a batch of muffins, made a pan of brownies to take to the church fish fry tomorrow, pressed and baked off some tofu, and roasted baby bok choy/whipped up a peanut sauce for dinner.

My daughter just put up amazing pictures on Facebook taken at her visit to the New York Metropoliton Museum.
Treasure's, she is always taking great pictures and I get to enjoy them. I must say i've never had to take a pic of a bathroom, must be doing something right.

Closing a bank account so that I can get paid for opening another one on Monday. One big shop and then drop off dry cleaning plus two stops (not shops) at grocery stores. Then kitchen clean-up while I am making supper.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Had to cancel a bank job in the city due to a Marathon in that area...too far to chance it....no plans, more of the same.

Extra work all day, except for this break which I am spending online.

Scheduled day off from shopping. Enjoying my coffee, then declaring war on dust bunnies and doing laundry. The dryer quit on us, and it is one of those washer/dryer combos so we have to replace both. Not feeling it right now so using drying racks that we bought years ago and have used intermittently ever since. I love those things.
Long live drying racks! They do not fluff towels, but they are otherwise wonderful.

Another work-all-day adventure. The money is good, and the nearby fave place is perfect.

Today was dedicated to taking my midterm (graduate level math). I took the exam, finished in 3 hours and got an A. Now, I'm catching up on TV and wine.

Experimenting with recipes for my Bone Broth Protein demo tomorrow...I just found out that sugar-free, fat-free pudding made with almond milk is delicious. Who knew. In order for the pudding to set, I had to use half the amount of almond milk than I would have if using regular milk. I made a chocolate pudding with Chocolate BBP and almond milk and it's really good. Also almond milk (unflavored) yogurt tastes good with Vanilla BBP mixed in, and simple to make!
Jas, I make choc. pudding with almond/coconut milk...I don't use regular milk at all.....I like the taste better, make delicious lactose free yogurt smoothies and use unsweetened chocolate powder with a couple packs of Stevia.
Chocolate BBP is a new one for me...just use it like a broth.

The company I do demos for has multiple flavors of the Bone Broth Protein. They have a Pure formula but the store is out of it, and they are out of Turmeric and Cinnamon Apple, too, and those are the flavors I generally use when I do demos. It makes no sense to demo products that are out of stock so I was trying to come up with ways to use their Chocolate and Vanilla BBP varieties (which is all they have in stock right now), so I will definitely make drinks with it using almond milk but also wanted to try puddings and yogurt to see how that worked.
I have all of the Dr. Axe Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Protein varieties here at home and have tried them all. I have demoed the chocolate before in almond milk as both a cold and hot drink (it's delicious), but never used it with pudding or yogurt before. I made it just a little while ago and it's delicious, too. The Vanilla BBP I have done before as a cold drink with almond milk and I added cinnamon to it, wonderful. I just made the pudding as well and it's good, not as good as the chocolate but still good. And all of the BBP flavored varieties (such as chocolate, vanilla, banana, and cinnamon apple) are sweetened with stevia so no added sugar. Also no preservatives or added sodium.
I am supposed to be finishing a report, but I want to play online for awhile. This is my last work-all-day schtick for awhile. Maybe forever. I need a nap, but I will go to work in a few hours and pretend that I am awake. I haven't quite perfected the fine art of sleeping on the job (and remaining employed), but I get a few ideas from the Beauty Thread and the mystery shopping Academy Award thread... Beauty mask now becomes Alertness mask. With a little putty, latex, or whatever works for your stage in life, you could sleep behind the right faked-up face. Put up a sign, making it frantic, desperate, and a little heart-wrenching, that you are unavailable until further notice or until the [fictitious urgent project of the moment] is completed.

Peeps will tiptoe past your office, see your Alertness mask, and silently applaud you for your diligence and willingness to put them off in the interest of work. They will nominate you for Employee of the Year.

Or not.

Did the easiest job, (no lies allowed), easy peasy.....Big box near home, time took 20 minutes because couldn't find help. One question to ask, 4 minute report, upload two pic's, 15.00 in pocket... figure it out, I don't do math, but sounds decent to me. 24.00 min = 15.00$...have whole day to myself....

Nice way to spend a day, Irene.

The demo went well. Lots of intrigued people and lots of sales. Now looking into an avocado mousse with chocolate...sounds weird but I am going to give it a try because it's bound to be so much healthier than any sort of other mousse!
I notice here their using avocado and bacon in so many things.....the chocolate helps...smiling smiley

I cooked corned beef and cabbage today. When Youngest Son popped into town to do a couple of errands I invited him to stay for dinner. Had only planned for two people, so I experimented by cooking the yuca root I had bought at the Asian market and serving it as an additional potato substitute.

Happy Monday! I have only two jobs today. Yay! This makes up for the multitudinous little errands that I have to do throughout the day. I am trying to put together a profitable little road trip, but I cannot find enough shops/reports that fit into a limited time frame. Wish me luck with that.

I got the nicest email from the restaurant i raved about inviting me to come back Tuesday and get that meal again "On the house", and meet the chef. Remember, "onions in tequila" (to die for).....today, library preparing for a hotel I just got in (my printer is down). Long Beach, one night includes breakfast and dinner. Finally, looking forward to getting away. Long Beach has gondola canals like Venice Italy....going to go exploring....

JAS, how did your avocado mousse turn out? I tasted it somewhere in the past. It was really delicious.

Happy Tuesday!

During my three and one half minutes of free time, I will contemplate the meaning of deferred projects and feed the birds.

I'm going for a walk at lunch and after work, I'm getting my nails done and my hair cut.
