What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Clean the car and prep it for four job types. Study for upcoming research project. This project is interesting in and of itself, and we gather data (you guessed it) in the wilderness. Perfection! Huzzah!

Hand sewing a curtain hem, two shops, regular work, laundry, calling loved ones, supper, plan to watch Schindler's List on Netflix.
Ahh, Monday! (The easy day at the early a.m. job.) "That was easy!"

So then I decided to look into 70's international pop music. This is fun!!!!! I will have to drag myself away from this and do something in today's world. But... but... this is fun and I want to listen to this. And the videos! What a trip! But that is enough about me. We should hear from others now.

Got home about 5 from spending Fri afternoon till about 1:30 today with my son, DIL, and grandbaby at their apt up in NC. I had such a great time because they genuinely seem to enjoy all our time being together. Just being together. Not doing anything fancy. Went to the park, went out to eat, went to church, stayed at home. Watched my 2 year old granddaughter "dance" to children's songs Sunday nite.....she is SUCH a riot!! I laughed so hard, I started crying!! She makes it all up as she goes!! Sometimes her "dance" steps look like she's stomping on grapes...other times, she looks like she's rolling pizza dough! It's all so funny! Anyhow, back to the real world in another day or so! But it was great to get away and get up to see them all!

More prep for the research project. Looking for a day in March for a hair trim. I found a split end. Therefore, I am in need of a trim. Or something like that.

That's such a beautiful drive!! Envying you now! Hubby & I go up to PA usually once a year, and go up Hwy 81/Hwy77 thru the Shenandoah Valley...it's breathtaking and so serene!! Hope you got some renewal for your day while you drove through there!
Good day here. We are all ready for our volunteer research project. Next, we focus on getting through a few more scheduled projects. Soon, we will have free time! When that happens, the books and the music come out to play... Huzzah!

You got a nearby Aldi! YAY! That has to be one of my favorite grocery stores. The first time I went in there, I was disgusted but I went back. Now I do my regular grocery shopping there.

That's too funny! When my childhood dog misbehaved, he got 10 minutes in the downstairs closet. One day I came home from school and saw that he had been in the trash. I went looking for him. He put himself in the closet. He was so proud.

Been there, done that with trying to give cats pills. OTOH, I had a dog who was on pills for years. It didn't take long before I no longer had to hide the pill in food. She would take the pill, swallow it and then take her treat. Instead of calling out "treat," all I had to do was shake the pill bottle and she would come running.

The great day became more interesting. I decided to search for information about all groups that are associated with the famous bank and car rental companies which have cut ties with the NRA. I wanted to find out if there was any discrepancy or apparent unfairness. I cannot find a list of other groups which have been or are endorsed by the bank and car renters. What other endorsements or associations might offend people? Inquiring minds want to know.

Speaking of the NRA, Dave's sporting is not going to be carrying the machine gun that killed the latest in Fl.
The owner's pulling all those type guns. I do know several banks and huge companies are cutting funds to the NRA...Wal-Mart is one,.very good news, looks like change is on the way. Kids taking action gets it done.
Today brought a return, still haven't heard from hotel, pending.....computer stuff and deciding what to have for dinner., I had the best slice of pizza from Whole Foods for lunch. they use good oil, healthy and delicious.

You'll have a shorter list of what doesn't offend people.

I got a call tonight from an MSC I like to work for. They were desperate to fill the shop. No bonus. No thanks. It's for a sports bar that I enjoy shopping.

I agree that WF knows how to do pizza. What type did you have?

Yesterday I waited around for a mattress delivery. We upsized from a full mattress to a queen, so today I started the hunt for a new bedspread.

I think it was new, a white pizza (no tomato sauce or tomato's), white cheese that was so delicious. I don't know what it is called but next time I go I'll ask.....the best. One slice is filling. Nothing I've eaten can compare.

Smacking the air three inches in front of my forehead. Because I forgot to bring the Excedrin to the jobsite. Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.... !

Cyberbawling like a cyberbaby helped a bit. I now feel ridiculous, which detracts from feeling the headache.

But the day was good otherwise. I did a little history review, contemplated the meaning of life, and wore smaller pants for the few moments before I needed to breathe again.

@Shop-et-al. I know the feeling. Forgetting your Excedrin is a strict no no for me as well. I keep a few in a pill box in my handbag always.
Busy day, got a lot done errand wise....figured out what I'll send my daughter for her B-day. She'll be back from a work trip to New York the 5th, so I'll mail it then...we always said we'll pick out a meaningful card and write a note, I have shoe boxes of memories having done this since her college days...but, things have changed and this year she'll get a gift card which is what she wants, having seen clothes from express, and I'm here to please.
Tomorrow I have two jobs, so today was taking care of my stuff. Nice day, great to have time on my hands and play.

I'm busy learning new things, trying new things and in general changing things up. Less time on the internet and more time going "AHA!"
Watching and listening to the row of pine trees behind my house. They ate taller than the house and with 40 MPH winds and gusts to 65 mph, they have been moaning and dancing like mad since about 3 AM. Since I grew up in tornado country, night high winds sounds make my sleep "uneasy." BUT, the spectacle is also fascinating. This is the sort of wind that knocks down frail people as they try to cross the street. A good day to stay in, make soup and maybe cranberry nut bread.

The First rain of the season has arrived last night, staying until Sunday, clears the air and much waited for.
Snow galore in the mountain areas. Doing a fitness tour this morning, then Robeks, reports, and stay home, pay bills and looking for flights somewhere, Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco in late April, have points to be used up.

Shoveling the nine inches of heavy wet snow that has fallen here. I'm so done with winter.

Kim
Well, I've been eating one frozen banana a day for a few days now since I read about this in the Forum from Kimmie, JAS, among others. Banana is no longer my least favourite fruit.

Finally, my income tax is now filed. I have gathered enough boxes of shoes and winter clothing, plus a filing cabinet. I called the Salvation Army to donate them as I have no way of getting them to the store. I was previously told that they would pick up if I were an invalid. Checked the website and it said I actually have to take pictures of my donations and email the photos before they could arrange for pick up. Oh, no! I am too exhausted...
Planning to finish my fed and state taxes; deposit rent check; do laundry and reorganize kitchen storage.

(It's okay. I have four almost-free days next week,)
